Wouldn't bet on it. I bet 10k Capcom's next fighter is SFvsMK, Nintendo VS Capcom, or some other stupid shit like that.

I'm afraid I don't have the same confidence in Capcom. They came so strong in 08-09, but now they're just failing.

There will always be a group of people who will be unsatisfied, they want to sell their products in the way that it will be purchased the most, they're a business, no more no less.

LOL
Actually, their sales are failing. They are still turning profits, but each SF/Versus sales MUCH less than the one they produced the last year.
Wouldn't be that way if they actually added some diversity to their releases and some space between them. What people don't know is, Capcom JP rules capcom, the japanese are known for rather silly buisness practices that are effective in their country but......silly outside of their homeland. Capcom USA even shows some serious signs of WTFery towards the JP branch.
It's why you have a billion pokemons, marios, and SFs a year while you have a Halo and CoD every few years and they move tens of millions of units with every year. Huge differences in how they do buisness. However, when you look at the VG market in Japan, it's failing at an alarming rate, while the rest of the world's market simply "change". It's becoming more and more obvious that the JP VG execs just do......"dumb buisness". Note Nintendo reporting MAJOR loses last quarter.

That's because you're releasing the same game over and over, SF4 did well as did MvC, but yea I wished they would do newer stuff. The casuals rule the market. Cod and Halo are just the same games released every year marketed towards the casual market. SF is somewhat casual, but like Twisted Metal it is still catered to a more hardcore competitive audience at spirit. There are many reasons for it. Yea, Nintendo tried the casual market with the Wii, and now they are starting to slow up a bit as the casuals look for a new thing, hardcore players aren't so quick to change, though they do complain a lot.

There is indeed, a noticeable decline with Capcom SF/Versus spam.
SFIV = 3.5 mill
Super = 1.5(+) mill
MVC3 = 2(+) mill (It was projected to out do vanilla IV)
AE = 300k(+) UMVC3 = 600k (projected to out do Super)
Nintendo wasn't the only Co. that saw profits fall. S.Enix, Namco, and Capcom also said profits were down, not as sharply as Nintendo's but still down from the amazin years they had before. Capcom and Namco really boggled my mind cuz their response to this was that they were just gonna churn out more of their flagships at a faster rate. Darkstalkers right after MVC3 or hell, before MVC3, with a decent break afterwards woulda did those guys some real good.
You gotta make people want these games. That's why SFIV and Super sold so damn well, cuz they waited. O'course they shouldn't wait that long again, but every year of the same fighters-in the same series, is just brutal.
Capcom's got Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Sengoku Basara, Megaman, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Dead Rising, tons of sleeper but well loved franchises (Darkstalkers, Dino Crisis, Onimusha, Ace Attorney...) and Marvel VS Capcom. These guys are blessed. Companies would kill to have so many franchises that can moves millions of units under the right conditions. There's no reason why there should be five Street Fighters and four Capcom Versus games in just 5 years. Wtf are they doing?!

Yea, some new things, but mostly the same. Capcom is going to lose money on each SF4, they are just rehashes of the same game with a bit more content. The average casual gamer has no incentive to go out and buy Super Street Fighter 4 AE, when Street Fighter 4 was fine. They don't care much about the differences. Only people who waited (like me) or are more hardcore would bother. Just like people who buy multiple copies for each system. Same with Marvel vs Capcom. Just to be expected. Capcom is far from struggling. Taking the same product, adding a bit more content and then flipping it again for another 50% of what the original made? That's pretty profitable actually. At least 2012 AE FINALLY comes out for PC. Took long enough. Now I can get my buffed E. Ryu.

Well yea... they have to do that every few years, casual players care about graphics more than anything. Gameplay can be crap as long as graphics are good.
