I hope it's not Blanka either. I feel like Alex was cut and Zangief was a last minute thing. Here's hoping it's urien.

This game has more of a story emphasis and I don't see the need since the followers already know the leak list for a good number of characters.

Maybe Capom didn't want a story leak. It's still hard to pin when this game will take place.

Maybe Capom didn't want a story leak. It's still hard to pin when this game will take place. I don't see how changing a character that hadn't been hinted yet would leak the story. It takes a lot of time and resources to make a character. It's not something they can just do out of nowhere like that. If Alex isn't in it's because they probably want 3s characters in later. I can't see Urien as the only 3s character either. I'd figure he'd have a tie to another 3s character at least. Who knows though?

Two months before last newcomer is revealed? shoryuken.com/2015/10/12/capcom-likely-to-reveal-last-street-fighter-v-newcomer-within-next-two-months/With all the brouhaha surrounding the reveal of Street Fighter V newcomer Laura Matsuda and Yoshinori Ono’s comments on Alex’s future in the upcoming title, some information was bound to fall through the cracks. One such detail concerned when we should expect to learn the identities of Street Fighter V’s remaining two cast members.
During his presentation at Brazil Game Show, Ono laid out a rough timeline for their future announcements, saying through a translator that the fourth new character will be introduced sometime over the next two months. Looking ahead, Capcom Cup falls well within that window, and as of now that’s the best guess we have to work with.
In addition to the final newcomer, Ono also mentioned that they still have to reveal another returning fighter, but didn’t provide any hints as to when we should expect their unveiling.
Street Fighter V is scheduled to launch for PlayStation 4 and PC sometime next spring.

The beta is available now. Shame that Steam controls the Pc beta time. Get on if you can! www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/oct/14/street-fighter-5-beta-2-live-ahead-schedule-some-players-new-features-include-dummy-record-training-other-stages-and-more/Updated: LiangHuBBB sent us a quick, day one montage of R. Mika in beta #2. We get to see a handful of combos and some funny/interesting moments.
Earlier: Street Fighter 5's second beta phase is set to go live on October 22nd. However, some lucky players have been able to access beta #2 over a week in advance.
Reports have come in this morning of players who managed to get time with the next beta. If past experience is any indication, this is a result of Capcom running small stress tests to ensure the stability of the phase when it officially goes live next week.
At the beta's start, four playable characters are available: Ken, Necalli, R. Mika, and Vega. So far, we've seen the latter three in action.
A number of new features have been added to this phase. Players can now record actions for the training dummy, practice on stages other than the training room, select titles, and even battle a CPU opponent while waiting for matches.
You can check out a few screenshots of the early beta #2.

Training mode update? The Street Fighter 5 beta is up for round two, and along with new characters, we're seeing new options and features with the game's interface. Though we haven't been able to get into the beta ourselves, a few users from /r/Street Fighter have, and have graciously noted their findings.
Seeing as the purpose of these test runs is to better the overall SF5 experience, we're not surprised to see some updated aspects in the game.
Training Mode has a handful of new options, such as better dummy manipulation, that will surely make for an easier and more fruitful learning experience. Capcom has also updated the points systems for online wins, and made the user interface a bit more friendly.
There's plenty to see, so hit the jump for the full list of updated features.
Second Beta Updates
• Customize your own SF5 name (different from your PSN handle)
• Set the training dummy to be controlled by the computer and adjust the difficulty
• Select a stage for Training Mode
• Set/record wake up options in Training Mode
• Set/record guard recovery options in Training Mode
• Replay function now easier to find due to updated interface
• Earn league points for wins in ranked matches
• "Shortcut Settings" in menu (you are currently unable to select this)
• Player points experience
• Increase in Fight Money awarded for winning (roughly 50 per win)
This is likely not an exhaustive list of changes for the most recent beta, and we'll keep you updated should more come along. In the meantime, be sure to check out our SF5 character database for move lists for all of the beta 2 fighters save for Karin and Rashid.

You know, while I would have loved to have at least one third strike character(Alexalexalex) in, I'm very surprised and pleased with the roster as it is now.
I mean, there's no way you could have told me months ago that Karin, Nash, R.Mika, and Birdie would be making a return to Street Fighter, and in the same game no less.
Honestly, what bugs me more is all these die hard 3S fanatics coming out the woodwork whining constantly about having no 3S characters in the initial roster. Like I get it, you love those characters and would kill to have them in, but you aren't a special snowflake. The alpha characters that are in now had fans loyally waiting their return for just as long as you.
You see all these guys whining about it,especially on SRK making up all these half assessment theories as to why there aren't any in the initial roster and it's just plain embarrassing to see. Can't handle some T n' A but they'll cream themselves over an angry brown skin guy in underwear

With the way DLC is handled it won't be long until we see SF3 characters in the roster anyways so I'm not worried about it. I've glanced at SRK occasionally, though I don't post there. People are like inspector Gadget over there with all of their theories they're pulling out of their ass. I wonder if most of these clowns have even played 3s. As I posted in the shoutbox one moron was saying 3s has the best characters unlike SF4 characters like "Hellelena" and Elena is a SF3 character! These guys are just posers and hype up 3s to sound smart. They make the real fans look bad. You're also right about these SJW types. Crying over every hot female and then they drool over Urien. Some clowns just make no sense.

