I was curious as I just got a new EVO monitor to game on for my console. It's an Asus and it is pretty much lagless. Makes a big difference.
I was wondering what other people game on? If you play single player games and most genres like your typical FPS then it probably isn't a big deal. If you're like me and you play competitively especially with fighters or rhythm games the difference is night and day.
So what do you use?

I just use a LCD tv with the HDMI cables plugged in.

I just use a LCD tv with the HDMI cables plugged in. HDMI cuts down on lag significantly. It also looks better.

I found that with FarCry 3 at the time when i got it, I had the AV cable plugged in and was going why does the graphics look like rubbish compared to what i've seen in the trailers. So i plug the HDMI cable in............ excellent even Duke Nukem Forever looks better compared to back then when i got it and i was bringing up the graphics over at KMC.

Yea, without HDMI it looks awful in comparison. It also lags a LOT more too. My fighter games played horrible in comparison without the cable.

I think its a given these days to play them in HD. Yea, no reason not to. HDMI cables are pretty cheap too. The only thing is people get big fancy screens, but if you're playing certain games, the lag can be a big problem. They seem to be better about this than before though.
