As for Doa not coming out here. It's getting ridiculous that sjw is creating such a hostile climate for devs.

The dumbed down games and censorship is ruining it. There are fewer and fewer places to go and fighting games were one of the genres that were the least affected by it- until now.

There's less places to go for sure. I remember all the nonsense about Doa because of costumes and Mila Rose. Even Japanese developers are tarting to cave in at least when it comes to western releases of their games.

This crap got ridiculous because we sat back and allowed this just like socialism. We have to pound these morons into the ground and not let up. These fools are not the majority of purchasers anyways. I heard about that, at least it was in the western versions. Old school games did that back in the day sometimes. Did you ever see Ash in SoR3? I'm definitely not surprised with Xenoblade considering our current climate.

I feel you on the fact that this getting crazy. I just hope it's a censored issue due to ports. Resident Evil has the exact same issue with off screen chainsaw. I believe some versions kept the uncensored versions. Maybe, it's just wishful thinking on my part. Buy, I don't feel that the Sjw have won. They haven't gone the MKX route with the complete manification of the female characters. They even fixed the face of Chun li and Cammy. So, I'm thinking and hoping it's more of a camera efit like Resident Evil than full sjw like MKX.

The good news is that this has had a HUGE negative backlash, so we'll see what they do.

I'm about certain we'll get some response this week. A break from it in the meantime wouldn't hurt. There are other more productive topics anyways.

If the animation takes up less time then I'm happy with the change. I'm just not a fan of cinematic supers. Only kind of censorship that will bother me is if they make the women ugly/ bleep out words

So, I checked to make sure it wasn't regionally.
So, even the Japanese beta was affected. It's not just us, I'll keep you guys posted on the Japanese side of this scandal.

Not to mention they still have their revealing costumes. Sports have their cheerleaders and movies and tv have all kinds of stuff so why be worried about that. If the animation takes up less time then I'm happy with the change. I'm just not a fan of cinematic supers. Only kind of censorship that will bother me is if they make the women ugly/ bleep out words That's neither here nor there though. I'm not a fan of cinematic supers either, but there were no frames removed, and everything remained the same except they changed the camera angle. If they were just removing frames to speed things up, why didn't they do it all around, or just speed things up and not cut those aspects? Why not change Chun Li's super too for instance? Not only that but companies don't spend tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars just to remove something at the last minute. This is just as bad if not worse as the other types of censorship. Especially since you can skip Cammy's entrance anyways. Not only that but the edit looks sloppy as hell. It had nothing to do with ending cut-scenes, because why put them in there in the first place? This is all about censorship and caving into the PC crowd. If they start with this who knows what they'll do next. This is exactly what Western companies do. Yea, but they still have Laura in the game. I knew Japan was hit too.

Funny because it looks like crap. It's sloppy and the muscle buster looks awful. Cammy's looks sloppily done too. Let's all hope this was a demo. I doubt it because the stress test had Cammy's change.
Laura might be next lol.

Okay. Pseudo-rant. There was absolutely no point in making a change like that for a large number of reasons. One is because there are already many fighting games that are rated T for Teen that have even more risqué elements that even what SFV has to offer. This also applies to other video games as well. Two is because... it's too late to make a change like that when... we've been visualizing and playing this game for MONTHS. Three is because many noteworthy SF (or general Capcom) characters became popular BECAUSE of the fact that they had a (likably) provocative aspect to them (R. Mika, Morrigan, Felicia, Rouge from Power Stone). Trying to change that aspect now is just going to derail their character by a huge amount. Four is because of the actual animation in itself. Look at it. It reminds me of something you would see from a horribly edited generic Steven Seagal movie! Awkward camera angles, camera shots and really weird looking movements. Five... is because, they are still wearing the exact same costumes which still make them look hot. Six... another reason why this sort of thing is really pointless is because... they are not really pleasing anyone. Whom exactly are they trying to please? A very small group of losers who don't even play the game on any active basis? Get the fuck out of here with that nonsense! Number seven. Some people might not even see the butt slap animation for R. Mika's CA as sexualized (though, it still looks pleasing). In many cases, that's usually considered just some light-hearted "bring it on" gesture made commonly on older children's cartoons. Why is this suddenly a problem. Hell, why is ANY of this a problem? Where were these SJW moron's in the 90's? I guaranteed that none of these people would be able to answer that question honestly. Because, it's not like they are supporting or contributing anything. They are just getting in the way. Too busy worried about what's going on in the entertainment industry while completely ignoring real issues (dare I mention Anita Sarkeesian- whoever the fuck this lunatic is?). This is quite a disturbing new trend that has been going on for the past couple of years. Whining about hot female characters in video games (or other media) seems to be a hip thing to do nowadays. And, I say... fuck that shit. They need to make their own games to appeal to whatever niche that they are into. Or, just simply stay the hell away from the game industry.
The game play means a lot to me as well. I take note of the buffs and the nerfs but I still have the neutral game, normals and fundamentals in mind. The real issue is the unnecessary censorship... going on with a JAPANESE company of all things. It's really difficult for me to tolerate censorship (of any kind. Self-censorship include. And, no. I don't give a rats ass about some rating system (based on what's going on here right now, it is VERY inconsistent and has been so for as long as we can remember). As I stated several times before... if this is what Capcom is resorting to... in order to appease this little vocal minority (i.e. SJW's for example, and THEY ARE a small minority that no other game developer should really be paying any attention to anyway).

