Maybe it's just me, but as I get older I find myself less and less interested in difficult games. I don't want games to be too easy either, but I don't like having to grind and grind just for one game. I don't have the time and I rather do something else than "master" a game. I'm starting to appreciate more easy games and lower barriers of entry.

I don't like dumb down games, but I hate artificial difficulty and games that require massive commitment and grinding.

Old games were challenging for sure, but they weren't loaded with fake content and grinding or fake longevity. You could play more RPG type games or something more thought based.
My problem come with games being half finished personally.

I'm playing agme called evil within and there are so many one hit bosses combined with bad camera angles. It's annoying.

I hate how the tutorial mode is still garbage in sFv. Making a game too inaccessible creates a very cliquish community.

You can see the elitism now. It's odd because they said they were catering this game to newer players but the tutorial is pointless. Why can't they do what their competition is doing?

I used to be an elitist my self, but I dropped that crap because too many times it's about making things unnecessarily difficult as a badge of honor. Why can't Capcom make a tutorial mode for new players? It's 2016 and I still have to watch fan made tutorials.

The problem isn't difficulty. I love challenging stuff. It's poorly designed difficulty that's the problem. Or a difficulty made by keeping information that should be easy to get hidden.
That said as people get older they start to have other priorities and can't game 60 hours a week so they just want something accessible, so it makes sense.