That's the thing. I don't even think it's SJW pandering. I think it's just an easy excuse for people to whine about characters because they aren't who they wanted. "Too many blondes. Too much fan service. Pfft who used x in tournaments anyways?"
But they'll settle for characters like Twelve just because he's from 3s. Like come on. I main Twelve and I don't even want him back all that much.
How sheltered do you have to be to think Chun-Li's breasts are too big?

The true fans can admit the ups and downs of a game. When you have people saying they'd prefer Necro over R. Mika you know they're just being stupid. They're making their case look worse. Most of the very best SF3 characters were in SF4 outside of Urien and Alex. SF3 characters will be in the game so it's no problem and R. Mika and Karin weren't in SF for a very long time. The only time the breasts are too big is when they look goofy or outrageous. That's no the case anyways so keep it up.

I actually wouldn't mind Necro too much. He's certainly a better design than Twelve in my opinion. All he did was speak in binary for god's sake and turn into better characters with X-Copy. It didn't even make sense for him to be able to turn invisible because he was(At least I think he was) supposed to be a long ranged, zoning character.
Long story short, they're all just whiners. We literally just had Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Elena, Yun, Yang, and Hugo in SF4, roughly half of Third Strike's cast and the half that most people care about, not including Alex and Urien of course. No one has forgotten Third Strike, despite their constant and incessant complaints that they have.

I guess though I'd put in a bunch of characters over Necro, Remy, etc. Many characters are just redone versions of SF2 characters and they're not doing that again anyways. But yea, SF4 had a ton of SF3 characters so it's not an issue. What I want to do is get my hands on that PC beta. Can't wait to get in on that. I just find it funny that pseudo fans are making such a big deal out of it. That Deviljin poster seems very rational for instance, and you're rational.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Remy. Not only was he my gateway character into learning charge motion characters, he was also my gateway character into 3S in general. I know he's not popular though so I'm not really counting on him coming back like...ever. Sean, Alex, Urien, and maybe Oro deserve another shot for sure, but that's really about it. Gill is awesome too but he works best as a super powered boss character.
Sad thing about the FGC, at least online, is that a lot of people really aren't great at thinking or communicating well outside the context of a fighting game. I mean, how many people actually thought that it was Urien they were teasing before Necalli was revealed? Or better yet, it was E.Honda literally only because he also has face paint on. Like, really?
Hard to match in passion and raw energy but a lot of people just don't conduct themselves well at all, and this is just a small example of how with all the third strike moaning.

We all have our favorite characters, even if they're obscure. I mean I liked Evil Ryu back in the Alpha days, way back before the changes they made now. Many people complain about him, and then he became super popular once Daigo used him. I'm not sure which I hate more. The nonsense hating or the bandwagon riding, lol. I don't expect him to be in right away either. Like you I'm realistic. You'd get along great with Jack here. He's always talking about the state of the community and how bad it's gotten. Look at my post on the Internet Darwin Awards thread, people just say stupid nonsense. I've seen the trolling on these sites and it has gotten horrible. Which is why I have this site for people to come and escape the madness. It's smaller, but that's a good thing in this case.

Somewhere along the line I 've learn to take a liking towards gothic styled male characters. My favorite character to use in Garou is Freeman for crying out loud, and he's as gothic as someone can get, lol. I don't know.
I'd like to believe- well, probably more like hope- That idiotic posts like that are primarily a result from relative anonymity from being online. Technically, you're no one until you sign up, and once you sign up you can really become someone different. You got a lot of immature, cowardly people out in the world who wouldn't even dream of saying a fraction of the dumb stuff they say online out in public, resort to trolling online because, I don't know it's funny somehow?
You take a relatively large community like the FGC, add in a random number of trolls acting like they're normal people, and things get really difficult to dissect and pick apart. It's a problem that any community large enough to be noteworthy faces. I see it in League of Legends a lot, in Smite..any game with even the slightest hint of competition gets it. I got called a Faggot for pretty much no reason playing For Glory in Smash.
So yeah, I like to hold onto some hope and just accept that supporting a community through the internet brings in a lot of trash that needs to get filtered out.

Imagine playing games for entertainment, how silly! Somewhere along the line I 've learn to take a liking towards gothic styled male characters. So yeah, I like to hold onto some hope and just accept that supporting a community through the internet brings in a lot of trash that needs to get filtered out. Do you like Iori from Kof? We were having a discussion about this very topic here, at least to the extent of people being online and stupid: thacmaster.proboards.com/thread/2605/modern-men-losersthacmaster.proboards.com/thread/2111/given-debatesI think the issue is just that people become the worst of themselves in groups. As much as people bash those who like to be left alone, they don't usually cause problem. Crime and chaos is usually a social activity. All you have to do is look at things like crazy riots and even sports riots. Online you have people saying things they'd never say online, but in real life people can cause real harm and being in groups allows them to be stupid enough to do it. The Smash community is definitely really bad. They're as bad as the SF community. The smaller communities like the ones for games like Kof and Skullgirls are much better, largely because they're smaller. Heh.

