How did you feel about man of steel? Watched it 4 times. I was a Superman fan before, but that movie sealed the deal for me. Oh so you loved it? I thought it was pretty solid, it had a slow start though. Not bad overall.

Cyborg was also confirmed, forgot to mention that. www.forbes.com/sites/markhughes/2014/04/24/batman-vs-superman-casts-ray-fisher-as-cyborg/Variety is reporting that their sources confirm Warner Bros. has cast actor Ray Fisher to play Victor Stone, a young man who becomes the superhero Cyborg, in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel. Cyborg is a member of the Justice League in DC Comics, and it’s expected the character’s small role in this film sets up his larger role in the Justice League movie set to follow. The story was reported by Variety‘s Justin Kroll.
Cyborg has long been expected to appear in the film, since 2013′s Man of Steel included S.T.A.R. Labs, and writer David Goyer specifically pointed to that as an indication Cyborg might make an appearance on film later. I’ve heard rumors for months that, besides Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, at least one other superhero would have a cameo in the film, and Cyborg was a top contender. I believe there’s also at least one additional superhero character who might make a brief appearance as well.

What elements do you think will make it better? I think it's more anticipation for me. Because unlike Marvels more slow approach where they slowly built their cinematic Universe. DC has jumped into theirs head first and they're revealing everything at once. So, there is so much more to digest at once. [Batfleck, Gal Godot Wonder Woman, etc.] So, there's more curiosity to how it will turn out which makes it more interesting.

But do you think it'll make them burn through content faster?

You're right about the quick pacing. But do you think it'll make them burn through content faster? Well, everyones main concern is will the movie be rushed or not. So many heroes are being introduced at once. I think DC feels they can get away with a quick and hard start. Because they'll do the opposite of marvel and develop stand alones after their team movie.

I think it's also because they went the other route and tried to make him "super badass". Yous must be psychic or something:

Why is everything in this movie Grey and Brown or has washed out colors? I think DC is taking this Grimmdark thing too far.

It looks like some Emo/Twilight shit. Too mainstream for me lol. I'm starting to lose hope if things keep going like this. Warners obsession with realism is worrying me, this garbage has even bled into Mortal Kombat. Look how ugly the costumes in MKX are compared to MK?

Yea, the whole boyscout thing can be annoying, but the "dark and edgy" is done to death as well. I thought the 90's were behind.

These people no nothing about design. Look at the avengers and how their pallets and characters splice together nicely. Now compare it to this:

I hope its good. Fans have been hoping for these types of team up movies for a while.
I do like marvels way of introducing characters in standalone movies. It gets regular people to know the characters.
Its just up to the companies to make some good movies that people will want to watch.

Do you think they'll be able to handle the characterization of so many characters and giving them all their moments to shine? DC is definitely more tilted towards Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman. I'd love to see the Flash get his time to shine as well.

That's really the big question.
I can only assume that WB doesn't think that Wonder Woman can carry a movie on her own. Historically that has been the case.
I think some of the others will just be introduced similar to Hawkeye and Black Widow from Avengers.
GL had a movie, even though it didn't do great at the box office. He's already introduced and can easily join in a JL movie. Similar to Hulk.

Female leads and movies seldom do well though, particularly in comics. Yea, many Superhero movies were hit and miss, Avengers did it without Spidey, so hopefully DC can do it as well. Movies that get too crowded often have bad results.

If we look at other superheroine movies, not necessarily comic book based, some movies with female leads have been successful. Lara Croft and Underworld come to mind. I hope the movie does well. I enjoy the genre and hope to see more of this type of movie.
