Which graphics card is superior? Also, typo: Radeon* Nvidia costs more but more games tend to be compatible with it and work with it easier. AMD costs less however. If you're savvy and want to save a few bucks go for it. I just go Nvidia and get my stuff at a great price. Win/win.

So, for Direct X 12 AMD might have some advantages? I've had some comparability issues only for some odd ball games like Sonic Generations and Binary Domain, but it seems most games run compatible with Nvidia.

Tomb Raider was definitely AMD friendly. I definitely agree with doing your research before buying anything. I will say that I play several generations of games old and new so that is also something to consider.

I dont think compatible is a good word to use when comparing graphics cards since 99% of PC games will work on amd and nvidia gpus. The issue is not if they work but how well they perform vs eachother. When a PC game doesn't work with a certain gpu(s) is a very rare situation that's most likely to happen with very old titles.

Well both cards will work but some cards have more problems on certain games for sure, or even on different programs or emulators. Also like you said some games perform better with certain cards.
I haven't seen a game not work at all with a card (if that happens it gets fixed), but I have known games that have issues with certain brands. In the past I've generally seen it safer with Nvidia, though this seems to be changing and AMD is indeed cheaper.
