Hey, that works for me. We get two perspectives that way. On the topic of controls. From what I understand so far the Wii's controls take a little getting used to but are more fun by far than any form of controls we've seen thus far. And fun is really where it's at in my opinion but if they don't give me a good selection of Capcom games I'm going to be pissed! I don't too much care myself how "fun" or "interesting" a controller works, I just want convienence, which is why the Playstation and SNES controllers are my fave. And even in Playstation- I have a very special controller I use for fighting games. It's just made for my hands.

You do not want to move more than just your thumbs and index fingers?

I'm trying to say that I play games to actually maneuver and use good controls, not to play twister with them, that's stupid. I play PC all the time, but for fighters and shooters button placement is paramount. No excuse for a game to have bad controllers.

Not all games are going to use the Wii-mote. Certain games require a normal type of controller (Super Smash Bros. Brawl for example). If they were to have a SF game people would just use the GCN controller or the Virtual console controller. If you haven't seen the controller you can see it here. (I would prefer the VC controller for that).

It was neat that David had that modding that let you use the logitech controller for the Playstation.

To do well PS3 needs some good games because the games suck on PS3. Besides "Resistance", the only other games to get good ratings are multiconsole sports games. do consoles ever have extremely well doing games in the beggining?....not really, i wus quite pissed when i got the 360, and there were barely ne games i wanted.....year later......i must have them....

No, consoles don't hit their peak in the beginning, that's absurd. Like I said except Nintendo, they (in the past) have had their strides in the beginning.

I'm getting tired of people saying Halo can't carry the 360 of course it can it has already proved this. There isn't another game out like it that has even remotley hit such a hard core gaming and untapped resource in people killing eachother online.
PS2 tried to hit this with killzone but it didn't work.
The 360 has been out now and I feel that it by far has the best shot at winning. Because it is the most affordable with the highest graphics possible. Sony may be in high demand but trust me there is a difference between demand and sales. It's high price is very well going to be a huge turn off for lower oncome families who would rather buy the 360 for cheaper and still get basically the same quality of graphics.
As for Games 360 hasa very good selection Oblivion and has even gotten Final Fanatsy on board which is huge. It came out first so it already has a good foundation to start with as it got those people who simply wanted t have the cooliest new consle fast. And many people planned onsaving up to buy one when Halo 3 comes out for it and buying them at the same time.
That is when the 360 will really start to sale and take over the market. I haven't seen a game more wanted right now then Halo 3. Along with the blockbuster Gears has been which will help hold it over till Halo 3 I think 360 just has the most potenial market to be the biggest sucess right now.

Any company wanting to live off of one game is just wasting alot of resources and good marketing. Xbox lost last war because of this. And other games have had more success than Halo, and are much less overrated. Halo is a good game, a great game, but it's just alot of polish. I need other things with innovation and lots of genres and titles, that's why PS1 and 2 had the wins, now Nintendo is realizing their folly and going in that direction, a game needs to be versatile, and have quality AND quantity, not just one. And definitely not just quality.

And definitely not just quality. Yes bit very few of those games are nearly the marketing power that Halo 3 are. Halo is widely spread among many different age groups and nationalities as well. You could be a 16 year old American playing a 37 year old German over X-Box live and it is one of those games that keep saleing long after marketing for it has gone dry. People still buy X-Boxes only for Halo. Of course like I said 360 also has a bunch of other games and has even gotten the Final Fantasy series on it which is one of PS's biggest money makers. It's just something that is going to happen and along with the solid foundation it has already gotten and with it's better days still ahead it's hard to say that it doesn't have the clear cut advantage in this war.

One thing I realized about the Wii is that it has and is getting a lot of good Wii only games. The PS3 is going to have good games coming out, but thing is that those games are multi-console. The 360 has FF: XI and Oblivian, but those are mult-console games as well. Yet, the 360 has a lot of other good games as well. I think 360, and the Wii have the advantage.

The one reason that ppl have chosen the Wii, is mainly because it's PURE FUN, the ppl who choose the Wii, chose it because they're not concerned with Graphical power of the console........tho it does make it more nice to look at, alot of ppl go for gameplay, not LOOK of gameplay
me....i like both....that's y i choose....all 3...lol, i like the 360, it has awsome games.....and now 2 games that r going to carry it [Halo, and Gears of War]
i like the PS3, just cause it's open source....the entirety of the software is open source...that kicks ass, and the fact that it's just plain powerful....extremely powerfull, i meen, i haven't gotten it yet, but it's already devising ways to kill me
the Wii, download past games, fuck ya, pure fun...fuck ya.......the ability to break ur hand or valuble items around ur house by just PLAYING the games.....i've been wanting to do that for ages

Then there are games like Half Life which aren't concerned and just take their time with the game, making sure it's near perfect.

It makes people not expect anything else, which can be bad, what if a Halo Killer does come out? What would they have then?' Killzone was very fun to me though, it shouldn't be made as a Halo Killer, I find the characters more interesting myself. Helghast baby!

I'm not too familiar with the etiquette regarding bumping older threads on a smaller forum, so feel free to whine about seeing this nine-month old cadaver.
------
This whole console war has been a complete joke to be honest. Nintendo's been acting like a bunch of tards since they decided to run away with their head in their hands from the "threat" of Microsoft and Sony cramping in their style, resulting in that silly little Wii device. Of course, Microsoft barely even had to lift a finger with their new one - just had to say the magic words and the dollars comes screaming in.
That all brings us to you know who - our good old pals at Sony. How wonderful it was to see them dig their own graves so deep, almost like they had just discovered the landscaping possibilities of the rocket launcher in Red Faction and decided to find out just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Yeah ladies, "selling less is great; it means we have less money to lose". But hell, at least they're optimistic...

I don't know why they thought making machines that expensive was a good idea... if they would have stuck to the same formula they would have been fine.
