Discuss this new game
apparantly it has some graphical problems on the PC and yet its fine on the consoles,
PC problems- frequent texture popping-in and out, texture flickering and noticeable screen tearing when looking around.

Good thing about pc is that those problems can be easily diagnosed and fixed with PC updates. On consoles it would be bad news.

No, in the new world of PSN and XBL, updates can be made available to patch any console game. So at this point developers DON'T have to test their games ad nauseum until there are absolutely zero problems. What a sick world this is.

Yea, it's always possible, but with games it's a much more limiting and costly manner. Take Duke for instance. They already added a 4 weapon mod. Doing it for the consoles is just too much of a hassle for them. Also I don't think there were "zero" problems with games in the past, in fact games way back then had loads of glitches and many were unbeatable because of them.

Well it seems to be the case with Western games now, Japanese made games seemed not to have as many glitches/bugs.

Games on the PC tend to be much better than their console counterparts though. For obvious reasons.

But the problem with PC games is you always have to upgrade something just to get the game working.

But the problem with PC games is you always have to upgrade something just to get the game working. I find PC's to be more cost effective really. They are superior machines (all of them are computers, even cellphones) Consoles are just good because they're simple, cheap ways to play newer games. If you know a thing or two about computers, you can custom build one for cheap, and then change one part every couple of years for a couple hundred bucks. And then you can use it for email, business, etc. If you go the consumer route and buy one prepackaged every couple of years, you are paying more though.
