Ono up to his old antics again? Hints of an announcement at Red Bull Battlegrounds? It's been awhile since Ono and his Blanka toy has teased us with something. Ono seems to have taken to Twitter with an interesting message and picture. It is worth noting that Capcom have been advertising Red Bull Battlegrounds on the Ring of Destiny stage. Could Capcom have wanted eyes there for a very specific reason such as an announcement? Source: eventhubs

Messatsu! Akuma is Coming to Street Fighter V, Playable at the PlayStation Experience in December The Raging Demon is returning! Announced after the electrifying finals at Red Bull Battle Grounds, the master of the Satsui no Hado, Akuma, is coming back to Street Fighter V. With a brief stint in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, Akuma rejoins his fellow World Warriors to throw some purple fireballs and crush enemies underneath his sandals. Along with his announcement, we got a glimpse at a new ruined dojo stage, complete with an angry multi-armed Asura statue in the background. Eagle-eyed fans have already noticed that the kanji on Akuma’s back is the same as Shin Akuma’s in Capcom vs. SNK 2. Is that a possible hint at his V-Trigger, with him drawing deeper from the Satsui no Hado and becoming Shin Akuma? While no release date was teased for Akuma, he will be playable at the PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, California from December 3rd-4th, so get your tickets now if you want to play an early version of Akuma before his official release. This symbol was sitting in front of our noses the entire time at Battlegrounds this weekend, draped in plain site to the side of the Red Bull stage. I always liked the CvS2 version of Shin Akuma so if that's the case it'll be cool.

I've also had that problem. Playing it like once a month is honestly the only times I do have fun. I feel like its how matches play out that are boring. I know and expect certain things. I'm talking about offline play (3 people) so habits of players are already known to me.

I can't wait to see how they overhaul it in the future.

I don't see it happening at this point with SF5 being a huge success but they can never admit that. Then what do you think of PS4 in 2020 will reach 100 million units?

Want to fight on the wing of an airplane in Street Fighter 5? A new stage called 'Skies of Honor' drops tomorrow We saw some large-scale news for Street Fighter 5 over the weekend, and it looks as though Capcom isn't going to stop there. As a nice surprise, we'll be seeing a brand new stage hit the game tomorrow called "Skies of Honor." The new battlefield pits the fighters on the wing of an airplane that appears to be owned by Rashid. The Skies of Honor stage will run you 70,000 Fight Money or $3.99 actual currency. No release time has been revealed yet. Source: eventhubs

Ono: In terms of game modes, we all know that we didn’t put out a complete product - says Street Fighter 5's launch was a learning experience
Capcom's latest mainstream fighting title -- Street Fighter 5 -- didn't have too spectacular of a launch back in February of this year. With several inaccessible modes visible in-game right out of the gate, many fans felt that the game was unfinished and may have been rushed.
As it stands right now, Street Fighter 5 has made great strides in becoming the fighting game powerhouse that we all want, but that doesn't mean Capcom has already forgotten the missteps.
Red Bull caught up with Street Fighter Executive Producer, Yoshinori Ono, at this past weekend's Red Bull Battlegrounds to discuss the state of the latest game in the franchise. On the subject of the game's content, Ono is quick to say that he and Capcom acknowledge the fact that Street Fighter 5's launch wasn't strong, and that they're seeing it as an opportunity to grow in the future.
"In terms of game modes, in the beginning we all know that we didn’t put out a complete product, in a way that is a learning experience," Ono explained. "We try to progress forward and listen to the fans more, and see what they want and continue adding new modes and things to the game." In this day and age, the internet plays an enormous part in how we connect with each other. Fans can now voice their opinions about games to developers, often directly, and for these advances in technology Ono is grateful -- even though some of the feedback can be negative at times.
Ono recalls a time where he and Capcom would have to travel to events in order to get feedback from fans. "Now, there are things like social media where I can get feedback from all over the world," he says. "That makes me very happy since Street Fighter is hitting the 30th anniversary next year, and that shows the evolution of fighting games."
It may not have started out strong, but Street Fighter 5 has already grown into a mainstay fighting title in the fighting game community. With Capcom's openness to fan feedback, things should only get better from here.

