Street Fighter 5 online matchmaking speed and quality to be increased in next week's update
As we all know, Street Fighter 5 is set to receive an update next week which will contain the free Story Mode update, Ibuki as a character and a bunch of other goodies.
Another thing to be included in this update, it was revealed today, are improvements to the game's online matchmaking. A post on Capcom-Unity from Haunts detailed what exactly this will entail.
Improvements to Matchmaking Preferences
Since launch there have been issues where matchmaking preferences have not been working properly for some users. This includes hardware preference settings, connection quality settings and being matched with other players far outside of your League Point range. These issues have now been resolved.
Matchmaking Speed
In some cases, player’s League Points weren’t synchronizing across all servers which resulted in longer than expected wait times to find a match. With this fix, users should start seeing matches at a more rapid pace than before.
Smarter Matchmaking
Matching logic based on League Points has been improved and players should now be matched with other players of similar skill more often. There are also additional improvements to location based matchmaking, along with an increased range of qualified match candidates.
Improved Quality of Matches
Improvements were made to the connection range settings (1-5) and should more accurately reflect the quality of incoming matches.

It took them long enough to get that going. Let's hope this somewhat complete version of the game is good.

Summer breeze makes her feel fine - Learn more about Ibuki with her official Street Fighter 5 trading card
The official Street Fighter Twitter account has released their trading card-like Vine video for Street Fighter 5's upcoming DLC fighter, Ibuki.
Though the new character and the June update will be dropping next week, this short clip gives us another quick look at Ibuki while providing us with some of her information. Known as the "Shinobi of the Summer Breeze," Ibuki stands at 5'4" and is a fast eater.
We also get a quick breakdown of Ibuki's in-game stats, detailing her power, health, mobility, and more.

Amazing Chun-Li, Ken, Ryu, and Amaterasu statues, Street Fighter Pop figures, and more: Check out the Capcom merch displayed on E3 2016's show floor E3 2016 wrapped up last week, and as many of you probably know by now I was on the scene gathering intel for the team back home. During some down time, I took the opportunity to snap some photos of the awesome merchandise Capcom had on display at their booth on the show floor. Featured for attendees to see were a number of amazing looking statues, a handful of the upcoming Funko Pop figures, and even some killer Mega Man stuff. Since E3 isn't open to the public, I thought I'd share some of this stuff with you all! Below are just a handful of the photos to get you started, but you can check out the rest after the jump. Street Fighter V X Sanwa Denshi Balltops Now Available for Pre-Order at Arcade Shock
Arcade Shock is no stranger to bringing out Sanwa arcade parts featuring unique designs. A few months back, they released a series of Street Fighter V themed balltops and buttons, now they’re following that up with another set of special balltops.
This new series of Street Fighter V x Sanwa Denshi balltops features character art by Motoki Yoshihara. For those who’re unfamiliar with his work, Yoshihara is responsible for the Basara manga that Capcom publishes in Japan. Additionally, he also did the Street Fighter III: 3rd Universe design for SPLITFRAME.
The images on these balltops are done in Yoshinara’s unique style, eschewing the 3D model art look that’s more common today.
Pre-orders for these are now open at Arcade Shock, the balltops themselves will officially launch at Evo this July.

