That trick was so lame. I have to say, though, Psycho Mantis was probably the most interesting boss I've ever played against. That game was very annoying though. I rented it, and around the beginning of the game, there's a part where you have to know a certain number and they hint that it's on "a box" or something. So after trying to look all over the place for a number on a box, I check a walkthrough and it turns out the number is on the game box... How do they expect me to have that if I rented the game?... I managed to get it anyway though after looking at another walkthrough.

You can hit Psycho Mantis but it's really, really hard. It's practically impossible to beat him without switching ports. Walkthroughs aren't necessarily cheating.... Okay yeah they are but so what?

Don't get me wrong, I love reading the really long and in detail ones, just when I'm finished. The ones on Duke and BG are excellent.

I've already skimmed through the FF XII one, but the way that game is set up I can't imagine anyone beating it in any other way.

Ugh. Yes. Battletoads was a nightmare but not nearly as bad as Ninja Gaiden.

I only use walkthroughs occasionally, not to beat the whole game. And right now I'm using some guides a lot to make my characters in tales of symphonia super. I spent a lot of time killing penguins yesterday. You'd be proud.

There we go. I believe that's it.
It doesn't matter because there was more and even that doesn't matter because we're supposed to be discussing hardest game bosses not hardest games.

The biking one wasn't so bad with memory. But since noone here has done the Queen (lol) we can't really cover her (lol). Old games were more "cheap" than "hard"

But then again, they didn't have alot of options and the ability to make good strategy like today. So it was amp the damage and give them uber reflexes and mind reading abilities.
Which I still hate today, I'm not even too fond of damage increase to be honest. #tv_horror#

Because it's a cheap way to make a game harder, it doesn't say alot about creativeness. They should increase actual tactics. That makes it more worthwile and a good challenge, with good satisfaction.

It really depends on what you mean by 'hardest', cause I'm thinking of bosses that you have to figure out how to kill, but it's nearly impossible without a walkthrough or a hint. E.g. The End from MGS3 and those damn Colossi from 'Shadow of the Colossus'. But of course, the second time through you can whoop them easily.
If you mean just plain difficult to take down... well, have you ever played 'Geist'? There is an old guy in a chair. Unfortunately, his lifebar is like eight gazillion. If the game froze, and he was just stuck in one location, not moving around and firing rockets at you, and you could freely unleash ammo into his ass, it would take like ten minutes to beat him. Crazy.

I remember playing shinobi on extreme mode and hating that dog guy. He kept on charging his health like mad, so you had no choice but to kill him in one strike, and anyone who fought his dogs, knew how much of a pain that was.

video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5540108769232290872&q=kazzak+stormwindwww.wowinsider.com/2006/11/14/wow-moviewatch-kazzak-does-stormwind/Lord Kazzak is an outdoor raid boss who can be found in the Blasted Lands -- he sends out a nasty AOE shadowbolt attack that does not follow line of sight and cannot be dodged, and whenever he kills someone, he heals 70,000 health. Yes, now you're starting to imagine the level of trouble such a demon might cause when unleashed upon Stormwind City. And, yes, this is probably why Lord Kazzak is now leashed in the Blasted Lands. Plus, whenever Kaz has more than 40 targets he goes Supreme Mode, which you can see when he starts his AOE SB every second. World of Warcraft [Mar2005] - Lord Kazzak is lured into Stormwind by the [Horde] and destroys Stormwind within 1.5 hours. After this event the server is [reset] and a rollback was performed by Blizzard. blog.roadsidediner.com/index.php?/archives/34-Answer-to-a-question.htmlLord Kazzak must be killed within 3 minutes or else it will turn into an invincible monster. For every kill it will get so many HP that it can't be beaten by anyone. Luring him into Stormwind, basically destoryed Stormwind. I put in a couple of links - I dunno which one will work best for you. I don't know how good the quality of the videos are, but I'm sure you'll get the idea!
