Earlier today, Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono hinted that a Brazilian character would be revealed soon for Street Fighter V. This could be Blanka, Sean, or a new character entirely, but we’ve got a different piece of news to share.
Sources have confirmed to Siliconera that Alex and Urien from Street Fighter III will be playable characters in Street Fighter V as well. Look out for the two to be announced at some point in the future.
Street Fighter V is in development for PC and PlayStation 4.
Update: Siliconera asked a Capcom spokesperson to confirm our report and we received a reply saying, “Capcom does not comment on rumors or speculation.”
Note: Alex artwork from Street Fighter III.

Earlier, Siliconera reported that Alex and Urien from Street Fighter III would be part of the playable roster in Street Fighter V. Now, we can confirm two more characters: Karin Kanzuki and R. Mika from the Alpha series.
Karin made her first appearance in a Street Fighter spin-off manga starring Sakura. She made her playable debut in Street Fighter Alpha 3, and was then included in Capcom Fighting Evolution as well.
Meanwhile, R. Mika, too, made her first appearance in Street Fighter Alpha 3. She hasn’t been featured in any of Capcom’s fighters following that game.
Look out for Karin and Mika to be revealed for Street Fighter V at some point in the future.

We'll have to see. They might be rumors.
If they put R. Mika, the only SF girl with a big ass in the game, that would be interesting. I'd be interested to see how they spice her and Karin up. Especially since Karin looked so conservative.

You don't consider Cammy and Chun-li to be big? Cammy used to in SF2. It's nice now but not "big". Her hips are definitely wider though. Chun Li does in some games, but SF4 gave them all flat butts, haven't paid attention to it much now. Her thighs just look silly to me now. Much better in Cv2's sprite.

Ah, I see what you mean in that SF2 is definitely the biggest. Only SF5 comes close again, SF4 is the smallest.

SF5 is solid but they need to work on the face.
With the butt mod SF4 and SFxT Cammy has a big ass, there's also a mod o slim Chun's thighs lol.

Is 3 frames too much leniency or is it better? www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jul/12/tightest-links-street-fighter-5-will-be-three-frames-vesper-fills-us-everything-we-need-know-sf5-beta/We're about a week and a half away from the Street Fighter 5 online beta, and Vesper Arcade has prepared a video laying out just about everything we'll need to know going in.
Vesper breaks down SF5 into bite-size pieces so you can easily tackle individual concepts as you prepare for your online rampage. For instance, there is a two frame leniency window for all the combos in the game, meaning much easier combos than in Street Fighter 4.
We also learn the ins and outs of V-Triggers, V-Skills, wake up game, Crush Counter and plenty more. If you're looking to get into fighting shape for the upcoming beta, look no further than this video.

16 Characters at Launch, with 4 new characters. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jul/18/street-fighter-5-will-have-16-fighters-launch-four-them-brand-new-capcom-will-continually-add-characters-post-launch/During the EVO 2015 Street Fighter 5 panel today, Capcom opened up the gates and let loose a tremendous amount of information pertaining to the game's future. We here at EventHubs got the chance to discuss this new information with the company, and in turn acquired details on Street Fighter 5's roster size, their goal of making Street Fighter into a growing platform, and much more.
Capcom got started by explaining their new content strategy for Street Fighter 5, and how it differs from previous iterations of the franchise.
"We're positioning Street Fighter 5 as more of a service," Capcom's Director of Brand Marketing & eSports, Matt Dahlgren, told us. "We're moving away from having a disc-based model, such as compilations like Super Street Fighter 4 or Ultra Street Fighter 4, and focusing on Street Fighter as a platform itself, which is going to grow over time."
"Our goal is to have a constantly evolving Street Fighter world that delivers fun for all different player types."
Capcom reiterated that the initial Street Fighter 5 disc will be the only one you'll ever need to own. Then they announced something that is sure to please most Street Fighter fans out there.
"Moving forward, all balance and system adjustments will be made available for free to players. All post launch gameplay related content can now be earned by playing the game," Dahlgren stated. In previous iterations of Street Fighter, you had to buy a new version of the game in order to access additional characters, balance adjustments and gameplay tweaks. Capcom is handling things differently with Street Fighter 5.
"This time around, if you're dedicated and you play the game continuously, you will be able to earn that content for free," Dahlgren continued.
We asked Capcom if they had estimates on what kind of time players would have to invest to access the content in the game, but that's still being decided.
"We're optimizing that, and figuring out the correct time frame, but that's part of the reason why we're doing these beta tests," said Dahlgren.
16 playable characters at launch, four will be brand new, future plans for additional fighters
Capcom also gave us the lowdown on the game's launch roster size. Street Fighter 5 will have 16 playable characters to start, four of which will be brand new.
"We feel that's a good balance for a very diverse roster, but not being too overwhelming for new players to hop into the game," Dahlgren expressed.
Capcom will continually add additional characters, making this the first iteration in the franchise where it’s possible for dedicated players to continue to expand on their gameplay experience without the need to purchase further titles in the series.
A shift in approach
Capcom explained why they decided to make Street Fighter 5 into a platform rather than compilation discs.
"Looking back on Street Fighter 4, these compilation discs revived interest in the series for a limited amount of time," Dahlgren said. "However, for a general audience, waiting a year for new content was too long, so that made it very difficult to sustain people's interest.
"Additionally, that old strategy punished players who took a break from playing the game. For instance, if they stopped playing during Street Fighter 4, and they wanted to come back and play a little more during the Super Street Fighter 4 era, they would have been forced to purchase an upgrade to play in the largest player pool.
"Essentially, what we did over time with Street Fighter 4 is made our player pool smaller and smaller by eliminating people who didn't purchase the upgrades. That old method forced players to purchase all of the new content, even if only a few characters were really appealing to them.
"Looking forward, our new strategy is more consumer friendly. This also creates additional long-term engagement with the game, because the more you play it, the more you're rewarded. We're always adding to the player base this time around — we're never shrinking it by requiring a paid update. Players can leave at any time and come back at any time, and play on the latest balance adjustments with the largest player base," stated Dahlgren.
By releasing new characters regularly, it ensures there is always new content players can look forward to in the short term, said Capcom.
"That allows the competitive environment to never be stale, so there are always new strategies and tactics that are evolving," he said.
Pricing not available yet, two types of in-game currency
At this time, Capcom is still working on the pricing model for future content, so a price breakdown isn't available just yet. What we do know is that there will be in-game currency that will be separated into two different types: Fight Money and Zenny.
"Fight Money can only be obtained by playing the game, and that's what you use to earn the gameplay related content," Dahlgren explained.
If you're looking to speed up the process, however, you can access content immediately by purchasing Zenny with real money and using it to buy characters, and other content up front.

