"Yes, you definitely read that headline correctly. The fighting game community loves them some WWE, and we were recently sent some truly awesome concept art for a wrestling fighting game that was eventually scrapped.
WWE Brawl, originally set for a 2011 release, was being developed by THQ and was meant to incorporate Street Fighter-like mechanics into a 3D setting. The graphics style was splashed with a heavy cartoon-ish theme that just looked awesome, and luckily we get to see some of our favorite WWE superstars re-imagined in this recently unveiled artwork from Rich Lyons.
Below you can check out a handful of pieces from the since cancelled WWE Brawl that feature a mechanized Vince McMahon, battle armor-clad Big Show, The Million Dollar Man, Hulk Hogan, and more. Hit the jump to see more.
