What's gonna happen to the dollar? Well let me ask you this:. Why do you think gold is valued worldwide and has been for a long time?

Well let me ask you this:. Why do you think gold is valued worldwide and has been for a long time? Fixed value? Well somewhat. Fiat currency always fails because the government will simply steal from the public via inflation to fund their programs. Through time societies have used various things for money like salt. Gold works because of the scarcity and inherent value, plus some other features. It doesn't rust. It can be made into different shapes. It has industrial use, though this is limited because other metals like silver do the job for cheaper. It looks nice as well, so there is the jewelry aspect of it. People value gold in the modern time because it protects their wealth from government theft via inflation. Our economy is collapsing so people with wealth are looking to preserve it. That's why people are buying it.
