I like the mickey mouse club example and it's a new perspective. As a former socialist myself, I would actually love for capitalism to win the moral high ground because it would cement the fact that I choose the right side.

I like the analogies but I'm definitely not a moralist. I go by what's pragmatic. Freedom leads to more prosperity and people can live their life the way they choose.

The problem with morals is that everyone has their own subjective of morality and what's right. It varies from person to person, culture to culture, and time period as well.

Slavery, genocide, etc were all considered "moral" by another group. In reality people just do what's in their own self interest and then justify it.

It's appealing to use morality and it sells so well because it makes people "feel good" about themselves. The problem is people will just justify things. If you mention stealing is wrong, they'll say "We'll you don't care about others and want them to die! I'm caring!"

Same with enslaving others.

Hell look at MisterLC. In his mind he's the most caring person while I'm just evil and selfish even though he just sits around on his ass taking from others.