Dolls leader Enero and gun nut Fevrier lead the pack as the CFN portal delves into Shadaloo's Dolls with the latest Street Fighter 5 profiles
For the next few days, the CFN site has been focusing on uploading profiles of the Dolls, M. Bison's special troupe of bodyguards, some of which can be seen in the background of the Shadaloo Base stage in Street Fighter 5.
Since they're all names after months, they're being introduced in chronological order of their namesakes, which means we're starting today with giving you some background information on the Doll's leader, Enero, and this writer's personal favorite, the gun-toting Février.
Introduction
From today, we'll be introducing Master Bison's bodyguard troupe, the Dolls.
First, we'll talk about the current leader. She's a high-class type.
Basic info
Name: Enero Height: 167cm Weight: 57kg Blood type: A Birthday: 16th of January Country of origin: Spain Likes: Chocolate, herb tea Dislikes: Dryness
Profile
She uses her specialized megaphone Silver Afternoon to order the other Dolls around.
She's an expert at vocal mimicry, and has caused many problems for the ICPO and other national law enforcement agencies. She can brainwash people through her speech.
Her regular deameanor is polite and courteous, but if she gets angry, she's scary. None of the other dolls dare defy her.
If she's doing something, she needs it done perfectly, and she loves cleanliness. She loves giving orders, but she hates taking orders.
Introduction
Here's another one of the Dolls, and the most spirited one of the group.
She'll blow you away with her two machineguns! A quite dangerous girl.
Basic info
Name: Février Height: 171cm Weight: 59kg Blood type: B Birthday: 9th of February Country of origin: France Likes: Gun maintenance, competitive games Dislikes: Idle time
Profile
She fights at the front line with submachine guns, shotguns and grenades (she's not fond of physical combat).
There's nothing that scares her (except Enero).
She has quite the wild attitude, and cane often end up being careless. She's been warned numerous times by both Aprile and Juli, but she never learns.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
März hates speaking to the other Dolls, Aprile wants to protect them - Latest SF5 profiles detail two more of Shadaloo's Dolls
Continuing the theme of Shadaloo's Dolls, the latest Street Fighter 5 profiles have been released.
Next up in line from the Dolls, we have the computer expert März and the team's medic Aprile.
Introduction
It's time to introduce another one of the Dolls.
It's the glasses girl herself. She's very repressed.
This is the kind of person that gets super scary if you anger them...
Basic info
Name: März Height: 164cm Weight: 48kg Blood type: A Birthday: 27th of March Country of origin: Germany Likes: Reading, chess, board games Dislikes: Speaking with people she doesn't know
Profile
She always carries a computer with her on her back, and specializes in espionage. She gathers information through data infiltration and sends it back to Shadaloo.
She's an extremely shy person, and hates speaking to any of the other Dolls.
To keep conversation at an absolute minimum, there are many situations where she doesn't speak up at all.
However, in situations where she feels her opinion needs to be heard, she pushes herself hard to make sure she doesn't leave it unsaid.
Introduction
Another Doll enters the scene.
The healer. The relief squad girl herself.
The eldest member of the Dolls. She's the big sister type.
Basic info
Name: Aprile Height: 171cm Weight: 55kg Blood type: O Birthday: 7th of April Country of origin: Italy Likes: Dancing, singing Dislikes: All kinds of animals
Profile
She's a former gymnastics practicioner. The reliable eldest member of the Dolls group.
She's very trusted by the rest of the Dolls. She's very together as a person, and acts as sort of a big sister and advisor to the other girls.
However, because she feels she has to protect all the others, she sometimes exerts herself more than she can really handle.
As a result, she's a bit frail emotionally. Apparently she has a little brother... ?

Capcom deals finishing blow to the RZR_INFILTRATION ACCOUNT - Tool Assisted finds himself banned from CFN
It's been a good run, but it appears that Capcom has finally brought the ban hammer down on Tool Assisted.
Tool Assisted took to Twitter recently with a few screenshots showing that he was no longer able to use the RZR_INFILTRATION CFN ID, nor add the name to his favorites list.
Countless players went toe to toe with Tool Assisted's bot as he racked up LP, chasing the coveted number one spot on the ladder. He was even so bold as to challenge Mike Ross and Floe on an episode of Capcom Pro Talk.
www.eventhubs.com/news/2016/jun/08/mike-ross-and-floe-encounter-street-fighter-5-rzr_infiltration-bot-watch-them-try-beat-instant-counter-pokes-and-throw-breaks/ It's good to see Capcom taking some action against using bots on ladder, but do you think it's enough?

Cammy cosplayer forced to cover up at CEO, but not by tournament staff
Cosplayer Ashley Riot! planned to show off her Street Fighter 5 Cammy cosplay at CEO this weekend, but ran into some trouble with the powers that be, and was forced to cover up her lower half with a pair of leggings.
As an extremely popular character in the Street Fighter franchise, it's no secret that Cammy White's traditional outfit shows off more than a little leg. Perhaps the most cosplayed Street Fighter character, most of the community is pretty used to seeing Cammy outfits at events.
Apparently, at least one individual was uncomfortable with Riot!'s outfit at CEO, and the hotel staff stepped forward to police the situation:
Tournament organizer Alex Jebailey commented on the matter on his Twitter.
Naturally, this caused quite a stir as people began reacting on social media. When the tweets started rolling in asking Jebailey for more specifics on why this happened, he clarified that it was not his decision, and that his hands are tied:
"[T]hat was the hotel management's call and out of my control," he expressed via Twitter.
Though she won't be able to show off her work at CEO, you can still check out Ashley's amazing costumes, including her Cammy without leggings, on Facebook page, or on her website.

