My suggestion is just to wait until release, who knows what will happen then. If I don't like the way it's turning out overall, I'm with you. Video games eat up a lot of time and I'll find something else to do with it.

I think they censored it in order to get their rating lowered to T because it had had an M rating before.

I'm not fully buying it because the M rating was a placeholder rating that had "blood and gore" on it. That was months ago and Mika wasn't in the game.

Also how did a butt slap get an M rating when it's in cartoons? Look at Poison's attacks? Her stuff is far more suggestive.



If it was caused by a butt slap it's absurd and shows why I hate these rating systems because they exist just to censor.

I figured was something to do with the ERSB because they didn't go the MK route and make everything ugly. Just changing camera angles and what not.

I don't even get why they care about an M rating anyway? If this game had blood and gore before, why change it? It can't be sales since the best selling Fighter in North America is MKX. Capcom needs to get a clue.

Well SF caters to a different audience than MKX. If MKX removed all of its blood and gore they would go out of business. SF caters to a different audience. No different than Game of Thrones caters to a different audience than Dora the Explorer.

That said there's been plenty of this in other Capcom fighters, why change it now.

I don't think the addition of boobs or gore would change audience though. I mean if we focus on the tan it's not say DOA level. So, it's weird that it would get an M rating like DOA has [assuming it's because of the TnA it got that rating.]

I don't think DoA should get an M rating (look at Soul Calibur). SF won't do a crossover with MK because of the violence. It would change the audience some. Not saying it would bomb, but there would be a difference. SF and MK are different types of games altogether.

Boobs were always there and I wouldn't mind the blood spurts the old SF games had. Not Mk levels but the old levels.

Eh... Unnecessary character bergs (even though on a beta) and censorship. Not a good combination. Might be getting a refund soon. KOF98UMFE is more than enough to keep me entertertained on both an aesthetic and a competitive basis.

My favorite series is Virtua Fighter and it has no real fanservice so it's all on the principle to me.

Honestly on PC mods can fix this and do much more, but I don't like the principle. The usual retards are going on with the usual strawmen and red herrings. "Go watch porn!",etc.

Sf. I wonder if these camera edits will be in all versions? I remember in the North American version of Street Fighter 3. Akuma had green blood in his defeat art. The Japanese port kept the red blood.

Yea, but that was a billion years ago. SF4 didn't have those differences at all IIRC.

I mean, perhaps you're right and it is localized, but I haven't heard anything about that. We'll see.
