It's not even the censorship it's the retarded random nerfs and everything else. But, it's the fact that they lied. They said they would make a more offensive oriented Street fighter with an emphasis on buffs. Then they start nerfing everything. I'm tired of this shit.
I'm honestly done with this game, It's SF4 all over again. Capcom can't stop shitting on their plate.
Xrd is awesome, I'm planning on getting when I get my PC this Christmas. But, I'm gonna be gaming less. I'll still talk about games, but nowhere near as much. This is the samething that happened with anime all over again.
Yea, the nerfs combined with the SJW nonsense put a bad taste in my mouth. They just remove everything people find. I like that it has less emphasis on vortex but come on.
Have you read the pc thread I bumped? . Good thing about PC is you can any generation at any time and you don't feel pressured to play since you bought it like a console since it has other uses.

Ono is an idiot. Since he was made over the sf series and other capcom fighters its been a steady decline downwards.
Agreed, his tenure as producer has spawned some of the worst titles in the franchise's career.
Is it specifically Ono, or does this have a lot to do with executives and the lack of talent they had in the past?
R. Mika is his favorite character so I couldn't see him wanting to censor it. SF4 had Poison. My guess is the execs at Sony/Capcom wanted it cut and he had to obey. I'm not saying he's blameless in the lack of quality in recent games though.

It has been mentioned that Yoshinori Ono assures that their decision came solely within the development team. Even if Ono was to leave Capcom, and there will still be people that want SFV to appeal to the entire world along with being as popular in esports as League of Legends. Capcom is being lead by clueless idiots.

That's my point. I don't think this is a one man problem. Dumbing down games is a video game industry problem.

Look at the nerfs for Mika now. Ryu's been hit hard too. I thought this was a fast paced, high damage game based on buffs. You can't do a standing jab into target combo? Was that broken too? FFS.
Nerfs - Overall damage reduction on a lot of moves, too lazy to compare everything. Both v-trigger activations now do 100 (used to be 120 for neutral and 150 for directional) Super still does 350. - Opponents are no longer airborne while crouch blocking on wakeup, no more meaty wingless airplane. - V-skill gives way less damage and a lot slower, you still get a damage buff for tapping v-skill, but the second buff comes out 3 seconds later now, not really practical. - HP Shooting Peach either is more unsafe or has less active frames, before you could do something like s.hp xx HP peach then time another HP peach on their wakeup for + frames if they backrolled, it's now punishble. - Can no longer do s.jab into target combo. - The MP in her target combo no longer has the same frame advantage on hit as her normal MP during counterhit, before you could delay the 2nd hit on the target combo to get a counter hit and link s.hp, now you can only link a jab. - f.MK has way less range. - c.MK has a bigger hurtbox, can no longer low profile random stuff. - c.jab and s.jab have less frame advantage, you don't get a free tick throw anymore. - Ex shooting Peach no longer has armor on the 1st frame.
Buffs f.HP seems to have more frame advantage on block. f.HP, c.jab/s.jab is a true blockstring, can't DP in between.
"Recently, we reported on Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono issuing a statement regarding the changes made to Street Fighter V’s R.Mika (her finisher specifically) and the following uproar it cause within the community.
Well it seems as though we’ve gotten another explanation from Capcom, this time the reasoning behind it seems more related to the games rating.
A few days ago, Daily Dot Esports conducted an interview with senior product manager Matt “Mattdeezie” Dahlgren, he explains the reason behind the change to R.Mika (and by extension Cammie) was to ensure the games Teen rating.
From the interview:
[…]we are a Teen rated franchise, and we want to make sure we keep that appeal to a very wide audience. We thought maybe in those instances things could’ve been pushed just a little bit too far so we had to tone it down slightly. We want to make sure that Street Fighter remains a family friendly franchise and it’s that delicate balance that we play ensuring that we remain a teen game.
Matt Dahlgren does state the game is still undergoing changes, meaning that it could very well revert to the original form the fans wanted.
Street Fighter V is set to launch on PS4 and PC on February 16th, 2016."
More lies and PR nonsense, now apparently they censored the game for a Teen rating... contrary to what they said before.
Except... it's bullshit because of all of the other games that have Teen ratings with far more suggestive content. So they're basically lying. We'll see if they change it back after this heat. Best to keep up the pressure.

