The movie is likely silly, but it's not because of the word "nigger" or whatever else. The hypocrisy is that Jamie Foxx was bragging about killing all of the white people in the movie and the audience laughed. This crap is annoying.

Been reading Tarantino wants to do his own movie version of Tuskagee Airmen 'Killer Crow', it was originally going to be part of Inglorious Basterds

Follows a bunch of black troops, and they had been f–ked over by the American military and kind of go apes–t. They basically — the way Lt. Aldo Raines (Brad Pitt) and the Basterds are having an “Apache resistance” — [the] black troops go on an Apache warpath and kill a bunch of white soldiers and white officers on a military base and are just making a warpath to Switzerland.

I think it has a lot to do with the tone.

Movies like Amistad or some more serious films have a different tone than, "Hey lets put a lot of over the top content in it to get black people to watch!" That can be entertaining to some, but others get bothered by it.

It is immature on their behalf though.