Combofiend: My favorite unreleased DLC character is Balrog... he hits really, really hard
We continue to share with you our findings from our Capcom interviews at this year's E3 with some Balrog discussion from Peter "Combofiend" Rosas.
Rosas is one of the closest Capcom employees in the world to Street Fighter 5's characters, as it's one of his jobs to get familiar with them and offer input on how to mold them into the best roster additions they can be.
In regards to the three remaining DLC fighters for this year, Balrog, Juri and Urien, we asked who he's liking most at this point in time.
"Balrog, that's my personal choice," he replied. "I can't wait for a lot of the players out there to use him, because he hits really, really hard."
Rosas continued his explanation for why Rog especially captures his interest, "I think he's really exciting. Every time I do combos with him in the office, or anything hot, it just feels really impactful."
Street Fighter 5 doesn't tend to have as many high hit-count combos, but we were all surprised when we found out what Guile's V-Trigger could do. Continuing on in the Balrog line of questioning, we asked Combofiend whether the boxer would have big, extended combos or shorter sequences.
"He's shorter combos. We leave the long combos to Guile," he laughed.
We did see some brief footage of Balrog in action when Mike Ross played him at E3. This was just a single round in Story Mode, but Boxer did dole out the damage in no small way.
We do take display with a grain of salt, because we have no idea if the Shadaloo solider in the video is even close to comparable to one of the game's actual roster member. Also, we understand that Balrog isn't quite finished yet, and so his final version could end up being different than what we saw.
The upcoming characters, as we know them from their previous iterations, are wildly different from each other. Together they should make for a well-rounded addition to the SF5 roster.

I'm guessing he loses his safeness in exchange for the high combos. High damage, plus safety, and speed with his normals would be crazy.

Here are My thoughts about Cammy's cosplayer from eventhubs: Honestly that one individual should've never been listen too, but hey all it takes is one person to make such a big problem to ruin it for everyone else (like Overwatch Tracer's butt pose). Its not surprising anymore, but this kind of stuff is just faceplam worthy you'll find yourself doing it a 1000 times. These people that get so easily offended by everything (or doing it just for clicks) are nothing but pure cancer.
I would feel very happy when modern feminism falls and these SJWs are completely ignored entirely along with getting destroyed by someone with logic & has thicker skin than these groups, which no one would have to worry about not offending these groups.

Satsuki doesn't get jokes and Juni just can't stop talking about cats - One of the current Dolls and one former Doll detailed in latest SF5 profiles
Next up, we have perhaps the most skilled combatant of Shadaloo's Dolls, as well as former Doll Juni, who was playable back in the Street Fighter Alpha series, but has since been rescued by Cammy.
Introduction
It's time for even more Dolls!
The captain of the infiltration team! She uses her sword with great skill!
She's superior in one-on-one combat! What a samurai, huh.
Basic info
Name: Satsuki Height: 170cm Weight: 56kg Blood type: A Birthday: 17th of May Country of origin: Japan Likes: Meditation, sushi Dislikes: Guns, knitting
Profile
You can't even see her mouth with that mask on. Let's take a peek at her maskless visage.
She's an extremely serious person, to the point where she sticks out even in a group like the Dolls.
She's stubborn and will never get any jokes she's told. (She doesn't understand the fact that they're jokes).
She has a strong sense of duty, and will never forget a debt she owes. Her beloved katana is called Murasame Blade, and her ninja sword is called Rasetsu Blade.
She's not just skilled with a sword, but very proficient in hand-to-hand combat as well.
Introduction
This time, we're focusing on a FORMER Doll.
At the moment, she's being protected by Delta Red. But here, we're presenting her profile because she used to be part of Shadaloo's Dolls.
Basic info
Name: Juni Height: 162cm Weight: 46kg Blood type: AB Birthday: 30th of June Country of origin: Germany Likes: Cats, reading Dislikes: Car horns
Profile
Based on recent information, she's such a big fan of cats that if you start talking to her about them, she'll never be quiet.
Besides cats, she also likes learning new things. She's not very good at reading the mood in any situation.
Basically, she's kind of stuck in her own little world.
While she was still with Shadaloo, she was a very quiet person, though.

