Now the voices have been revealed, audio files are in the link.: shoryuken.com/2015/11/03/street-fighter-v-audio-files-reveal-post-launch-characters-posstible-capcom-pro-tour-events/While we know that Capcom plans for the Capcom Pro Tour to be a big part of Street Fighter V, going as far as stating that the tour was built with the game in mind, what exactly this entails is still a mystery.
That said, we may now have our first clue as to what Capcom is planning thanks to those intrepid dataminers. A user of our forums named AceKombat discovered some interesting sound sound files that include the names of Capcom Pro Tour events as well as their host country. As you’ll notice in the playlist above, the tournament names are supplemented with generic audio for premier, ranking, and online events, making it likely that Capcom will keep the same format next year. Other placeholders, like the Japan premier event, and carry overs from this year’s tour, such as Thailand being the host for South East Asia Major, are also present.
While we don’t know exactly how these will be used, they do indicate that the game itself will somehow acknowledge when a Capcom Pro Tour event is taking place, and may even be usable at the tournaments themselves to distinguish them during live broadcasts. At the very least, this should help create more exposure for the tour and its various events
Moving on, the excavated Street Fighter V data also features audio files for character names and online rankings. The former further cement the theory that Alex, Guile, Ibuki, Balrog, Juri, and Urien will act as the six post-launch characters previously announced by Capcom. Perhaps more tantalizing is the name “Fan,” a reference to which was previously found in the game’s code, hinting that this may be the identity of the last–and as of yet unrevealed–launch character.

No plans for Street Fighter Ex (Akira) Characters to make an appearance. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/nov/04/street-fighter-ex-characters-could-appear-future-capcom-games-according-company-currently-owns-them/Updated at 11:17 a.m.: It looks like the previous tweets used in this story were mistranslated. Arika vice president Ichiro Mihara has since deleted the original tweets and posted more to clear up the misunderstanding. "Since people overseas are freely translating my tweet, I removed it."
He went on to say that Arika characters will not be appearing in Street Fighter. "There are no plans for Arika characters to appear in Street Fighter," Mihara clarified. "If I don't write it this clearly, people are going to keep asking Capcom, it seems." New translations were made in-house here at EventHubs. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Earlier: Capcom is no stranger to character requests; from Alex to Geki, fans have asked for everyone under the sun to make a return in the latest Street Fighter games.
Though the Street Fighter EX series wasn't as popular as mainstream titles such as Street Fighter 3 Third Strike and Street Fighter 4, the game's original characters are asked for by fans more than you'd think. Unfortunately, Capcom hasn't been able to make their return a reality due to the rights actually belonging to a company called Arika -- the company that led the development of the 3D Street Fighter titles.
Arika vice president Ichiro Mihara took to Twitter recently to give fans a bit of insight on where things currently stand.
“Regarding Street Fighter EX, as long as we are not discussing Capcom characters (e.g. Ryu), we have the rights to our characters,” Mihara explained. “Specially interesting is that we arranged to have the priority in 3D fighting game development with Capcom after Street Fighter EX […] but it seems [the contract] wasn’t valid at the time of Street Fighter IV’s development.” Though Capcom went a different route for Street Fighter 4 than what was planned with Arika, Mihara feels that the series producer, Yoshinori Ono, did an excellent job with the title. "I feel that game is the direct result of Ono’s effort and passion,” he said.
But EX characters could once again see the light of day, based on Mihara's final tweet on the matter.
“I guess I can put it as, possibility-wise, there is a possibility of Street Fighter EX characters making guest appearances in Capcom games, so if there’s a future in that area, look forward to that,” Mihara went on. “We plan to continue to take on the challenge of creating games in a variety of fields, so I might not be able to give a very clear point of view on copyrights, but [Arika president Akira Nishitani] is aiming for user-friendly titles, so we hope you continue to enjoy our games. I’ll fight with the lawyers (laughs).”
Capcom's director of brand marketing and eSports, Matt Dahlgren, said in an interview last month that we'll be seeing characters from "all of the different iterations" of Street Fighter in their upcoming title. Though Mihara feels that Street Fighter and Street Fighter EX are separate series, they are still technically from the same franchise.
We hope this means that EX will get representation in Street Fighter 5 down the road.

Is Akuma back?! If so the 14 year olds will rejoice. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/nov/04/ono-hinting-akuma-street-fighter-5/We're really trying not to get ahead of ourselves, but a post from Street Fighter 5's Executive Producer, Yoshinori Ono, has our full attention with his recent Twitter post.
Captioned only with "at Capcom USA office!" Ono has arranged a picture of the Street Fighter 5 Ryu logo, propped up against the Akuma statue from Hollywood Collectibles.Hit the jump to see why we're seriously entertaining the idea of Akuma in SF5. In light of the recent SF5 leaks, it would make sense for Capcom to signify to the community that they still have a few tricks up their sleeves.
Many would be astounded not to see Akuma in SF5, as he has become a staple in the series. Since his appearance in Street Fighter 2, Akuma has been in every Street Fighter game, as well as most other fighters featuring characters from the SF cast.
As one of the franchise's most iconic characters, Akuma is a major focus in second hand Street Fighter content, such as comics, figurines and media. From a business standpoint, it would likely be a huge oversight not to include the demonic fighter in SF5.
At this point, some would go as far to state that Street Fighter isn't quite Street Fighter without this character. Ryu, Ken and Chun-Li are the other three characters that've been featured across the board of SF fighting games, sans SF1, and are all in the initial line up of SF5.
What do you think of Ono's tweet? Can you think of another reason why he'd post something like this? Would SF5 be missing a key element if Capcom chooses not to include Akuma? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Obligatory "Metsu" right here. Personally, I think this should have waited until shortly after the official release date. There are other characters that need to be put on showcase.

