It seems like they just released the game in a state that was too early. It seems like the game was originally meant to come out around June sometime. I agree with you though, why can't they just count it as a loss? Maybe by seeing who keeps getting banned, they can take some notes.
"Never satisfied, never full, they eat and destroy with grubby hands until nothing is left but piss, but now the judgement of all humans has begun."
Easily regarded as one of the best Street Fighter 5 players on the scene today, Tokido had some interesting things to say about the game.
As many know, Tokido is known for playing Akuma in the Street Fighter 4 series. Since the character is absent from the current Street Fighter 5 roster, the Gouki main is playing Ryu in his stead. But it seems like this is just a temporary choice despite Tokido's feeling that Ryu is very strong in this game.
"In the future, Akuma will be there," Tokido starts. "I choose Ryu, who is also a Shoto, to learn the fireballs and other special moves of this type of character."
Tokido also states which game he prefers playing -- Street Fighter 5 or its predecessor -- and gives his thoughts on his performance at Red Bull Kumite.

Here are some Redbull highlights from eventhubs:
Daigo and Tokido trade comebacks, Kazunoko throws caution to the wind and Momochi redefines the term 'Hail Mary'; Red Bull Kumite highlights, part one
Red Bull Kumite 2016 has come and gone, and it truly was one of the most exciting events we've seen this year.
There were a ton of incredible plays today, and so we've put together two highlight posts for this one event. This is part one of our collection of our favorite moments from this year's event.
The best place to start is usually at the beginning, and Red Bull Kumite absolutely kicked things off with one of the most explosive match ups they could have arranged. MCZ|Daigo vs. Tokido is rarely a first round fight, but these two top players got it on early, and they didn't disappoint.
The tournament's very first round came to a climactic finish when both competitors took turns narrowly whiffing normals that would certainly KO on hit. After a very tense sequence, these two Japanese gods end things with a double knock out.
Daigo and Tokido started things at "11" and kept raising the intensity levels from there as both competitors pulled out insane comebacks on one another.
While Daigo's featured the more traditional corner push paired with smart reads, Tokido's comeback left us at a loss for words. He corners himself, and uses Tatsu as a frame trap... twice.
In Street Fighter 5 Ken's damage off frame trapping is terrifying, and so naturally this opens up his throw game quite a bit. EG|Momochi takes full advantage of this in his match against Alioune.
The reigning EVO champ chucks Al's Chun-Li three times in a row, and tries very hard for a fourth.
Facing off in losers semi finals, RB|Bonchan and Kazunoko decided to live life on the edge and throw caution to the wind.
Kaz is known for his liberal wake up reversal attempts, and in one particular sequence, Bonchan decided to match his foe's enthusiasm for DP's. The two go all out, trading wake up uppercut after wake up uppercut.
This might be the closest thing to football's Hail Mary pass as you can get in Street Fighter. Momochi finds himself on the wrong end of teammate EG|Justin Wong's Critical Art, and has a ton of ground to make up with very little time to do so.
In an act of what looks like pure desperation, Momochi follows a full screen fireball with Ken's V-Skill, canceled into Tatsu, which somehow finds its mark. From there, Momochi follows with a combo into Critical Art to steal away both the game and Justin's soul.

Here are Redbull Replays from eventhubs:
Infiltration juggles Tokido with Sonic Boom into Critical Art, Justin scores a clutch time out: Red Bull Kumite 2016 replays
Red Bull Kumite 2016 took place over the weekend, and this event brought together some of the best Street Fighter 5 players on the scene today together under one roof.
If you didn't get a chance to catch all of the action, fear not. Red Bull eSports has uploaded a slew of matches over on YouTube.
These replays include the winners, losers, and grand finals sets, along with bouts featuring players such as MCZ|Daigo, EG|Justin Wong, EG|Momochi, RZR|Xian, and more.
To get you started, check out this GIF in which RZR|Infiltration scores a sick juggle on Tokido in grand finals.

