Or he could have modes. Like the Black would be speed or stealth and the classic suit would be more Offensive and Defensive. That's what I'm thinking. A heavy duty suit, and a speed type suit that's tough but not mega tough.

That's what playing lots of beat'em ups do you. You see everything from a game-play perspective vs story.

The issue for me isn't whether it will be good or bad. But, these remakes are getting out of hand. They'll make a movie that is nothing like the original and slap the original title on it. I'm sure I'll enjoy it, but it's getting stale. I guess they're just running out of ideas in Hollywood, but hopefully the movie is at least good. How are they running out of idea's when what did we get last year American Hustle 12 years a slave Pacific Rim Elysium This is the End to name a few.

Pacific Rim is a white washed Japanese mecha . So you would've liked Russians to be played by a japanese actor?

But I haven't seen any of those movies. I just saw Inception (which I liked), so I just like what I like. I think movies in the 2000-2009 period were kind of bleh compared to the golden years, but you still had some good stuff. The stuff now seems to be a bit better though.

It's just kinda silly that Hollywood culturally appropriates Japanese pop-culture and sticks a white guy as the lead all the time. I get it's for business, but still. He's a supposed to be a fan of mecha, but his designs completely miss the mark.

He's also a fan of Gundam itself, It was in a video i seen where he was in Japan promoting the movie and went on a tour.

Also i fail to see how the movie was white washed, Not like it was ment to be a direct adaptation of some Japanese work
now that Akira movie that was planned now that was going to be white washed....Even George Takei had his say for that one.

Would be interesting to see the Asian Will Smith here.

Yeah, people prefer White and Black males. They're viewed as more attractive.

Yeah, people prefer White and Black males. They're viewed as more attractive. I think it's cultural. I mean often a Latin guy will be preferred to a Black guy to many cultures. But Asian and Indian won't be in a general date search. Those don't always play well in real life because of things like charisma and just other factors which help it. I mean Black women are the least desired women overall but in America they get more roles than Asian and Indian women.

Well, Far eastern asians also don't effect the culture as much. Black people in the last half a century have acquired cool status due to influence in music, fasion, or pop-culture in the west. Asians haven't.

Asians haven't. Right, that's more to do with it than physical attractiveness. But I would say that in terms of sexual attractiveness Asian and Indian men are going to be probably the least desired.

Bruce Lee back in his day tried to break that mold.

Asian men are alot more feminine. I don't mean that in a derogatory way, though. But, their culture is alot more cooperative and it makes them less aggressive and more docile in temperament. I've always liked that.

I've always liked that. I think people say that Asians tend to be more androgynous. You could almost swap the two in some ways. Asian girls and guys tend to be thinner and have similar features, etc. I guess the aggression thing varies. Lots of American men over here are cooperative and docile and end up being manginas. That's the bad kind of cooperative though. Bruce Lee back in his day tried to break that mold. Yea, before Bruce if you were Asian you were nerdy. Now you're nerdy or a kung fu master lol.

Asian collectivism doesn't fit into our culture. People like to bring up asians as a role model for westerners, but it's arrogant too say such things without knowing how different our two cultures are.

In Japan for example, people are more collectivistic in public while more individualistic in private [lots of private hobbies].

Same with Hong Kong.

Japan, Taiwain, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Macau. Are the most Western places in the far east. Throw in Israel and you have all the western satellite states in asia.

I might go to Taiwan instead tbh. I think it's better for entrepreneurship.

Back to the Hollywood discussion. I think live action actors are going to go out the window soon and be replaced by what I dub as composite actors. Take Voice actors in cartoons. They specialize in one job: The voice, the rest of the character is created separately. It's more efficient that way and it already happens. The stuntman fills in for the actor in the dangerous parts for example. The reason why I think it's going to happen is because big budget movies now depend so much on Green screen and CG that they're not "Real" anymore. So, you could somehow create a character and it's also better because characters are immortal vs actors.

You know many places have tried to ban machine voices and make it so you have to hire several voice actors in order to keep their jobs. This technological change is being met by more and more resistance by the usual groups.