Hell yeah. Yamazaki too. I think I just like unhinged people in general since I typically get along with them so well, lol.
It's a real complex issue. On one hand, you want the FGC to grow and expand, so that the good people out there may actually be able to make something of a living for themselves doing what they're most passionate about. On the other hand, expanding to that degree risks accepting in a LOT of toxic people who contribute nothing to anything and make their respective communities look bad.
Which is why it's funny that so many people don't consider smash a fighting game when there's pretty much very little difference from the worst 3s fanatic compared to a melee fiend.
We need more people who promote positivity and just having fun with fighting games like we should, which is why I'm still subbed to Maximillian and Cross Counter for Gootecks and Mike Ross to this day. I don't care that they aren't topping the placements in tournies. They bring in people with their energy and personality, and use that to make a living for themselves. Hell, Max being who he is got him on board the KI team, as a commentator in Yatagarasu, his dog Benny as a character in an indie fighter...and he gets a HUGE amount of hate from a lot of those same hardcore wannabes. There's too many people who are just good at fighting games and nothing else. No real personality to speak of, they're just all hitboxes, frame data, and fgc memes.
PS: This Supergirl background is haaawt.

PS: This Supergirl background is haaawt. Yamazaki was great. I hope if at all they put in in Kof XIV. Did you see the trailer they made? This always happens with stuff. From comics on down. We've discussed this many times. The more mainstream something gets the worse the fans get. Occasionally you'll have diehard fans of something not as popular which makes them feel elitist, but usually it's the big stuff. That said Melee had diehard fans when people didn't take Smash as seriously, and 3s has always had a small diehard base who greatly exaggerates it. These idiots don't realize they hurt their own scene. I like getting good at stuff, but I also like having a good time. I like a wide variety of things. You want to have growth and an intelligent community, but between the pseudo elitists and the scrubs who want to whine about everything, and the PC crowd it becomes a mess and people like me just go elsewhere and enjoy with quiet. I want to actually enjoy myself. You have these kids who think they're going to be "big" and make huge money off of this like it's the NBA. These clowns actually brag about winning $150 at a tournament. Then they bash people who don't want to drive 50 miles away to play a game. You have a lot of pro players who left SRK because you have a bunch of know-it-alls who suck at the game trying to tell them that they're wrong and not knowledgeable. Eventually they just get fed up. Thanks. I have about 30 backgrounds if you want to look through them. Things like DoA and SFgirls. Have fun. There's also a Samus one. That reminds me that Supergirl tv show is on next week.

The 3s bandawagon is embarrassing to be honest since I'm a huge 3s fan. I remember when 3s was bashed on like every second on SRK, now poseurs have attached themselves to it because it's "cool" now. Ironically, Alpha character like R.Mika and Karin were my most anticipated characters. So, now that they are in I can relax. Besides, the only 3s characters I really want in are: Alex, Oro, Gill, Urien and Q.

I guess they feel that saying they like 3s will give them instant cred or something. I wonder how SF4 will be viewed after SFV have been out for a few years. Will liking that game make you "hardcore" too? It's like the 3s fans just ignore all reality and just make the game out to be something it's not. Ridiculous.

Saying you like X game for cred is the oldest trick in the book. The problem I ultimately have with the "community" is it's not a vehicle for an individual to enhance his appreciation of whatever topic. In theory, I would go to SRK or Eventscrubs and get authentic information about a games: Metagame, Production history, Story and so on. But, in reality it can't get off the ground because the community is just a vehicle for some fags feelings. It's there to make him feel good about himself by spouting stuff to seem knowledgeable. Nothing get's done on SRK: Gameplay discussions devolve into tier arguments and nonesense theory fighter because people can't stop being emotional like females.
Hell, even the story FAQ on SRk turned out to be shit because the people who were involved in it lied and made shit up and the whole thing had to be scrapped. Now they can't even make a new one because the creator of the old one who lied doesn't want to give up the rights or some shit. I followed that faq since 2002-2003. Why would someone lie for that long feeding bad info just to stroke his ego is beyond me. It's also annoying as hell because it means the community is worthless outside of news reports which is what I use Eventscrubs for.

Yea the whole place has devolved into pseudo elitists who think they're too good for Eventhubs and Gamefaqs, when they're just as bad minus the small percentage of exceptions. Nothing is organized. I go to look at a movelist for a character and it's a bunch of loose information over 50 pages with lots bickering. People lying and SJW garbage is there (when it used to be the opposite with the SJW's). The Kof, Persona, Skullgirls, and other sites aren't like that. You can find all of the information you need, people are helpful, and you don't have the stupid bickering. It's just a joke. I only jump on Eventhubs to get news and that's it. Not arguing on that trash pit either. Wayyy too many dummies and fanboys like Noizychild there.

With you on the getting news and just leaving thing. I don't even do that for SRk, that's how bad it is. I might just start playing something else besides Capcom games because the community is that cancerous. Soul Calibur or Virtua fighter maybe. With Capcom I can just follow the Japanese scene which is what I've done for a while. Waaaaay too many shitposters these days, especially post 09.
