booyah! you put this one together pretty quick C. gj. 8/10 I just downloaded the Paint Shop Pro. Here's the handy work. Lol is that a new sig I see? I'm sorry I still haven't done yours and jackred's. I have been meaning to do it but I haven't been on my comp too much fiddling. I'll still do your sig though, because I said I would. But I'll do red's first since he doesn't have one. But honestly now that you're making your own you will probably like doing your own work. To avoid those "lines" you need to select the part of the pic you're keeping instead of just taking the whole square.

You can feel free to make a DV sig though whenever time permits. Thanks for the tip by the way. I still don't know what blend option to use though. I'm trying to get it so that the edges blend more and more with the background. I just haven't found an option for that...

S'all good. You can use the Vader one after that one, or look at it for reference.

3.1 got a new sig, I give that a 9. Cool. Thanks! I'm 95% that the Japanese is correct (it says Garyuu). It does say Garyuu, but there are three different alphabets in Japanese, and I haven't learned about two of them. I'm not sure that the Kanji is the only acceptable way for writing "Garyuu" or what.

I concur with the 9 btw, but I already told you I thought it was awesome in a pm. What's the third type? Romanized and kanji are all that I'm aware of.

There are three alphabets in Japanese. Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji. Hiragana and Katakana are both phonographic, so each character represents a sound. Katakana though, is used when writing words from different languages. So, they would use the Katakana alphabet if they were to write an English word (Katakana was actually made from Kanji). Kanji is the third alphabet, which came from China. In this alphabet each character represents a whole word. This can be seen with Akuma. The character that appears on his back represents a whole word.
が= Ga りゅ= Ryu actually two hiragana characters り (ri) and ゅ(yu) that form a different sound when combined う= u

so where does romaji fit in to all of that? Is it part of the katakana alphabet?

Romaji isn't part of any Japanese alphabet. It is just something we use so non Japanese speakers can read it.
They write テレビ to say "Television", but that doesn't make the characters テレビ English.

so romaji is essentially english alphabet for jp? like shun goku satsu?

Yep. Well, Roman if you want to be technical. Just a translation of the characters.
I see the new sig and avi. Groovy man. 8/10 The sig has an unusual look. A lot of it has the painted texture, except for her face.

The paint strokes I just had on the other side of the pic.

Better sig than before, but I recommend blurring a smaller section of it to make it look like the character is in motion instead of blurry, there are times where you *do* want to blur the entire image though.

I actually didn't blur it very much, but if I wanted to make it look like she was in motion, I would have just left the pic the way it was. This makes the picture as a whole just look "fast" for lack of a better word. Anyway C, I'm open to criticism and all, but I mainly want your #/10 for both. And I don't mean the cushy automatic 9 or 10, just give me a score and tell me what your standard was. Anyway, if it's one thing I like about it, it's the blood red signature.

Hmm right now I'd say a 6 or a 6.5. You want it to look a bit fresher, and higher quality. You might want to consider saving it under a png format. Also you want to get used to using filters, but all of that comes with time. Filters gives you different effects. It's good to know all of it before you get settled into your own style.

@dm: Is that from Samurai Champloo or whatever? I've been meaning to watch that, but I haven't.
Anyway, it's okay. I don't like the effect very much and the date on the bottom-left is a bit obnoxious, but it's not bad. I'd give it between a 4 and a 7.25 out of 10 depending on how I feel at the moment.

I thought about that too, maybe a border and text, but I like the simple look it has.
