It might be cheesy but it's still as effective as a ring out in anything else. Surfer doesn't going around clobbering things, would he transmuting Superman be considered "Pussy", because that's like using a high powered gun in a fistfight.

I have a point too, what could Hulk do to Superman? He absorbs more sunlight in desperate times. Transmuting is like having a gun in a fistfight. BFR is throwing a child out of a room when they are having a temper tantrum?

Hulk can't touch Superman, so he can't win either... my point was that Supes could win that way with less effort, not whether it was a desirable tactic.

Honestly, Superman is just too fast for Thor. While Supes should be susceptible to the magic of his Uru hammer. It won't matter if he doesn't hit him I guess. A combination of Heat vision and Speed Blitz would give Thor hell. But, could Thor absorb the Sunlight from his body or BFR him with his Hammer.

That is basically what it comes down too, Superman is simply too fast for normal Thor to take on. If they had even speed, or it was another version of Thor, then it would be a different story. How do you feel about Odin vs. Thor?

Can't Thor BFR Supes, Absorb his solar energy or create Kryptonite to slow him down? Odin has restricted or outright taken Thors power away. I don't see what Thor could do to win unless he is Rune King Thor.

I don't think he could do it at a high enough scale to stop Superman.

Really? I mean Thor has displayed energy manipulation on the scale of Surfer.

Edit: Then again Surfer is fast enough to hang with Supes. Well, at least in theory, because I've never seen surfer display adequate combat speed.

I was just reading a thread on that last night, Surfer H2h. I'll find some scans when I have the time and see what I can do. Surfer owns Supes because of his power set, and how versatile it is, and his natural durability as well as everything else.

Thor might be that good at energy absorption, I just didn't think it was as fast, Ron would know.

What if surfer was as slow as Thor do you think he'd win then? Because speed seems to be the deciding factor. I don't see any indication that his absorption is any slower than Surfers. Also, is Thor allowed his time manipulation, because he has frozen time in a respective area. If he does he should stop supes in his tracks and BFR him.

I don't know I've just seen more Surfer absorption feats than Thor's so I could very well be wrong. Surfer just has such a high amount of natural durability and versatility with his powers, not to mention cosmic awareness. That allows him to find Supes weakeness easily.

I know what thread I want to make. Capitan Universe Spiderman vs. Superman. It was general consensus that CU Spidey would win, but Supes fanboys were changing their minds later.

But unlike Surfer he lacks the speed to make it effective and the Cosmic Awareness to just know. Standard rules do allow basic knowledge of each other, So, that could help Thor figure out his weakness. Here are some energy manipulation feats for Thor:

I'm just going by the fact that Surfer could absorb stars and planets. Does Thor have anything like that?

I don't think surfer has ever fully absorbed a star in it's entirety just a fraction of it's power and he's maxed out by doing so in certain instances or come close to it in others.

Thors absorbed the energies of the Null bomb which when detonated could destroy a galaxy. Not only did he absorb all it's energy he redirected some of it and resurrected a dead star.

Furthermore he's created a mystic barrier cable of shielding from a blast that can destroy a fifth of the Marvel Universe:

I'm pretty sure that Thor respects supes too much to use his hammer in order to BFR or Absorb supes solar reserves. He would most likely limit himself and fight it out with his principle of honor. I dunno if supes would do the same with some of his "cheaper abilities" though. But, if he does Thor could use his.
