They'll make CVS3 before Darkstalkers, since there not making Darkstalkers. And since it has SF characters in it, such popular faces, it will be tailored for casuals. Hopefully, to the degree of SFIV and not MVC3. I'm sure we are going to have to have a funeral for Grooves, too. Since that would be far too complicated for the Average Joe.

I'm not sure we'll see a Capcom vs SNK 3 for a long, long time due to the hassle it would take, but who knows. I think Darkstalkers would be nearer in the future. Capcom vs SNK had only 2 grooves. I'd love it if they kept multiples. Noobs will just choose a "C" groove or whatever.

Care to make a wager, then? Capcom VS SNK is Crossover AND basically a SF game at the same time. Capcom will bare the burden of those hurdles to push out something like CVS3, rather than actually do something "totally different" and challenging for the development teams.
They jumped through hoops just to put Strider in MVC3, Final Fight characters in SFIV & SFxT, and allegedly went through hell to bring TVC to the states. When it comes to crossovers and SF, nothing is impossible anymore.

It's faster, has multiple grooves and multiple supers per character with no comeback mechanics, it also had air guard and rolling. It played somewhat like SF but in someways it was faster paced (or slower) depending on how it is played. SNK is having problems of its own as well. Which is why I'm skeptical.

C and P grooves were the best grooves for most of the characters, tho. You can pull off some of the craziest shit with 3 jab or short supers. Not even gonna talk about V-ism. All I gotta say to that is, "Paint the-Motha Phuckin-Fence!"
Sakura, Sagat, Blanka and Bison are just too gdlk with those grooves.

A groove was awesome, for the ones who could use them. P-Groove was ultimate in theory but had a hard time with A groove with the lack of defense tech (besides parrying). K-Groove was great with Geese.
Cammy was good in that game. Hibiki was as well.
I can paint the fence and shosho now. I made it my goal since I got my fightstick. Good practice and a very good combo. Back before they noobified it, like SF4.

They did, since SNK went bankrupt and was then bought out. Oh, I know CVS is very different from SF, I was simply getting at the massive amount of SF characters that were already present in the games. The Grooves alone, made that game vastly different form the normal SF and like you said, Grooves can really change what the game will feels like. Just wish the game had a Vampire Groove. Chain combos, pursuit attacks, 99 stackable meters, EXs, and Dark Forces would have been a blast. Also, I'm not sure if SNK Playmore, is doing well or not, but I know KOFXIII sold rather well. I believe, about half a million units have been sold so far. But with the flop of KOFXII, I'm not sue if that's enough to recover.

Ex's could be ok in some grooves I guess, but you already have level 1, 2, and 3 supers along with powering up which gave you like 15-35 percent on attack bonus depending on groove. I don't know, it could work in a particular groove though.

You could stack up as many meters as you could possibly build, I've never seen a player build up more than 5, but it can be done. The problem comes in Vampire and would have to apply to CVS2, that the Supers and EXs occur in real time. Similar to normal specials. Meaning, their is no "super freeze", thus no invincible-zero frame start ups, like in every other fighting game. You can easily be smacked out of your super before it even starts. And that's wasted meter.
The V-Groove could have EX's and just erase the use of level 1 and 2 supers. V-Groove could also add mid air chains and air dashes.

I like the idea of building as much as possible, and the lack of an invincible start up would help against the Spam. But to me it seems too spammable to have that many supers. I guess if the other person can do it then....

The thing is, with no super freeze, the moves are not invincible and are subject to a lot of start up and recovery. Like Ultras, except no super freeze, the supers in Vampire Savior have to be well placed because they are nigh-impractical to just spam out. It would be like spamming DPs, which never works. With a something like a V-Groove you would really have to know what you are doing, because, like Vampire, whiffing a super could spell doom. Literally, it is common place for combos to do 60% damage and up with only 1 meter.

In SF4 they have invincibility but huge lag (mostly). But they are also comeback mechanics, which I'm not as fond of. "Here, you are getting beat? Here's a move that does 40-60% damage to catch you back up.". That and the long reversal windows really tones it down.

But I came to accept them because they were part of the game, a game that was good. I REALLY didn't mind Ultras after playing MVC3 and seeing X-Factor, which was 1000X worse. At least Ultras added an extra layer of depth, X-Factor nearly ruined the game.

Oh I can live with them, but one noobish thing doesn't deserve another. K-Groove had this a bit, but it had really small amounts of tech compared to the other grooves to balance it out.

A half naked squirrel girl as a fighting game character? Are you seriously asking me why she's terrible? I could say more, but do I really need to? She's worse than "meh".
Not only is she the dumbest design to ever grace the world of fighting games, she phuckin sucks in the game. I hate that bitch more than Sasquatch. At least Squatch was actually good.