I have a tiny request though. Your post is great and I like the ooints. Is there any way that you can use bullet points/numbers and maybe add a line between them? I want people to be able to see what you wrote and enjoy it like I did. Don't want them skipping over it or anything. You know like. 1. 2. 3. Thanks bro.

I think that's the issue. As in "Why" are they doing this. You guys read the articles I posted about Xenoblades and Fatal Frame being censored as well. It seems SJW are starting to affect how games are marketed to the west.

It seems SJW are starting to affect how games are marketed to the west. They've already been doing that. The proboem is people are looking at this logically when it is like a religion. It's based on belief and not logic. It's an ideology they push. All the more reason to stay away from mainstream modern gaming.

This might be the worst news along with the censorship: The game will be aimed at kids and have reactive, fan based feedback. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/nov/09/capcom-looking-bring-newer-younger-audience-street-fighter-5-will-have-dedicated-time-frame-balancing-post-launch/In a recent interview, Brian Ayers -- EMEA brand manager at Capcom -- took the time to talk about the company's highly anticipated upcoming title, Street Fighter 5. Touching on a number of topics, Ayers delves into game balance, Street Fighter 5's business model, and much more.
The next installment in the Street Fighter franchise is quite obviously about rebirth. After almost a decade of Street Fighter 4, Capcom has shown that they are looking for a fresh start with Street Fighter 5.
Newly designed classic characters and a more accessible fighting system aren't the only ways they've shown this. Ayers explains that the company is aiming to bring in a variety of new challengers.
“We really hope that Street Fighter V can bring in a newer, younger audience,” Ayers said. “Perhaps more of an eSports audience, as well. Street Fighter is actually one of the first eSports titles out there, but it’s relatively underground compared to the likes of Dota 2 and League of Legends.” Though Street Fighter 5 won't necessarily be a free-to-play title, it will feature a business model never before seen in Street Fighter. Instead of releasing a "Super" or "Ultra" update every year -- as Capcom has become known to do, most recently with the Street Fighter 4 series -- fans will only ever have to purchase Street Fighter 5 on time.
A large portion of the game's DLC will be available, free of charge, for everyone. Players will be able to earn content such as characters simply by playing the game and earning Fight Money -- SF5's in-game currency.
Shifting to this structure allows Capcom to be more responsive to balance issues and much faster. There will be no more waiting a year before changes can be applied.
“Moving to a service-based platform means we can be a lot more reactive to balancing; we don’t have to wait for another disc version," Ayers explained. "We’ll be making sure we have a dedicated balancing time-frame.
“It also allows us to react to fan feedback -- maybe if we don’t get something quite right or if fans want to see more of something else. Capcom has a pretty good reputation for listening to fans, and we can continue that and be a lot more reactive.”

I've heard enough. Time to move on. So how do you feel about SF as a whole from the past few days? It seems to be heading in the SF4/SFxT route in terms of dumbing down (sf4) and controversy (sfxt).

The fan reaction balances are what I hate the most. It's the scrubbiest thing in modern fighters. Combine with them dumbing down and censoring this game. I'm done with crapcom. This game went from sugar to shit all before release.
I'm not getting this new for sure. It's time to take a break from gaming any way.

NRS does this and they are *constantly* changing everything and you have to relearn stuff. Fighting games are a huge investment of time as it is to get good at them. The last thing you need is constant scrub fixing. They've been handing out "nerfs" constantly now and the damage has dropped dramatically from what it once was. The game had a darker yet fun feel, and now it just seems silly. Single player games and old school it is. Minimum time investment this way and no online required if I'm on the move.

That's why older games are better. They're static and they can't release patches that force you to relearn the meta game. It takes years to discover everything in a game. Even now we have new techs being discovered for old games. One patch destroys that process completely. Now they have ondemand nerfs. Gaming has become incredibly boring and the high time investment plus poorly designed games. It's not worth it.

I don't have a problem with an update here and there and I like balance, but not just constantly with stupid whine nerfs. If you could have the old school games with some of the more ridiculous stuff removed or made more balanced I wouldn't hate it. Better that than this though. Its capcom so its probably fine. They normally do the opposite of what they say anyways Yea but do they ever do that in a good way? It's always in a bad way lol. This game looked a lot more exciting last year. After the censorship and this news, it's going down the slope.

Besides the censorship what actually changed? Well they've been toning down damage and a lot of things on the characters constantly. I'll have to play a later beta to see that. Now they're talking about "reactive" balancing and catering to a young audience who won't hold onto the game for long. I just wonder if all of it's really necessary. Not to mention the stupid censorship. I'll keep myself updated as I like to be informed though.