"Never satisfied, never full, they eat and destroy with grubby hands until nothing is left but piss, but now the judgement of all humans has begun."
If that is a quote from the video I watched a day or two ago he didn't mean the game was M rated he meant that he felt the game was on the end of T Rating that wasn't family friendly so basically Avengers vs Dark Knight type stuff. Still all Bullshit, games should never be changed, edited or censored to appeal to non-fans.
It's all a lie because they said the changes were all internal and now they're saying it's to keep a Teen rating. How could it not be family friendly when SF4 had worse content at a Teen rating not to mention other games? What's family friendly about two heads between a butt and not a slap? Why is Zangief ok but Mika needs to be censored? Etc, etc.
This is why censorship is bullshit. Teens like looking at attractive females and various games have them, this isn't a "family game" ala Smash Bros. Almost no real fans had a problem with it. They were worried about offending other groups plain and simple.
It's PR talk because they're covering their asses.
"Never satisfied, never full, they eat and destroy with grubby hands until nothing is left but piss, but now the judgement of all humans has begun."
They did it because they were scared same reason why DOAX3 was not broght over orwhy Nintendo censors the American version of Fatal Frame and Xenoblade.
Early version of SF5 had boob jiggle and such. There's no way Capcom put these things in there with expectations os an M rating.
It's fear, Japanese companies are scared. Plain and simple.

Well the jiggle glitch was mentioned early and many things floated around at that time.
The Mika and Cammy stuff was no doubt censorship. The fact that they have to make press statements is good because it means they feel the heat from people not taking it anymore.

I pressured Eventhubs enough and they finally posted something in regards to the censorship, more of a copout really, and they also insult their own readers when they rely on click bait constantly:
A few weeks back, Capcom decided to alter a few camera angles during the development process of Street Fighter 5. These small alterations became the source of quite a bit of banter in the community.
Two of the female characters, Cammy and R. Mika, had what some would consider risque visual sequences. Although neither character's outfit is very conservative in nature, the camera angles that focused directly on more provocative body parts wound up hitting the cutting room floor.
The community almost instantly divided into two camps: one that agreed with the edits, and one viewed them as high-handed censorship. While the game is purposed for the fans, making any judgements on someone else's unreleased product, especially without knowing their motivations, is probably a bit rash.
Seeing as this has remained a hot topic for the community, we decided to ask Capcom's Director of Brand Marketing & Esports, Matt Dahlgren, exactly why the team decided to make these changes.
Dahlgren was happy to respond, and you can see what he said after the jump. Dahlgren gives it to us straight, and to the point.
"First and foremost, it's a product still in development, so things get tweaked as we go along. If something could be considered ‘going too far,’ then we might have to scale things back.
“We work very closely with the ESRB to make sure we're a Teen rated franchise, and that's the primary, driving factor," he said.
There it is, right from the source. Capcom felt that the sequences in question could be considered a threat to the game's Teen rating.
It's been evident since very early in the game's life that developers are trying to reach as wide of an audience as possible.
Street Fighter games have traditionally carried a Teen rating, and deviating from that would probably be a bigger disservice to fans than including a few titillating visuals.
Hopefully this is enough of an answer to satisfy the community, and allow us to move on to more pressing matters.
It seems that Street Fighter 5 has a normal move priority system, which is something that's very rare for Capcom fighting games, only appearing in Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.
Most hardcore fighting game players know that frame data and hitboxes are what dictate whether a move wins or loses, but it appears like a build of Street Fighter 5 actually has a priority system.
PeriodikoSF recorded a terrific video which runs through several scenarios, and shows how he believes that Street Fighter 5 has a normal priority system — which causes more powerful moves to beat out weaker attacks, in what would otherwise be a trading hit scenario.
Not only does this cause heavy attacks to beat medium, and medium to beat light, but you also score a counter hit, leading to some damaging possibilities.
For example, in Street Fighter 4, if the active frames of your light punch clash with the active frames of your opponent's medium punch, you'll trade. In SF5, the medium punch will cleanly beat the light every time.
We will be testing this priority system further when beta #3 officially launches to make sure it's still in the game.
If this all holds up, and there isn't something else weird going on here, this is an amazing discovery that will have huge implications in the game. Here's an animated sequence with a short bit, but you can find the entire video below.

The defense in SF5 isn't at obnoxious as it is in SF4. The jabs were way too good though. It just encouraged brainless mashing to get out of everything since throws were already weak. If the game is about smart use of normals then jabs shouldn't be braindead good.
The fanboys will wank Capcom no matter what they do though.

As part of their ongoing efforts to make Street Fighter V as accessible as possible (apart from an Xbox One release, naturally), associate producer Peter “Combofiend” Rosas announced today that the PC version will support both SteamOS and the Steam controller.
Capcom is “working closely” with Valve to provide this experience, which effectively opens the title up to folks who prefer to game on Linux platforms.
Players will be able to test out the Steam controller functionality during this weekend’s beta, so stay tuned for feedback on how compatible it is with the upcoming title.
Street Fighter V launches for PlayStation 4 and PC on February 16. More details on the next beta test can be found here.
