We don't have to have him. It works very simply — this is Marvel cinema, not Marvel comics. One thing [Marvel Studios head] Kevin Feige has a genius for is knowing what to hold onto and what to let go of. You can invoke the feeling you had and play with the characters you love and remain true to the needs of the film.

He does have a point....suppose not everything needs to follow what happens with the comics all the time.

i just don't get these people who are

they can accept the different universes in the comics with the different variations of the characters

but when it comes to the movies.....nope i better flip out.

but Hank Pym will be in the the Ant-Man movie but that's going to be part of Phase 3.

So I just watched this today. I won't give away any spoilers that haven't already been mentioned in this thread.

I don't understand anyone's complaint about Ultron's origin story. Is it really that important that he be created by Hank rather than Tony?


If they waited to make Avengers 2 till after Ant Man then we wouldn't even have a second Avengers movie till probably 2017?

Another complaint that I saw was about how Ultron didn't look exactly how he does in the comics. Or that his voice wasn't electronic enough. Now I think people are just being too nitpicky.


I enjoyed the movie. I thought the first one was better, but I'm not complaining. There was some things that felt rushed and others that felt forced. But its an action movie. Hopefully it does well to keep the genre going.

I can watch any movie that has Scarlett Johansson running around in a leather outfit.

I enjoy the cosmic entities, so the fact that the series is moving towards a galactic event is entertaining for me. I enjoy the story of the Infinity Gems.

Yes. But I just always figured a movie like that would never happen.

The necessary development to properly introduce characters of that nature would be tremendous. F42 did a horrible job with Galactus, so imagine trying to introduce characters like Eternity, Stranger, Order and Chaos.

I don't know if Marvel plans on introducing those characters for this storyline, I would like to see it. But I am really looking forward to seeing Thanos battling the heroes. Hopefully Marvel can tie all of its franchises together so the battle would be epic.

It's hard to start with street level foes and work up to cosmic. It's easier to start there or start and stay street. Otherwise it just seems weird to most people.
