They fell for it two times. I did think Wells did a great job in season 1 for his role. It was the best part of the show for me I believe.

Currently, I feel like they're dragging their feet also the metas for this season so far haven't been too crazy. Though, I did live the episode with Mirror Master.

Season 2 had like 3 speedster villains. So, it's not so bad.

Basically, it was the whole: "The main bad was someone close to you all along" bit they've done since season 1 & 2. Perhaps, it will pick up again but it's definitely the weakest of the CW cape shows this season.

It was outstanding in season 1 and they made it clear Reverse Flash was bad then.
