I've been watching this series. I wanna what you guys think about it? One thing that's weird is donnies crush on april. He even had a wallpaper of her eating pizza on his computer screen. . .creepy.

I must admit I like this more than I thought I would. I wasn't sure at first but it turned out well. Glad they didn't go out full Raph wank mode like I thought they would.

And yea Donnie's crush on April is amusing, but now Casey is in on the game so we'll see what happens.

I like both but I have to say that 2k3 was the pinnacle overall.

Both were better than the original, which was funny but hasn't aged as good.

I think 2k3 is the pinnacle because the creator played a part in the story and design. It's based off of the comic book, and kept much of the same feel though not quite as dark. It had magnificent story arcs and character development with good fight scenes and they had many characters introduced that were long forgotten or were unknown to many turtle viewers. It's the closet adaptation to the comic we're likely to get.

I think the new version is easier for the average person to watch and it's more "youth friendly", but it is very good. They are taking a lot of it in a different direction which some may not care as they aren't that familiar with it and some will. Either way it is very good.

Yea, that was waaaaaaaaay out of left field for me. One of the biggest wtf moments I've seen in a very long time. I didn't mind her having powers too much (it was a bit different) but the last part kind of pushed it for me and I'm very open minded.

It's always cool watching Splinter go at it. I'd have to disagree on this one. I think this canon is the second strongest (character wise), after the 2003 version.

The 2003 version turtles were older and fought some highly enhanced enemies. They had the elite ninja, Karai was much stronger, Shredder had his super armor, they had the Sword of Tengu, Bishop, the Triceratons, etc.

They all in all fought much more powerful threats and had to be tougher to keep the pace up and fight them.

One thing's for sure, they're stronger than the 1987 versions. Lol.

Leatherhead is a big brute in this universe. 2k3 Splinter fought against super armor Shredder, the Triceratons, and Hun. Large enemies won't be a problem for him.

I do like the style of this Splinter though.

What I'm saying is that Splinter in 2k12 did it with such ease. I don't think 2K3 splinter could make it look that easy. Maybe, I'm wrong but that's the impression I get.

He took out Utrom Shredder pretty easily. I'd say his fights in 2003 were definitely higher caliber (a higher number of enemies and more dangerous). I don't think Leatherhead is more dangerous than the turtles (at least not the 2003 versions), they're younger and a bit more inexperienced in this show.

I'd have to say, Leatherhead in 2012 doesn't quite stack up to the threats in the 2003 series. Like Bishop for instance.

With the love interest stuff, people had speculated and wanted Leo and Karai and Don and April to be a couple a long time ago. They have to like something I suppose, lol.

Also, in regards to that Splinter discussion. I was watching the 2003 series over, and I forgot just how badass Splinter was.

He defeated Utrom Shredder in season 1.

He was the battle nexus champion, meaning he was the winner of a multiversal tournament, beating out Draco for it (a large dragon creature). He also beat a large 4 armed titan.



That episode shows it.

He's a beast, but I guess time will tell if 2k12 version becomes as beast like.
