John Preston versus Wesley Gibson Gunfight in Tombstone city. Both are armed with twin pistols. Preston is aware that Wesley is a bullet curver, and Wesley is aware that Preston employs Gun Kata. Infinite ammo for both. Who wins? This was debated on KMC, and to be honest I can't decide. Sometimes I think Preston, others Gibson.

Wesley's curving of bullets and being able to shoot the wings off flies and other bullets out of the air trumps Gunkata.
Though in a hundred matches, Preston would win quite a few I'd imagine; just not the majority.

See, this is where I seesaw back and forth.......I understand the concept of gun kata, but if the bullets Wesley fires start and end at the same point, what difference does it make?

Because Gunkata's mathematics rely on bullets traveling in a straight line. Take that away, the math is compromised. Preston might avoid; he might not.

I get that, but still, the starting and end point of the bullet remains the same. If anything, the bullet curving gives him even more time to evade, right?

The curve is what throws off his math. He would be positioning himself according to how normal bullets would travel, the curve means he may move out and then move back in the bullets path at the point it crosses him, especially if there's more than one bullet.
So he could dodge or he could not, instead of doing his beautiful and flawless dance of always avoiding. Now I couldn't tell you exactly how much it would compromise Gunkata, just that it logically would. The chance of failure would also increase with each bullet. Just one, he'd probably be fine.
Preston and Equilibrium is both a better character and superior film. But Wesley's bullet curving is Gunkata's weakness.

Agreed on the last part. Still undecided on the rest. I get what you're saying though, good points.

Not only do you get what I am saying, but you also agree in full; this I know. You're just too stubborn and "butt-hurt" (as you say) to admit it because of the spankings I've thoroughly given you in these Vs matches.
Now respond with a "you mad" and/or "calm down", boy.

Nah, I'm on the fence here. What you said is true if I was siding with Preston.
