But look at the big picture jobs are being created. Even though they are part time low wage jobs all person has to do is get 2 or 3 part time jobs to make a wage similar to a full time job and as a bonus you get to expand your network by meeting more interesting people since you have more jobs at different places

I'm surprised no mainstream news agency hasn't tried to put that kind of spin on the job situation.

Guess i gave the msm too much credit finance.yahoo.com/news/houston-oil-workers-may-face-060743092.html. This economy is in a horrible catch22 situation. Oil prices low people in that industry lose jobs and companies go under but non oil workers save at the pump. Prices go high and people in oil industry keep their jobs but others pay more at the pump so less money in their wallet which leads to less consumer purchases and creates a snowball effect that ends with businesses downsizing or closing etc.
