Doesn't seem like that'll get a console release lol, seems like an AO waiting to happen. Looks like an angrier version of postal really.

Funny watching people lose their shit over this. Just like every other "controversial game". I think Manhunt was pretty hot at the time, but he didn't hate the world. They're worried about the kids getting it, but people love violent movies.

When I was a kid, I saw plenty of violent movies. I turned out okay, probably because I knew better than to conflict fantasy and reality. Parents are just looking for scapegoats for their own failures.

Parents are just looking for scapegoats for their own failures. Violent movies are ok too, it's the games that are the new scapegoat. Like most controversial stuff it doesn't look great. Just decent.

Hatred... Okay, the one thing that bothers me is how the media continues to treat video games as if it were a completely different medium. What these guys and soccer moms need to realize is that if novels... comic books... and movies consist of violence, then why is it suddenly a big deal when video games are involved? And, also... I don't really approve of the games premise at all, but you know how stupid people can really get over this kind of thing. Based on what the C-Master said, many group demographics enjoy violence in the said but they become extremely hypocritical about it (Example, disliking MKX... and then going home to watch the first Die Hard).
Edit: Another trend I've been noticing, especially in recent fighting games is that people get frustrated over particularly hot female characters being present in their games - note that coming up with these creative violent situations are completely okay but it is not okay to show hot women fighting. I can easily go on about this... but that is topic for another time.
Hatred is definitely going to be showcased all over the news and these goofy reporters are going to start having seizures over this.

As games get more mainstream they make less of a deal about violence and more of a deal about sex. I mean MK and GTA have loads of violence but it seems when you get into the "snuff, school shooter" territory then people freak out. It just means we haven't pushed the envelope enough. That said I'm not sure how good the game will be. Also where have you been mane? I've made tons of topics about these SJW's and complaining about hot chicks. If a fat and ugly woman wears skimpy clothes is good, but if they're hot then it's bad. MKX was full of SJW's glorifying the women being toned down in looks. it's all nonsense. Jack made a thread about Final Fantasy as well. Gaming has fallen to the mainstream. Now the idiots are all over it.

i watched a total biscuit overview of the game and it seems alot more tame than it was marketed to be. even the executions are less gruesome than what you see in any of the mortal kombat games.

yea i agree the context had people worried. aparantly gtav has a torture scene where the player actively engages in it but i havent heard much outrage about it.

But you still need some form of classification, Don't need young kids playing the more violent games.

But you still need some form of classification, Don't need young kids playing the more violent games. Doesn't matter because they'll play them anyways. You said that people were raised on light stuff, that's probably how the kids feel. Parents could just get off of their asses and read about what's in the game with review guides and sites designed specifically for that. Kids who want to play adult stuff will get their hands on it, and the ratings/press makes it more tempting. Right now these boards just serve as a means to keep the dumb government from coming in and taking over for political points, but they're political.

Well I definitely agree there, I'd say parents relying on these rating systems are doing exactly that don't you think? There are many sites which give accurate descriptions of everything in a game. The problem is these labels are just slapped on there and you don't know what to actually expect if you aren't familiar with the games to begin with (parents).
