So there's always a ton of hype over alleged leak lists for fighting games, particularly Street Fighter, that gets people talking about who they'd love to have. But who do you guys think WON'T make it in? Not necessarily people you don't want to see in, but anyone you just don't think has much of a shot and why.
Personally, Dhalsim is one character I don't see returning for a number of reasons. Quite frankly, with the way the game is shaping up, I can see him getting slaughtered by the entire cast in one way or another. There's tons of ways for the cast to get around projectiles and heavy zoning, chip damage builds up over times which makes holding down back for an extended period of time very risky. Dhalsim always had trouble breaking out when he got opened up, and now it seems like he'd be punished even harder for playing as he always does. Plus, if you want to get into storyline reasons, his role has never really been all that significant in SF's overall story, despite his many years of being in the games, and if this whole Illuminati Vs Shadowloo thing is real, then I just don't see room in the game for him.
Another is Q. I actually like Q quite a bit, but for some reason or other, the folks at Capcom just don't want to pretend he exists for one reason or other. I remember him being deconfirmed outright when SFxTekken was still being developed, which is never a good sign for any character. He just seems like someone they'd rather forget for some reason, making him unlikely to show up ever again.
What do you guys think?

Well there are a ton of characters that won't get in due to roster size, but some of the more common ones I'll discuss. Dhalsim might not get in. Super specialized characters don't seem in place in this game. We don't need every character to be super versatile in every case, but characters who lose at the character select automatically end up having problems competitively. Many people also find him annoying. People are expecting Guile on 9/11. I'm not sure about him since we already have Charlie, and while it's always possible I'm leaning towards him being around later if anything. I doubt the other dolls will come back. How do you feel about Ingrid?

Ingrid i'm..iffy on. I wouldn't mind having her, but all of her apperances have been in non-canon crossover titles so far where it's more acceptable for her to be some all powerful goddess. In a canon, mainline street fighter game, I really can't see her in despite her popularity unless she sees quite a few changes to her design.
Guile I'm kind of iffy on too actually. I think he has a better chance than Dhalsim, but characters who only really specialize in one area do seem to be taking a back seat in 5.
Edit: And I don't know why, but I always liked the Dolls. But I'm not expecting any of them either, even though I really did like Decapre in IV.

Hmm...I like Sodom too actually, and I believe he's been teased every now and then in a few games. I'm not too sure honestly. He's in this weird spot with me where I wouldn't mind him, but at the same time I think other characters are more deserving of a spot first over him(Alex,Urien, etc.) He definitely fits the game, since he has a lot of unique moves and properties to him. I guess I just want to see other people more than him.

I wouldn't expect him to be in the beginning roster, but who knows down the line? Maki could also use a return too. I wouldn't mind Urien and Alex, but I'm not sure. Some say they don't want SF3 characters around as much early on. What are your thoughts?

Maki is cool, damn near anyone who uses tonfa's are in my book. It's weird with SF3. Very popular series among many people within the FGC, but didn't really gel with more casual fans at all for a good number of reasons. Urien would be great, seeing as how this game seems to have a lot of subtle hints to Illuminati. Alex would be great, he's a popular character who hasn't been seen in a main game for years. Outside of them, though, it gets iffy. We've already had Dudley, Elena, Makoto, and Ibuki quite a bit. Twelve and Q don't have much personality or flair, and as much as I like Twelve I don't see him making it in at all. Necro I think would be a solid replacement for Dhalsim and Blanka all at once, and could be tied into whatever story V is going for somehow. Remy I would personally love but he's also not very popular, even though I think he's more versatile than Guile. Sean has a good chance, and Oro a slightly lesser but still good chance

Then you have people who just hate it and say they're Darkstalker characters. I think the more conventional characters have more of a shot of getting in. I'm not sure if the Necro style characters will get in though. Do you think T. Hawk will make it?

Sadly, I think T.Hawk has a very VERY little chance of making it in. He was never popular, appeared only in a few games, and never had much of a role in any of them. Dee Jay is pretty much in the same boat. They're both characters who haven't really seen much development who are simply outshined by a lot of other people in the series.
SF3 is certainly divisive. I think many more people can appreciate it now, but at the end of the day, there aren't too many characters left really worth revisiting.

Oro is REALLY unique. Was a lot of fun to play as in SF3 and is even good for a few laughs. He has a bit of a following for sure, but I fear it just might not be as big as others like Karin, R.Mika, Alex, etc. He was practically a SFV character already though, so it would be great to have him again, especailly if he can still smack people around with trash.

If we don't know the time of the story, we might not have a reason for Oro just yet. Yun or Yang could get in though.

Yeah, they have a decent amount of popularity, and they could serve to have some new moves and tricks added to them. At the same time, I'm kind of hoping we get a new stance based kung fu fighter in place of Gen to shake things up too. I like Yang more personally, especially in third strike.

Both to be honest. He's cooler headed and patient, which suits me more, and while offensive it doesn't feel like I'm mashing mindlessly when I play him. I feel like I'm on speed whenever I try to play Yun.

I usually have a lot more trouble with Yun, then Akuma. Especially in IV when it feels like everything combos with him. Red Focus only made it worse, too. Ugh.

Yeah..I don't wanna be salty when I get hit with the dive kick a million times but it's soooo hard not too. I don't even have trouble with Rufus's dive kicks like I do with Yun. I won't be too upset if he and yang don't make it in. I like them, but I'd rather some other people get some overdue time to shine.

Yeah.
I'm feeling more confident in the remaining launch roster. 8 returning characters means there's only two more Classics to see.

The fighting game gods have blessed us once again with the return of Karin Kanzuki. This also makes those leaks by Siliconera even more likely than before. At this point, I have to say it's really possible. And even if they aren't in the initial roster, i can easily see them being some of the first DLC.
I'm really impressed with what they've done with Karin. She's looking really legit with her kung fu.

She still looks good though. Will you main her?
