The PS3 will do fine. The Wii will do fine as well. The Xbox...is Dreamcast. The 360 I still think will win. Basically because of Gears of War that just came out which is an amazing game and the fact that Halo 3 which is when most 360s will begin to sal like hot cakes

That's my point, Xbox goes as far as Halo takes it. It isn't getting the press like ps3's and causing wars. PS3 IS the hottest toy this year and it hasn't been out.

What do you mean it hasn't been out? It has been out for a couple of weeks. Plus, the PS3 isn't doing to well. It is getting pretty bad ratings by its owners. Plus, a friend of mine says his brother lives in Colorado, and Wal-Mart still has some PS3s.

Or causing as much publicity.

Wii is doing a lot better than PS3. I believe the customer satisfaction on the PS3 is 10%. To do well PS3 needs some good games because the games suck on PS3. Besides "Resistance", the only other games to get good ratings are multiconsole sports games.

Besides "Resistance", the only other games to get good ratings are multiconsole sports games. Of course it's going to do better, PS3 JUST came out, it won't be peak this season. It wil catch up in the following year. Wii is only going to do better for a second, and PS3 will eventually catch up and beat it, PS3 is the toy of the year, that can't be argued of it's demand. There are never complaints with Nintendo because most of the players are diehard. You could take a waffle with a Nintendo logo and people would say it is innovative, take Sony and do the same thing and it's horrible. But Nintendo always does good first and ends poorly when they no longer have Samus/Link/Mario to rely on, just like the N64 and GC. They were both pretty much failed systems.

I do not think it will do well later. It so hard to program games for it, that developers are not really interested in making games for it. On the other hand the Wii is incredebly simple to program. So there are going to be a lot more games coming out for it.

If sony is smart and does what they've done before they'll be fine. If they do a PSP they won't. Wii needs to do something new. Nintendo isn't a bad system at all, or even overrated to me, it has good characters and all, their fanboys make me want to pull my hair out though.

What gets me mad is when I hear people from Sony talk about the PS3, and they do not know anything about the Wii.
Nic Foster, general manager for Sony Australia & New Zealand, told the Sydney Morning Herald. "Wii is a core gaming device. It's a more fun, intuitive sort of product to pick up, where the PS3 is a broader entertainment solution; so you can have your fun, enjoyable gaming…but then you have a whole suite of other applications...such as Blu-ray media playback, the ability to access your music, access your photos and the interoperability with the PlayStation Portable
He obviously doesn't know anything about the Wii because it can access music and photos. The Wii will be able to do things with the DS.

I honestly don't go too far in these early on anyways, but everyone is trying to get their hands on a PS3, something even I didn't expect to this extent, I expected to be a bit cold when it first debuted.

Listen to the radio or news, it's in such high demand that people are limited in the amount they can even sale. It's the highest in demand, most hate on it because they can't afford it. It's nigh impossible to get your hands on one, and they are usually over a grand online.

Don't care what anyone says. I like my 360, and I think it kicks much ass. Definately has the best game lineup.
Gears of War and Dead Rising > Whatever is out right now.

It's in high demand...sure but it's not doing as well as the Wii.
The Wii is winning and the Xbox will not do well unless they pick up the program a little. They aren't going to be able to survive on Halo alone anymore. And Gears of War will figure that out as well. So far Xbox is building support based on shooting games. They'll run out of support fairly quickly playing only those cards. They need to get the next Ninja Gaiden made and put out quickly to keep things going.
PS3 will get their act together soon or they will most likely die in the holiday season.
Wii is not just winning on the Nintendo games. GEEZ!! I get sick of hearing that. The word is that 3rd party games are more fun on it as well. The new Madden game is said to be more fun on the Wii than on any other system. The new Rayman game is a total blast and Marvel Ultimate Alliance is said to control really well on it. 3rd party will catch on. They always do. And as far as the Gamecube not ending well....I think someone forgot Resident Evil 4 and The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. Or Fire Emblem or ... well. I could keep going but there's not really any point.
Even if I was a Nintendo only fan (and I'm not) there wouldn't be a thing wrong with that. They make good games. They make good racing games, good sports games, good fighting *cough* games, good *cough* rpgs, good adventure whatever. They are excellent game makers.

