I don't know what that would be then. You could force people to follow, but not believe. I guess you could have a religion and not believe it. Not sure, you could have the organized part of it.

Honestly I think most churches operate on this logic. I mean they have to say there's something in it for you if they follow their principles.

I haven't heard a church say " Just do what you want, it doesn't matter."

Nope not even close.

I find it great I can look at old threads and see how I've changed when it comes to religion. When I went to church I was still a free thinker in terms of personal responsibility and all that, but I had faith.

Then I saw what people did with it and I woke up and don't believe in it anymore. I used to have religious discussions here and hated when people used "because the Bible says so" logic.

Well like I said, lack of proof and the fact that it's not necessary to believe in any of it to lead a happy, productive, and responsible life.

Not only that but the behaviors of group think. I don't need it and I don't agree with what they say and also the collectivist ideals that they preach.

More of I believe in freedom and being in control of my life. I don't think he really does and I think it's make believe, but I'm not worried about that. I just focus on believing in myself over some outside force be it government or religion.

I don't believe in a "magical purpose". I just serve what I want, which is personally complete freedom and creating and doing things that I want. I believe that the greatest good is serving my free will. I guess I could immortalize myself by going above and beyond in that area, but I don't think it's anything magical.

Gotcha. You asked me what I thought my purpose was, and I'm like "to do what I want".

For me I like doing a lot of things. So I'd like to basically accumulate as much wealth as possible, get out of the country and travel. From there on I want to push myself as far as I can go in several fields. Don't think I'm having kids, and even if I did it wouldn't be anytime soon. Not until I did everything else I wanted.