Heres another Redbull highlights from eventhubs:
Daigo's beautifully inescapable unblockable, Bonchan's brutal beat down and Kazunoko's heartbreak; Red Bull Kumite highlights part two
At the nail biting end of the third round of the third game between Kazunoko's Cammy and RZR|Xian's F.A.N.G, the life bars eek dangerously close to empty. Poison and chip damage seem to be the name of the game until the two clash in mid air with this surprising result.
Innova|Keoma and EG|Justin Wong did the dance of the Karins in the second round of the losers bracket. Keoma explained that he looks up to Justin for Karin tech, and identifies himself as "the student" in this relationship.
Justin's mastery definitely shined through in their bout, as he picked his foe apart without breaking too much of a sweat. Even as Keoma begins a last ditch effort to try to bring things back via Karin's V-Trigger, Justin makes the following read to secure his victory.
Remember earlier how Bonchan had his lunch taken away? Well, instead of going hungry he decided to pay it forward and take RZR|Infiltration's lunch without asking.
Facing demotion into the losers bracket with just one more touch from Infiltration's Nash, Bonchan mounts an impressive comeback in which he takes his foe to the corner and just keeps him there. Even when Infil tries to escape via V-Trigger, Bonchan tele-throws him back for the KO.
This was one of the most intense sequences in all of Red Bull Kumite this year. Kazunoko and Tokido find themselves in the absolute final round with almost no health and about 20 seconds on the clock.
Kaz makes a great read with Cammy's V-Skill to slip past Tokido's fireball, but his connecting attack is just shy of doing enough damage for the KO. Normally this move combos into crouching medium punch, but Tokido is just shy of being close enough.
One whiffed Cannon Strike later it's curtains for Kazunoko.
More often than not, when the terms "Mika" and "corner" are in a sentence, you're probably hearing about how a Mika took someone to the corner, and then kept them there with her ridiculous mix up potential. This isn't that.
In a fresher story line, MCZ|Daigo takes RB|Luffy's Mika to the corner with a good old fashioned Ryu beat down. Once there, Daigo sets up a good old fashioned Ryu unblockable. Luffy tries to escape with a quick EX Shooting Peach, but Daigo laughs, (internally, of course) and does this:

Here are 2 extended themes of Guile from eventhubs:
Guile's theme is so good, Capcom decided to make two versions of it for Street Fighter 5
Whether you're running a marathon, combing your hair, playing checkers, looking for couch money or doing virtually anything else, there's one Street Fighter melody that will pair perfectly with just about any activity you can think of.
Nearly two weeks ago we got hold of Guile's Street Fighter 5 theme, and we were thoroughly impressed with Capcom's fresh spin on one of the franchise's most popular musical tracks.
Guile also came with his classic Air Force stage, which actually ended up getting its own updated version of the theme that goes so well with everything. Essentially, between Guile's character music and stage music, there are now two SF5vrenditions of everyone's favorite comeback tune.
VesperArcade has uploaded the extended versions of both so you can listen to them in their entirety. Give an ear to each song, and let us know which you enjoyed better in the comments.

Here are plans for offline content from eventhubs:
Street Fighter 5 has more unannounced offline gameplay content according to Yoshinori Ono
If you felt a bit underwhelmed by Street Fighter 5's offline content offerings, Capcom has heard you loud and clear.
Revisiting and interview that Yoshinori Ono did with Game Informer magazine, Capcom reiterated that they haven't forgotten about the single player content, and Ono expresses that the story expansion coming in June — and other updates — will deliver a more robust offline experience that fans have been requesting.
"Additionally, we're looking into adding a versus CPU mode, and more new unannounced gameplay content for offline players that will be made available for free throughout 2016 and beyond," said Ono.
Although Capcom made it clear there's more coming in the future, they also acknowledged that fans were disappointed with what launched in February 2016.
"We were so excited to get the game in the hands of our fans, and we did our best to include as much content as we could for the February launch, but obviously some players expected more," stated Ono.
"For those fans, all we can say is that we're working hard to address the concerns that have been voiced, and we have huge plans in place for regular game updates that will contain enhancements and new content additions," he said.
"As we've stated in the past, Street Fighter 5 is an evolving platform that will continue to get more refined and built upon over time.
"For us, this is a marathon and not a sprint, and we appreciate all of the words of support as we embark on this journey together," Ono concluded.