They make good racing games, good sports games, good fighting *cough* games, good *cough* rpgs, good adventure whatever. They are excellent game makers. Of course it isn't doing as well as the Wii right now, why would it, it's only shipped about 400,000 units and that's about it, only a novice would say they would win this season, they won't pick up into next year. Consoles don't win on console sales alone, they win on game sales. (Especially since this one is so damned expensive, which is the determining factor, or else Nintendo would really have no chance). Consoles that cost much don't need to sale as many units, Xbox has the most because it's been out longer. Gamecube had to cut their prices severly because they were losing the war, they had RE4, but that didn't matter because Sony got it too. They didn't have GTA or Halo when they were at war (and I don't like either game), so they just had first party. I think Nintendo is fun, but if they continued what they were doing, chances are they'll be screwed and more of a niche market like each oncoming generation. Usually people that get the Nintendo console have had the previous ones, and nothing else. They do make good games but they still have to branch out more, more third party, they have good third party, just not enough of it. You can't really compare something that came out a few weeks to something that has been out much longer. PS3 is still the hottest toy this year hands down. Consoles don't hit their peak the first few months, well except Nintendo; they hit their peak then they die out later on usually. We'll see this time around, the games make the system. And there's nothing wrong with a fan, I just hate fanboys, Nintendo ones tend to be the worst. Personally I don't like fighting or shooting on GC, the buttons are too awkward for me and my large hands. I'm still not sure if I'm going to get one, because now games seem to be alot of the same thing, but I was thinking of a PS3 about a year or so later, (which is what most people do, especially with an expensive system).

Fighting games suck on the Nintendo but I coughed because they made Smash Bros and that's just fun.
Shooters can work on the GC but they rarely did. They should have thought over the design of the controller a little more but it's alright.
I think the new controllers will make 1st - person shooting a breeze. Or at least it should. Farcry comes out soon. We'll see then.
I'm neither a Nintendo fanboy nor a PS3 fanboy.
At the very core of my being I'm biased against Microsoft. Always have been and always will be. Why? I won't explain why because it would take us so far off topic that it wouldn't matter.
My point for now is that the Wii will change Nintendo's image completely. Before it was a fairly select market (on Gamecube) but that sort of thing was built historically on the 64. Now they intend to ditch the kiddy image but not completely. They have the kiddie games but they'll also have a large dosage of more adult games such as - Red Steel (which isn't all that good but it's a start), The Hammer Project (I think that's what it's called) and some survival game that I can't remember the name of but a lot of people are really excited about. I don't think Nintendo has hit it's peak yet. I think it's a mistake to think that. The technology for the system is too new and all of it's little bonus features have yet to be fully implemented. There's a lot that can still be drawn out of the Wii yet and we haven't even seen the first of it.
I will support the Wii more than the other two because it's more ingenuitive than the others while keeping costs down to a minimum. They're trying to open the market as much as possible and they don't care if it's their system someone buys or someone elses as long as people are looking at the possibility of video games becoming a form of entertainment.

I’ll be honest, while I seem overconfident with Sony I’m still skeptical a bit here and there because of the crazy cost. I was wincing at it at first glance, but to see it be so popular threw me for a spin. I don’t think Nintendo is bad, I don’t think it’s bad at all. I love my SNES and I think it’s the best Nintendo system. I just think they need to do something new, which they are trying to do. But I don’t mean silly innovation like odd controllers or whatnot, I mean actual good games with good controls, and a solid library of all around. Because if we remember, Sony had the worst specs but did the best last war. I just can’t stand some of the hypocrisy I get from Nintendo fans, they can use backwards capability and discs, and that’s fine, but anything Sony does is horrid. Just like Wolverine I’m usually after the fans than the console. I like when I know people with a Sony and Nintendo and I can play both. But all of my friends and family went to Sony eventually.
I liked the classic Smash bros best, but Nintendo makes horrid controls for their games, which is why they had the horrid GC-ism, which I think is an insult to people who like to actually perform their moves.
Just terrible, Playstation just had the best parallel controls to me.
We shall see.
I don’t think you are one you seem to like them all.
Don’t worry about it, so many people hate sony now too.
That’s what they need to do, they can’t afford to lose another war, so they need to actually listen to the fans and stop making kiddy games. They need to focus on sports, and they seem to want to do that. There is a lot to be drawn out of Sony as well, since it’s new, but I’m not sure about Xbox.
I’m going with Sony more due to the library of games and the versatility it has. I can go and play all my games I had with little problem, the costs are very high this time but you do pay for what you get. I’m still shocked it’s doing well, but then again most people are just buying it to sell for triple profit. When it get’s released in other countries we’ll see; it’s still too early. But Sony has gained some great momentum.

It won't come close to having the power and capabilities of what Sony's system or Microsoft's system will do though.

Hey, that works for me. We get two perspectives that way.
On the topic of controls. From what I understand so far the Wii's controls take a little getting used to but are more fun by far than any form of controls we've seen thus far. And fun is really where it's at in my opinion but if they don't give me a good selection of Capcom games I'm going to be pissed!
