Why would the egg come first? I'm curious. Because animals were laying eggs long before Chickens had evloved.

Very easy, in terms of evolution it's the egg, in terms of creation it was the chicken. Unless you mean the Chicken's egg. But according to creation it was all around at the same time. Unless someone wants to spend time proving to me how the world came out of nowhere. I'll be here.

If the chicken egg did come first, what laid the egg?

The truth is...no one will ever know. I personally think the chicken came 1st. I think God made the animals before he made the eggs.

Yeah, I mean the chickens' egg. I think the animal evolved into the chicken, not into an egg. Unless the creature layed an egg and out came a chicken, but the other way seems more plausible

I have no idea but would any chicken have it's own egg or is it the eggs' own chicken.

Also, shouldn't there have been another egg with a chicken to reproduce. Now what are the odds of a reptile having two chickens

That makes since but it makes the scientific explanation sound kinda crazy.

I think 'egg' would be the answer.
The genetic mutation would appear in the offspring of a non-chicken, meaning that non-chicken parents would lay an egg that a chicken would hatch out of because that generation is the one that crossed the 'chicken genome' line.

Wouldn't it have to mate with another chicken? If it didn't wouldn't the offspring just be a half breed?

Wouldn't it have to mate with another chicken? If it didn't wouldn't the offspring just be a half breed? Depends on if your logic is evolutionary or not.

Ya know, even though I never trully believed in evolution I always thought in some twisted way that it made sence but having this conversation makes me think that it doesn't. Too many parts of the evolution theory just doesn't make sence.

The non-chicken that laid the egg is just before the evolutionary line into 'chicken'. The egg displays the final and first genetic alteration that makes it a chicken.

Too many parts of the evolution theory just doesn't make sence. Well it all gets subjective, but if it *is* an evolutionary argument and it doesn't specify the egg, then the egg came first.
