You can pick SF3 Chun and Ryu as well. I've never heard of this before now. www.eventhubs.com/news/2015/mar/10/new-sf-game-japan-lets-you-pit-sf3-ryu-against-sf4-chun-li-3v3-fights-street-fighter-battle-combination-launches-march-30/Street Fighter Battle Combination, an Android and iOS card battle RPG app that Capcom announced way back in 2013, is finally ready for release.
The free-to-play game with microtransactions will launch on Android devices in Japan on March 30, while the iOS version is expected to be released sometime this Summer.
The game has undergone a number of design changes since its December 2013 closed beta test, and is now being pitched as a Street Fighter that anyone can play, since it eschews the complicated directional commands used in the fighting games, in favor of single-tap controls that will allow players to perform attacks for their favorite fighters simply by tapping on the desired move. Another key feature in Street Fighter Battle Combination is the ability to select legacy versions of the playable fighters -- such as the SF3 iterations of Ryu and Chun-Li -- and pit them against the default SF4 characters. It was not mentioned, however, if SF3 character sprites would be used, or if the SF3 iterations of these fighters will instead be rendered with SF4 character models (performing SF3 moves).
Along with a release date announcement, Capcom has also released a first trailer for the game. Although the game appears to be turn-based, the fights here highly resemble those in the mobile version of Street Fighter 4; see it for yourself below.