Here are some early character concepts from eventhubs:
Gen's disciple was considered for Street Fighter 5; early character designs also show 3 different 'Laura' ideas
Gen's disciple used to be a thing, Street Fighter 5's director Takayuki Nakayama has revealed in a blog post on the game's official website (in Japanese).
The unnamed successor to Gen was conceived as one of the potential new characters to be introduced in Capcom's latest. He was described as an ambitious young fighter whose lifelong goal was to defeat Akuma, as well as a "dark hero" who stood against Necalli.
He was also said to have delivered the finishing blow to a weakened Gen.
Other scrapped SF5 character ideas featured in the blog post include (in order): a literary master, a president, three alternate designs for Laura -- including a male counterpart who was skilled in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and soccer -- an earlier version of F.A.N.G, and a souped up version of the Shadaloo soldier we saw in Alex's story mode playthrough.

Here are more Redbull interviews from shoryuken:
Catch Up with Infiltration and Snake Eyez with these Interviews from Red Bull Kumite
We saw some amazing Street Fighter V play at the (now) annual Red Bull Kumite. This, of course, is partly because the event brought together some of the strongest players on the planet.
With so many great players, this was a chance to get to know some of them better, and also to discuss their thoughts on many aspects of Street Fighter V. The folks at Looping Show Game did exactly that, speaking to RZR|Infiltration and Red Bull’s Snake Eyez at the event.

Here are appearances of Able & Juri (again) from eventhubs:
Abel plays a prominent role, Juri makes yet another shady appearance; watch Guile's Street Fighter 5 story here
With the recent release of Guile we also gained access to yet another part of the Street Fighter 5 backstory.
YouTuber OniBojan has put the American hero's full Story Mode adventure up for us all to watch, and we couldn't help but note the fact that Street Fighter 4's Abel is a major part of it. We also wind up briefly running into Juri, one of the game's confirmed future DLC characters.

Here are some Guile stuff from big name players from eventhubs:
Daigo zones, Momochi goes in, Sako shows off and Bonchan gets beat up; top players take on Guile in Street Fighter
Some of the world's strongest Street Fighter players, MCZ|Daigo, RB|Bonchan, HORI|Sako and EG|Momochi, have been investigating Street Fighter 5's newest character: Guile.
We've seen a ton of potential in the new DLC fighter, both in defense and offense. Each player has a different approach to the character, and each sees success in their own way... except for Bonchan, he just loses.
Daigo, Sako and Bonchan play each other in the most recent episode of Daigo's live show, and Sako also shows off a whopping 43-hit, 652 damage combo. It's so long, we couldn't fit the full combo into the gif:
We also have 20 minutes of Momochi's Guile playing online against various opponents. There's plenty of top player action, so hit the jump and get started.
Also, here's Sako's full combo, complete with Critical Art finish:

Details about HP whiffs on crouching opponent from eventhubs:
Alex's forward heavy punch whiffs on crouching opponents when it's supposed to hit? Snake Eyez shows us why this happens
In Street Fighter 5, Alex's forward heavy punch is an excellent tool when used as a meaty attack. Hitting the opponent on their wake up with the last animation frames of the command normal will definitely lead to a counter hit if they try their luck and press a button.
RB|Snake Eyez recently found that this attack -- which is supposed to always hit crouching opponents -- will whiff under certain circumstances.
Though it appeared to be a bug on Alex's part, Snake Eyez has found the answer. The top-level player has released two videos: one showing the whiff in action, and an explanation as to why it's happening.
Apparently, when a character turns around and is crouching, their hurtbox remains on the original side for a brief moment. This causes the forward heavy punch to whiff when used as a meaty.
This humorous sighting has brought about laughs for many years, and it's more than likely that the developers didn't mean for it to be quite what it looks like.
I'm not so sure that I can say the same for the new Air Force Base stage in Street Fighter 5.
With Guile came a remake of his classic SF2 stage, complete with hangars, the jet, and the same background characters from the original backdrop. The woman is also back, and this time she's doing something far more questionable than she did 25 years ago.
The following footage has been spreading across the internet over the past week or so, and the general consensus feels that her hand gestures this time just... don't look quite right. See for yourself after the jump.
Back in 2014, a feud between Viscant and Low Ti3r God started brewing. After a handful of online matches and a ton of smack talk on Twitter, the two players met up at Wednesday Night Fights for an Ultra Street Fighter 4 grudge match to settle the score.
Suffering defeat at the hands of Viscant over a year ago, LTG initiated another set, this time in Street Fighter 5. The two players had an exchange over Twitter yesterday that was far more pleasant and respectful than what we've seen in the past.
The bad blood is behind them, and it's great to see these two lock horns once again.
Throughout this set, Viscant opts to use Chun-Li, then switched over to Vega. LTG, on the other hand, jumps between Nash and Alex.
Below is just a quick clip to get you started. Be sure to hit the jump to catch the action.