That stage looks great. I like it.
Hopefully Ono makes up for the initial failure of SFV by taking it up a notch next year, hopefully they make the game better.
In terms of the PS4. I'm not sure. The older Playstations sold quite well, gaming is bigger, but at the same time many people are going to PC. Where is the PS4 in terms of sales now?

I feel this game will get better overtime, at I remember saying that before. Fighting games are going the whole online service route. So, you can keeping adding stuff which is what SF5 was trying to do. The launch was bad tho, with the game being half-finished and being 59.99.

It won't make it sell at this point since the casual base has moved on but yes they're adding more content and fixing things. SF just tried to cash in on their name and shot themselves in the foot.

Define lots of money. SF is a bigger brand but DoA ran it's product better.
Do you like SF again.

The brain dead offense is annoying. But, some characters get around it. Guile is making alot of noise recently because he's one of the few with real defensive options. I like using plus he has a dp lol.

I was saying Guile was slept on earlier. He's probably more of my style in some ways. I try to mix up my style but I play worse when I force myself to go in. Guile is really good.

He gets mixed reviews, but I remember you saying him and Bison were slept on hard. I agree he's good, back when I first started playing the dumb offense got me frustrated. But, Guile is interesting because he punishes stupid players really Really well. He's simple but effective. I love playing him because he rips apart dumb players.

Nah Bison was very highly rated at first.
Guile isn't bad which is the ultimate point. Some might argue he isn't as good as some of the top tier but he can hold his own.

Reports of motion sickness threaten turbulence with newest Street Fighter 5 stage
Rashid's new Street Fighter 5 stage "Skies of Honor" just became available for 70k FM, but if you're prone to motion sickness you may want to hang on to your in-game currency on this one.
Skies of Honor sees competitors fight atop a small plane while flying over the city of Dubai. The foreground remains stationary as the plane twists and turns over the cityscape below, presenting a visual juxtaposition that may cause motion sickness for some players.
Two tweets from LU|Alex Valle brought our attention to the potential issue: "Rashid stage gives you the motion sickness feel?... Skies of Honor is pretty dope. If you look at the background too much you could get motion sickness. Pay attention to the footsies or GG lol"
A few players responded in the comments of these tweets, saying they were indeed affected. We went ahead and jumped atop Rashid's plane ourselves to test things out, and indeed felt a bit queasy within the first few moments of play. Motion sickness can be triggered when one part of your balance-sensing system (inner ear, sensory nerves or eyes) detects motion while the others don't. People who read (or perhaps focus on their hand-held gaming devices) while in the backseat of a car can easily lose visual perception of movement.
When the car makes sudden turns, goes over bumps or sways a bit too much, this can cause motion sickness. Pro Tip: to get rid of this, look out the window, specifically out at the horizon.
Fighting game players' focus is very much on the intricacies of their and their opponent's movements, so the winding and panning of the background can easily set off some nausea in those who are more susceptible to motion sickness.
Hopefully this does not become enough of a widespread issue to make Skies of Honor illegal in tournaments, as it's an absolutely gorgeous stage and a smart and fresh concept for the game.