I'd actually imagine Athena being way more popular then Mai overall. Mai was missing in only 12 I think?

Nah, Mai would probably be the most recognizable character. If you took people on the street who never played the games they would recognize her the most due to her being in the most non related media. I see Mai on websites, cosplay and everything else. Everyone who knows Athena is going to know Terry, Mai, Kyo, and Iori. Mai wasn't in 12 because of the budget issues, along with K' if I remember correctly. Popularity on a website full of fans doesn't really mean much. Anyways, Karin has some new tech. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/nov/04/karin-can-perform-her-ex-command-dash-without-using-meter-we-cant-tell-if-its-glitch-or-intentional/We'd normally chalk this type of thing up to being a glitch, and it very well could be, but we have some reason to believe that Capcom intentionally made Karin's EX Tenko free to use under certain circumstances.
In the second beta build, Karin became accessible to the public, and after hours of delving into the character, pH|LPN discovered that doing the Just frame version of EX Tenko doesn't cost Karin any meter.
This doesn't work if Karin is cancelling from a normal, so it almost looks as though this was an intentional reward Capcom placed in the game for correctly performing the Just frame. That could be wrong, and if so, we'll surely see this removed in future builds.
Hit the jump to see the video, which breaks down the tech, and shows a few practical applications for it.

I know Athena was the most popular in Japan at some point though. She did have her own game at some point too and I'm not talking about Psycho Soldiers. This is clearly a glitch.... There is no just frame moves!!! Its like saying duo lon has a just frame rekka since you need to time it..

Yea but those sites are based on die hard fans and not the general populace. Athena was an icon decades ago though until Terry took over.
Yea, the tech doesn't look intended at all.

Street Fighter V Beta Tutorial. shoryuken.com/2015/11/04/classic-ken-makes-an-appearance-in-street-fighter-vs-story-mode/UPDATE – Apparently, this story/tutorial mode was opened up in the Street Fighter V beta with a recent update, and is currently playable on PlayStation 4.
With all the exploration folks have been doing through Street Fighter V’s inner workings, it was only a matter of time before a diligent fan pieced together enough content to provide a full look at parts of the game that have yet to see the light of day. Such is the case with this new video from Mubariz, which demonstrates an early portion of the story mode.
In the clip below, Ryu and Ken can be seen training with their master Gouken, both sporting old-school designs instead of their updated Street Fighter V aesthetics. There isn’t much here in terms of the overall narrative, but it does show that the game will do what it can to teach gameplay concepts like movement, offense, and defense with a bit of intermediate knowledge sprinkled in for good measure.

More voices, one of "Fan", the possible new character. Files are in link: shoryuken.com/2015/11/04/newcomer-fans-voice-possibly-discovered-in-street-fighter-v-audio-files/Some time back, we reported that voice files were found in the Street Fighter V beta that hinted at the full roster and possible Capcom Pro Tour locations. While these were merely an announcer’s voice, new audio has been sent our way that may further unveil another newcomer
One generous benefactor, who wishes to remain anonymous, has shared with us a number of audio clips that were discovered in Street Fighter V after a recent update. Among these voices is one spoken by a character that identifies himself as “the great Fan,” or “Fan-sama” in Japanese.
This lines up with previous findings that mentioned a character with the same name both in the code and the aforementioned announcer audio. We’re hesitant to say this is concrete proof, but the hints are certainly starting to stack up.
The other files feature Cammy and Birdie in what may be back-and-forth dialogue with Fan from the story mode, giving us a small indication of what they will be up to in Street Fighter V. With that in mind, please note that this audio may contain spoilers, so listen at your own risk.

Street Fighter is bringing sexy back. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/nov/05/street-fighter-5s-jiggling-breasts-and-large-amounts-cleavage-andor-buttocks-secure-t-rating-esrb/Okay, I realize that its suggestive themes alone didn't net the T rating, but the "cleavage and/or buttocks" part was too funny not to highlight. I mean, how often do you read that in an official game rating?
But down to brass tacks. Earlier this morning, we learned that the ESRB has given Capcom's highly anticipated title, Street Fighter 5, an official rating.
Though there was speculation of the new fighter being rated M back in June, Capcom assured EventHubs at E3 that the game would eventually see a T rating. Now, it looks like the rating has been finalized.
The ESRB lists Street Fighter 5's content descriptors as mild language, suggestive themes, and violence, all things we'd expect in a Street Fighter title. Each game in the franchise has been labeled with a T rating as far back as we can remember, so it's no surprise to see the latest get the same stamp.
You can read Street Fighter 5's official rating summary from the ESRB after the jump. This is a fighting game in which players engage in one-on-one combat with a large cast of human characters. Players mostly punch, kick, and use special attacks (e.g., fireballs, flying attacks, electrical strikes) to deplete opponents' life meters. Some characters use weapons such as claws and chains; some special moves are depicted in brief cutscenes with slow-motion, dramatic close-ups and opponent reaction shots.
Combat is highlighted by cries of pain and frequent impact sounds. Several female characters are depicted in low-cut, form-fitting outfits that display large amounts of cleavage and/or buttocks. Female characters' breasts sometimes jiggle during character selection. The words “a*s” and “bastard” appear in the dialogue. Street Fighter 5 will hit PC and PlayStation 4 on February 16th, 2016.

Most people have only played a brief time against online players. We'll have to get our hands on it to see how good the characters are. Otherwise you just get the "sky is falling" treatment.
