Scorpion is another character. He's not so much godly, but annoying. Can really mess noobs up with his random teleports and D,D,4. Especially, in injustice.

They nerfed him quite a bit in Injustice. That said people can sometimes hate newb killer characters more than legitimate top tiers.

Deathstroke is the noob killer in injustice. If you don't know how to get around zoning.

And, scorpion as well. People just don't like learning the game, they keep screaming for patches which hurt the game in the long run. Since whenever a game is patched, you have to start over from scratch with the analysis on the metagame.

Yea, you want some patches if necessary but you don't want to go overboard with them. I think NR does them a bit too often at times.

Games always get worse when they make it more casual. I'm playing Borderlands 2 now and I enjoy it in some ways but I find the first to be a lot better because they didn't dumb it down.

People like dumb games. I remember how good ninja gaiden black was then in part 2 they added OT and made the game more offensive play oriented rather than defensive play oriented. Just to appeal to the God of War Audience or whatever. It was a disaster.

Yea, in BL 2, they catered to the MMORPG audience, the scaling is ridiculous with a lot of silly mechanics and braindead farming, which really removed what made the first game great.

It's worst than GOW because unlike GOW Ninja Gaiden wasn't a casual series from the get go. That's what makes this decline so painful. This game is a walking joke, basically every generic trope that's hurting modern video games: Grimdark anti-hero, Zombies, excessive swearing, gorn, etc.

Well it's bad for that too. It would be like Dark Souls or Battletoads becoming dumbed down. It's all the cliche "badass", swearing, and gorn you see nowadays. It's just there for the sake of it.

There's also a difference between smart difficulty and dumb difficulty. Games in the past often had cheap design, but nowadays it's really bad. Games either hold your hand, or if they do a "hard mode" it's just lazy, cheap design with hard to see one hit deaths. Just garbage.

Yeah, I hate artificial difficulty. Like games where higher difficulty just means enemies just hit harder and have more health. Hack n' slash games are dead outside of Bayonetta and anything made by platnium games. So, dumbed down.

Games nowadays are all about story. That's why games like last of us is so critically acclaimed for example.

God tell me about it. I hate fake and lazy difficulty. Random crap, undodgeable attacks, cheap instant death attacks, lazy methods such as just cranking health and damage. Borderlands 2 is terrible about this, with enemies often killing you in 2 hits at your level, while you have to shoot them all day unless you use the "uber" weapons. Just lazy and cheap design that destroys playstyles.


It seems like damn near every sequel is worse than their predecessor. Gaming is becoming ruined in this regard.
