Bernie sanders handed the democratic president nomination spot to Hillary when he failed to attack her over the email scandals. Either Bernie didnt want to win the nomination which i dont understand why you would put so much effort into something you are not trying to win or it is all a ploy to make it seem as though the people actually have a choice. Trump is popular cause its the bottom of the 9th for america who is losing badly and swinging for the fences because of desperation. The GOP threatening to split up over if trump wins the nomination would be interesting to see and a historical moment in america.

The whole thing is desperation and people say they want something new.

Bernie did seem like he was really legitimate and like he wanted to do it. He's a socialist but he seems more legit than Hillary. I don't know why people aren't pushing such an obvious spot. Odd because I haven't heard many people talking about Hillary later and Sanders seems popular.

Ben Carson has kind of tapered off it seems.

What do you think of the whole Oscar thing?

I dont watch the oscars or any of the award shows whether its for movies or music since for music especially the music i listen to doesn't get any air time anyway. The movie genres i watch usually dont get oscar nominations anyway.

I have to agree. I stay away from mainstream stuff as much as possible.

They were basically saying the Oscars are racist against blacks and he was mentioning why that isn't true.

One thing that has always bothered me about american politics is why does a country that has a diverse population in terms of religion, race, economic standings etc only have 2 major political parties to choose from. It would seem that with all the political freedom we "supposed" to have there would be many more political parties to choose from other than the elephant and donkey.

Other countries have many parties that can be quite different than each other in some cases, what we have here is a two party system where they are basically just about the same thing: large government in different forms. People have been brainwashed to accept this government system and anything outside of this will be seen as unusual or "weird". It's hard enough trying to get elected as a libertarian without being seen as over the top.

Yep. Basically a 2 headed bird with the same body. You think people would have learned by now that they are being played by both sides into thinking they are truly different.

Some new politician comes around promising "change" and it starts all over again. Like Peter said that's why Trump and Sanders are popular over the usual establishment types.