Heres info about LPN joining Circa eSports from eventhubs:
LPN joins Circa eSports as their official Street Fighter 5 player
Long "LPN" Phi Nguyen is seeing a lot of success recently. Fresh off of his 4th place victory at Northwest Majors last weekend, Circa eSports has announced that he will be representing them on the Street Fighter 5 tournament scene.
Circa|LPN has been grinding it out since the early phases of the beta, and this may well just be the beginning of the payoff. Thanks to the sponsorship, he'll be at Dreamhack in Austin this weekend, and several other stops on the Pro Tour coming up.

Heres a character guide of Guile from eventhubs:
Strong projectiles and anti-airs keep Guile true to form - Capcom's official character guide
Street Fighter 5's Character Guides continue to roll out, and today we'll be taking a look at Guile.
What we've seen of Guile so far has been pretty impressive considering he's only been released for a week. While there is still much exploration to be done, Guile's place in Street Fighter V is looking pretty promising.
Looking at the cons listed in the video, Capcom actually feels Guile has a hard time landing combos and pressuring the opponent. You can see his pros and cons in the image below.
In spite of this, we've seen quite a bit of combo highlights out of the character, including players landing the V-Trigger loop combos in actual matches.
Perhaps Capcom knows something about Guile that we haven't quite figured out yet.

Heres a match of Maximilian vs Demetrius Johnson from eventhubs:
Maximilian squares up against UFC Flyweight champ Demetrius Johnson's Nash in Street Fighter 5
It's always exciting to see a professional athlete stepping into the virtual ring to play some Street Fighter.
UFC Flyweight Champion Demetrius Johnson is certainly an impressive athlete, currently boasting the longest active championship reign at 8 title defenses. But do his skills in the octagon translate to his skills in Street Fighter 5?
Maximilian recently got the chance to put that theory to the test. He ran into Demetrius online and played a series matches against him, pitting his Guile up against Demetrius' Nash.
Max begins the bout by stating that he's "nervous," because of Johnson's abilities to read opponents and make quick decisions. He has at least one good sequence though, really taking it to the UFC champ early on:
Over the weekend, Dreamhack Austin brought together many Street Fighter V players to compete in the Capcom Pro Tour ranking event. In the midst of the competition, some notable names from around the community, like Logan Sama and Panda Global’s Filipino Champ, began complaining about the PlayStation 4 version of Street Fighter V–the current competitive standard–having 8 frames of native, offline input lag.
This isn’t the first we’ve heard of the issue, as a recent lag test video courtesy of Display Lag confirmed that the title clocks in at about 122ms/7.3 frames on a 60hz television screen. As all of our favorite fighting titles tend to run at a smooth 60 frames per second, this extra 8 frame delay between a physical button press and an action being performed on-screen is extremely detrimental to those competitors who prefer to play with a more reactionary style.
For comparison’s sake, the PC version of SFV has only 4 frames of native input lag, and the Xbox 360 version of Ultra Street Fighter IV, which stood as the tournament standard for the series until the release of the PS4 version, weighs in at a mere 85ms/5.1 frames. The PS4 version of that title comes in at a similar 89ms/5.3 frames following its 1.03 patch, which looked to bring the two versions closer into parity for competitive play.
You can see the results of Display Lag’s findings below, as well as a few Tweets from concerned players who have experienced this problem first-hand.

Yea, that can definitely feel annoying when you're being cheated of a win because of that. It also makes certain characters (Ken, Mika, Dhalsim, etc.) much more dangerous. I removed v-sync and I have a g sync monitor and it helps, although I still get that feeling here and then like "I pressed a button, what the hell?"
