Even pro players fear the extreme power of the SF4 game engine mixed with online.
That kind of crap is why I had to quit. Nothing more annoying than playing Evil Ryu and trying to do tight links and getting nailed out of them by mashed ultras. I feel like I'd just be better off playing "dumb" to be honest (mashing a lot, random jump ins, etc).
