Warner Bro's need to take notice of how Marvel does it, Hell even in that gap they could easily give us a Flash Movie or something else...but nope.

Iron Man is way more popular and had the perfect makings for a movie though. Charming rich playboy with issues. Not sure many would like Jonzz'. May be better to do a team movie first IMO.

That's my point. MM appeals to hardcore fans, but probably not the average guy and chick. We all know chicks love the love stories in their movies. Spider-Man, Batman, and Iron Man all had elements of it.

Except for Spider-Man & Iron Man no one knew a great deal about them except for the comic book nerds

as for MM being appealing only to hardcore fans, That's why a movie is a good option to introduce him to a wider audience.

Spider-Man is arguably the most popular comic book character ever. That changes depending on the year but he's definitely right up there with Batman and Superman. Wolverine comes close too. Iron Man is still probably the most popular after Wolverine and probably tied with Hulk.


The issue is that movies cost a lot of money so it would be riskier to do a MM movie than to do a WW movie or Flash movie because he doesn't have the base. Even Green Lantern struggled.

I mean perhaps it could work but I think they'd be better showing him off in another avenue first like a team movie or something before just throwing him out there.

I don't think that your seeing it from the average movie goer stand point,  Some of those character were unknown until they did a movies which had them in it (Wolverine & Iron Man)

that's the more reason to do one because of that risk but of course you need the right people involved with it too.

Wolverine and Iron Man were never unknown; they are some of the most popular characters in comic book history. In fiction even. Wolverine is only surpassed by Spider-Man in popularity. They also have back stories that are more appealing to the average person. Much like Batman.

MM is a green alien who is usually made to have not much of a personality and nobody really knows him. I just don't see it doing nearly as well as Spider-Man. It's no comparison in terms of popularity to warrant that budget.

Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Joker, Green Lantern,etc, these characters are more well known by a large margin. It would have to be one hell of a movie to get people to watch it, but even then comic book movies draw people there because they have to be at least somewhat familiar with it.

I think you're looking at it from the comic book fan standpoint and not the average Joe standpoint.

Watched it 4 times. I was a Superman fan before, but that movie sealed the deal for me.

Edit: Here's a high res shot of the Batsuit. The texture looks very similar to Supermans costume in MOS.