I have no idea, but the reason they're doing add ons the way they're doing it is to keep people from having to buy extra discs. The only way to be sure is to do the math in the long run, but you do get in game currency to unlock stuff which is neat.

www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jul/20/necalli-has-dive-kick-command-throw-he-can-combo-after-using-meter-and-much-more-lets-talk-about-sf5s-first-brand-new-character/Here is a rundown of his tools: Just before the Ultra Street Fighter 4 top 8 at EVO 2015 kicked off, Capcom unveiled a new Street Fighter 5 trailer showing off the game's first brand new character, Necalli.
So far, we know that Necalli has a savage play-style that involves slash attacks, a command throw, and more. We also know that his V-Skill is a ground pound attack, and his V-Trigger gives him new frame data and a new critical art.
We here at EventHubs took a closer look at Necalli's trailer to see if we could uncover any more details about the fearsome new fighter. This is what we found...
Slash attack
Necalli has a grounded claw swipe attack that we get to see twice in the trailer. The first time, we see what looks to be the light version of the attack, traveling a short distance and putting a quick hurt on Ryu. Later, we see it used in combo, but this time Necalli moves forward quite a bit before attacking, making us believe that this is most likely the heavy version of the special move.
Considering that this can be used in combo, this is looking to be a strong tool for moving the opponent into the corner where Necalli can pressure with his seemingly strong normals and command throw.
Seismo
We know that Necalli's V-Skill causes him to smash his hands into the ground firing off a blast of seismic energy at different distances (very much like C. Viper in Ultra Street Fighter 4). This technique gives the savage fighter the ability to control space on screen, pressure the opponent, and attack from a distance.
The trailer, however, shows that it serves another function as well: combo ender. In the GIF below, we see Necalli combo into his V-Skill after what looks like a medium kick - heavy kick target combo.
Dive kick
Necalli's arsenal of tools expands further with a dive kick. The footage shows him fire down from a jump with a quick kick attack.
Upon successfully landing the kick, Necalli continues with a full combo. If I had to guess, I'd say the sequence that follows is standing medium punch into crouching heavy kick. If this is so, Necalli has a quick, more than likely damaging way of comboing into sweep.
"I threw him on the ground!"
Slashes and dive kicks aren't all that Necalli can do. The new warrior also has a command throw.
With it, Necalli takes the opponent up into the air and slams them down into the ground (similar to T. Hawk's SPD without the repeated spin). The EX version causes a wall bounce and allows for a follow up attack.
Anti-air slash, V-Reversal, and critical art
Necalli has yet another slash attack in his move-set, however, this one moves diagonally up forward. In the trailer, we see an EX version of the grounded horizontal slash and the anti-air version, which makes us believe that these are two separate special moves.
The anti-air slash (what we're referring to it as) is shown being used mainly as a combo ender, but with its trajectory and speed, it looks to be a great way of stopping your opponent's jump ins.
We also see what looks like both his regular forward throw and back throw. Forward throw slams the opponent down, then kicks them across the screen, while back throw punches the opponent in the stomach firt, then throws them over Necalli's head to the other side of him.
Additionally, his V-Reversal is featured, and we can confirm that it is a physical attack that blows the opponent back (unlike say, Charlie who teleports away with his V-Reversal).
Necalli's critical art sees him leap toward the opponent, slam them into the ground, and run them to the wall where he unleashes a flurry of attacks.
If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say it looks like Necalli's super is a grab and not a physical attack. We see that when he initially lunges toward the opponent, there is no physical strike indication. This could be a result of the video's editing, but we may be looking at the first grab super in Street Fighter 5.
While in V-Trigger, Necalli's critical art changes quite a bit. His attacks become powered by a mysterious, dark energy, and though we don't know for sure, this souped up version might do more damage.
While in V-Trigger
When in V-Trigger, Necalli gets access to new combos, new frame data, and a different critical art (as mentioned above). The trailer shows a combo that appears to be cr. LP, st. LP, cr. MP xx EX slash attack. Since this was highlighted only once Necalli activated V-Trigger, chances are this link is a result of the different frame data he gains while in this mode.
We also see a foot stomp special move that, when in V-Trigger can be used to extend combos. There's a version of Foot Stomp (most likely heavy) that launches the opponent up into the air and allows for combo extension. What's shown looks like: st. heavy punch xx foot stomp (possibly light or medium), crouching medium punch xx EX foot stomp.
Another example combo shown looks like: standing heavy punch xx heavy kick (?) foot stomp, EX up slash.
So what do you think of Necalli in Street Fighter 5? Let us know in the comments below!