Ono: We want the Capcom Pro Tour to stand on its own in the next couple years - says learning in the arcade days was 10,000 times slower than now
Over the weekend, Red Bull caught up with Street Fighter Executive Producer Yoshinori Ono at the Capcom Pro Tour's North American regional finals. The interview as packed with excellent insight from Ono, such as his comments on Street Fighter 5's not so strong launch.
Though there were missteps at the beginning, Capcom is looking toward a bright future for Street Fighter 5. One way they plan on getting there is through their Pro Tour -- a yearly tournament season featuring a myriad of events and a finale held in December to crown the season's champion.
Ono recalls a recent conversation with the director of Capcom's eSports team in which the two discussed the Capcom Pro Tour. The CPT is only on its third year, and Capcom not only acknowledges that it is still in its infancy, but is aiming to make it bigger and badder.
"Over the next couple years, what we want to do is make sure the Capcom Pro Tour can stand alone on its own," Ono divulges. "We’re not quite there yet." Luckily for Capcom, the FGC, and everyone involved, advancements in technology have made widespread exposure possible. With streaming platforms such as Twitch, we can broadcast our favorite games to audiences around the world with ease.
Because of tools like this, the way we play Street Fighter has changed for the better. Back in the days before internet and streaming, players had to visit arcades and ask around to learn the latest tech.
When the first Street Fighter game was released, players didn't know how to perform Hadoukens or Shoryukens. Ono tells a tale of his college years that perfectly details the struggle experienced in the arcade era.
"We’d hear rumors that somebody at the local arcade was doing something crazy, so me and my friends would get on our bicycles and pedal our way to the game center to check it out," he explains. "Compared to now, that is about 10,000 times longer than it would take compared to somebody watching on Twitch."
"10,000 times" may seem like an exaggeration, but when you really think about it, that figure probably isn't far off. We can share tips, tricks, and tech within a matter of seconds in this day and age, and because of this Street Fighter 5's meta game is evolving at an incredible rate.
Street Fighter 5 reached a record-breaking 5,056 entrants at this year's EVO -- the largest fighting game tournament of the year -- and was broadcast on ESPN2 for the first time ever. The potential for the Pro Tour's growth is undoubtedly there, and with tournament streams and social media continuing to bring in new fans, Capcom's plans for growth don't look very far out of reach.

Rashid's Skies of Honor theme is top tier, and even has a full chorus of lyrics; give the whole song a listen right here
Perched precariously atop an aircraft thousands of feet above the city of Dubai, that's a good place to have a casual fight right?
Street Fighter 5's gorgeous new setting takes us there, and has some exciting background music to go along with already intense scenery.
We've got the extended soundtracks for both rounds one and two, the latter of which actually has multiple lyrics in it. We've heard "Ra-shi-dooooo!" and a repetitious "Take this higher" Rashid's theme and the Spooky Arena BGM respectively, but never has an SF5 theme offered more than a single singing phrase.
Round 1 Extended: 0:00 Round 2 Extended: 9:49

Eisbahn has been around since 2013? Street Fighter 5's mysterious background billboard character is more fleshed out than we thought A few weeks back we discovered a clue hidden in plain sight that may be hinting at an upcoming character in Street Fighter 5. A mysterious billboard in Street Fighter 5's London stage depicts a character Eisbahn who is in the fictional film "Secret Delta: The Movie" which is very interestingly advertised as coming out in winter of 2016. As it turns out, this isn't the very first we've seen of Eisbahn. He actually appeared in a Secret Delta Japanese comic back in 2013. These images state his bodily stats, (197cm tall, 96kg heavy and bloody type A) and offer one of his quotes, "Making the impossible possible - That's what a team is all about. Right?" Our first thoughts contrast the name Secret Delta to Delta Red, the team Cammy famously was part of. This has our interests piqued even further as we wonder exactly where Capcom is going with this. A simple background prop with an obscure reference, or an upcoming character in the Street Fighter world? Source: eventhubs

$20 for Street Fighter 5 at Best Buy, $15 at Target on Black Friday
Apparently you can also get Street Fighter 5 for $15 at Target. You will require a free downloadable app in order to take advantage of Target's Black Friday deal.
If you haven't picked up a copy of Street Fighter 5, this upcoming Black Friday is offering quite the deal. According to Polygon, Street Fighter 5 is going for $20 at Best Buy.
If you've been hesitant to pick up Street Fighter 5 for full price, maybe this deal will appear more enticing to you. Now might be the perfect time for you Akuma fans.
With Ono admitting that they did not put out a complete product in terms of game modes, perhaps we should expect Capcom to start putting in a lot more content.

Yes Urien is obviously very good. Sometimes it seems Capcom just wanted some characters to be better than others. Look at the shotos, Necalli, and Chun.
