I like the animation and motions of the moves You can tell they took their time with them. So, many animations this time around. but I don't like that revenge moves can be normal canceled. Why not have supers. Seems like comebacks would be too easy off of that. Good point, I didn't think about it that way. I hope it isn't as easy as low forward into huge damage when you're losing. I don't know why we can't have multiple supers? Are we that scared of having people play well?

That's fine as long as the reward justifies the use. I was just laughing because you seem to love and and then hate it. I understand Capcom has been shitty lately though.

You like and dislike Charlie? What about the revenge mechanics?

No, I like charlie alot and I'm excited to see where the story is taking him. I'm just scared that they'll flood the game with returning characters like SF4. That's why I put him on both list. That was my biggest complaint about the original SF4.

That was my biggest complaint about the original SF4. You're going to be in the minority on that one. People want new characters of course, but Capcom wants to sell copies so they put in lots of characters to try to keep everyone happy. I'm not sure what they're going to do this time around, but I'd be surprised if 50% of the cast were new.

I wish 50% of the cast were new tbh. I miss the recastings with every numbered street fighter. Well see what they do.
What's your wish list?

Yeah, that's what I mean. The SF2 rooster was deliberate. I'm not sure if they're gonna pull the same thing here.

"Not immediately" Knowing Crapcom, we'll have to wait till SF5 redux.

Or Ultra Alpha Omega Beta Gamma Delta Zeta Street Fighter 5. With on disk DLC . Either that or they charge you for download. People went crazy over that. Companies pretty much have DLC planned in advance anyways. Tip to Capcom, make DLC's downloadable in the future lol. Less hassle that way, lol.

SF5 is too slow, according to Daigo. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jan/02/daigo-street-fighter-5s-pace-currently-too-slow-feels-fighting-games-should-limit-number-possible-blocks-techs-and-reduce-time-limit/"Beast Note -- a Daigo Umehara fan website that tracks and covers events Umehara attends -- has posted the gist of The Beast's initial reactions to SF5 at Niconico's recent "Challenge Umehara" event.
His main point: The game is too slow! People find enjoyment in pushing buttons and getting rewarded for doing so. While defense is necessary, it's not what most people look forward to doing when they sit down to play.
It appears as though, in the current build, SF5 features a lot of sitting in block stun. Much of a player's time is spent waiting for their opponent to finish out their long, offensive sequences.
'As a result, a game is less fun if it promotes defensive play style–because they are given less time to push buttons.' Daigo did not simply state that the game was too slow and then walk away without a potential solution however. Hit the jump to see what he proposed... 'He suggested that a fighting game should promote play-making, for example, by limiting how many times you can block (10 times) or escape a throw (5 times) and reducing timer from 99 seconds to 40-50 seconds per round.'
These are pretty drastic changes to what we've recently become accustomed to in the Street Fighter realm. With regards to SF4, many times we've heard 'now they just have to do nothing' or 'if they just down back for the rest of the round they'll win.'
'Umehara feels that the game's pace is too slow, as there was nothing else to do during the long block stun. He suggested that players should be able to perform something, not just waiting for the sequence to finish. He understands that it is still in development, but warned that Capcom definitely does not want to launch the game without some tweaks.'
Daigo is obviously a credible source when it comes to fighting games, but still we want to know what you think! Do you agree that SF5 should be faster-paced and heavily favor the aggressor?"

The more I see the scarier it becomes, let's remove dashing so a slow game becomes even slower... yikes. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jan/15/street-fighter-5-entire-evil-geniuses-fighting-team-wants-guard-crush-return-one-player-feels-capcom-should-eliminate-dashing/?page=1"Since the initial announcement late last year, Street Fighter 5 has been a topic consistently on the tips of tongues throughout the fighting game community. Very limited gameplay footage has been shown off, and even less information about the game has been divulged, so speculation and wishful thinking is all we've got until the next big reveal drops.
We've seen analysis videos from community members and impressions from top players, and now most of the Evil Geniuses crew has stepped in to share their thoughts on Capcom's upcoming next-gen fighter.
Fighting games writer Michael Migliacio sat down with Ricky Ortiz, Justin Wong, PR Balrog, and Momochi to pick their brains and find out what they think about Street Fighter 5 so far.
While each player had their own individual requests and hopes for the next Street Fighter title, one thing that the entire EG fighting game division agreed upon is the return of Guard Crush. For those unfamiliar, Guard Crush is a mechanic wherein a meter gradually fills up whenever a player blocks attacks. If the meter fills up completely, the player's block is broken and they are forced into a dizzy state, leaving them open to a free punish.
We have witnessed one quick glimpse of Guard Crush in one of the first Street Fighter 5 trailers, but it appeared to be absent in the stage demo at Capcom Cup. Still, seeing as though the game is only 20% complete, we'll more than likely see it in a later build. One of the most interesting requests came from Ricky Ortiz, who expressed a strong stance on the subject of gameplay tweaks. In Street Fighter 5, Ortiz hopes that Capcom will completely do away with dashing and revamp the combo system so that it isn't so heavily reliant on linking attacks together.
"I think that will make the game a much more solid fighter at all levels of play,” she explains.
Overall, Ricky is looking for a unique Street Fighter experience that steers clear of the pitfalls found in the Street Fighter 4 series.
I have to say, I agree with you there, Ricky, but please keep Focus Attack in for the ol' DreamKing.
Be sure to check out what the other Evil Geniuses had to say about Street Fighter 5 by hitting the link below."

I guess they want Championship Edition ver 2? Honestly, why does Capcom listen to these guys? As good as top players are in fighting games so many of them make absolutely scrubtastic game design choices.

Some are good and some are bad though.

This game seems slower than SF4: Looking worse and worse, I like that zoning is strong but the projectiles are crazy from what I see. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/jan/31/video-street-fighter-5-exhibition-match-between-daigo-ryu-and-gamerbee-chun/"We're reporting to you live from the Taipei Game Show from the Taipei World Trade Center today. Moments ago, the Capcom Street Fighter 5 and Monster Hunter stage event at the Sony PlayStation booth here just concluded.
As you may have realized by now, the entire presentation was only meant for the eyes of those in attendance, and the stage event could not be live streamed to the rest of the world who couldn't be there; it's not just Capcom's stage event -- everything that was shown on the PlayStation stage at Taipei Game Show (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Metal Gear Solid V, etc) could not be streamed.
So we're bringing you the next best thing to a live stream -- we've got footage of the MCZ|Daigo (Ryu) vs. AVM|GamerBee (Chun-Li) exhibition, and we're pulling all the stops to bring you this footage as quickly as we can after the fact.
Check out the exhibition match below -- and watch out for the moment when GamerBee pulls out an Omega Chun-Li from out of nowhere.
Then check back on EventHubs later in the day to find out more about what was said during the stage show, and in our interview with Capcom's Yoshinori Ono on the subject of Street Fighter 5."

Well, I knew Chun in her Omega mode had double projectiles but I didn't know they were full screen. I wanna say I like them, reminds me of Remy. But, the problem is remy required knowledge of charge buffering to do that while Chuns looks braindead.

Yea I like that they don't shy away from zoning (since scrubs bitch about losing to it while spamming divekicks. Don't like stupid zoning though. A good balance all around of different tactics are best IMO. 4 at the same time vs a grappler? Will they be giving everyone ex moves that go through fireballs again like they did in 4?

Hopefully no invincible frames. Third Strike had parrying to get around screen flooding projectiles. I guess this game might require good fundamentals.