Even more June content, new stages, an early DLC release? What could tonight's big Street Fighter 5 announcement possibly be?
We already know the June update for Street Fighter 5 is packed with new material. We're getting a new character in Ibuki, the highly anticipated Cinematic Story Mode and the in-game store.
With all of this fresh content just days away, we feel like the community is pretty satiated in terms of big announcements. Apparently Capcom doesn't feel the same way, as they recently announced on Twitter:
"We have a big announcement lined up for tonight! Be sure to stick around after #SF5 Top 8 at #CEO2016 on Capcomfighters!"
We're not complaining, but rather excitedly surprised. Given everything we already know is in the chamber, what else could we possibly be getting? We have a few ideas.
First off, we don't officially have the release date for the June content. We know it has to be in the next five days, but that's it. This wouldn't exactly fit under the banner of "big announcement," but it's still information we'd be happy to hear.
If anything, we hope this is part of tonight's reveal, but not the bulk of it.
Another possibility could be a quick reveal of Juri and Urien game play. We haven't seen footage of either of these two in Street Fighter 5 yet, and a quick showcase of a few of their moves and such would be pretty great.
Matt Edwards recently asked Tokido in an interview which classic stage he'd like to see come back for SF5, so perhaps we'll find that even more classic stages are on their way to the game.
This last one is a bit of a long shot, but would make for a great and welcome surprise. What if we got one of the three remaining DLC characters along with Ibuki?
If one of them were already ready, an early release would do wonders in the way of appeasing SF5 fans who are a bit disgruntled by Ibuki's delay.

This evening at CEO 2016 Capcom announced that Balrog would be a playable character in the latest update for Street Fighter 5, coming this Friday, July 1, 2016.
Urien and Juri were also briefly shown during Balrog's trailer, along with the Las Vegas stage, which Balrog fought on in the Street Fighter 2 series.
Balrog will be joined by Ibuki, and other pieces that made up the June update for the game.

Balrog costumes revealed, Juri and Urien artwork; new Karin Summer stage and outfit also unveiled and coming this Friday Capcom has released a blog this morning providing us will all of the details about the next Street Fighter 5 update. Firstly, the next patch is set to roll out on July 1st at 12:00 midnight in all territories. This will be prefaced with the standard server maintenance we usually see before an update, which will begin at 2 p.m. PDT on June 30th. As we learned last night at CEO 2016, the update will add Ibuki to the roster and the cinematic story expansion, as well as Balrog as a playable character. Additionally, we will be getting new stages and costumes, which we will discuss now. Balrog's story and premium costumes, and his classic Las Vegas stage, will become available for purchase when the update drops. Additionally, to honor the Summer time Capcom is making available a brand new stage and costume for Karin. The Kanzuki Family Private Beach will become available this Friday for 70,000 fight money, and Karin's premium Summer outfit can also be purchased from the PS Store and Steam for $3.99 / €3.99 / £3.29. Before joining the ranks at Shadaloo, Balrog was one of the greatest pugilists of his generation. Since his fighting style consisted of illegal techniques, he was banned from competing. He will stop at nothing to get his fight money. In Street Fighter 5, Balrog is still one of Shadaloo's top enforcers, working alongside Vega and F.A.N.G. We'll be learning more about his motives and drive in the cinematic story expansion. Balrog is still a ferocious boxer. He uses hard-hitting punches to brutalize the opponent, and can use V-Trigger to chain attacks together for more damage. Below is a breakdown of Balrog's V-moves. V-Skill: KKB A unique move that twirls his body while moving forward. While activated, you can dodge projectiles as well as string together attacks. You can even activate KKB before a special hits you, allowing you to be a technical inside fighter. V-Trigger: Crazy Rush A chance to be the aggressor when activated! Steam rises from his body and allows you to string together specials like Charging Buffalo and Bursting Buffalo. Critical Art: Gigaton Blow Unleash the fury from your fist with this simple, yet destructive critical art. It can be connected with various moves. Make sure to include it in your combos.
