I'm not liking Nintendo that much anymore. One, for making such crappy hardware. My Wii quites working every other week. First the controller quites functioning with the Wii. Next the Wii thinks the system memory is corrupted. After ten times of turning the Wii on and off it starts working again. Also, my Wii will suddenly freeze every now and then. Also, there is their WiFi USB device. It stops working every few days! I have to unplug it, and then plug it back it to get it working again. Now I have to hit the thing to get the light on it to turn on again. I am very surprised about how quickly I got bored of their new controller.
Next there is the channels. The only good channel is the web browser, because that is the only useful thing. Then there are the news and weather channels. How many places can we get that information now. It just isn't needed. Nintendo once said that they didn't make the Wii capable of DVD playback because just about everyone has a DVD player now. Well, most people have TV and and/or internet which people can get news and weather off of, so why have those two pointless channels.
Finally there are the games. Mario has about 20 games every single year for over 20 years it seems. I am sick of him. Seriously, all it seems like Nintendo is doing is making sequels. I don't see them making original games that often now. Why is it if they make a sports game they have to use characters from other games. Just be create, and make new characters. Zelda is good I admit. It is really the only series from them I like.
I could go on, but I already said a lot. Also, sorry for just complaining like this, but I am just very frustrated right now.

Wow. Sorry about your luck but personally Nintendo has done fine by me. I'm inbetween. I felt the new system was just gimmicky anyways, but people wanted to make excuses for Nintendo. I myself love the OLD Nintendo, that means the SNES and NES, those were the best systems IMO. Everything after that just doesn't cut it for me. There might have been a game or two I liked on the newer systems, but that's it. I really only liked Mario 64 and Mario Party 2, but now they are on Mario Party 13 or so... I'm sorry you had such bad luck with yours. When Nintendo fails in what it does best: games and hardware, then it's at a loss.

Really, I don't really think I hate Nintendo. I'm just in a period of frustration right now. In a little bit I'll probably be loving Nintendo again. I just need to calm down.

I'm righting this message on my Wii. That shows how I feel about it.
Honestly the only thing I hate is Mario. I'm really tired of him.

I did too. Once he was turned 3D I started to not like him anymore. Some of my favorite games are my Mario games on the SNES, but I do not like the newer ones.

I actually liked Mario 64, it was a good game, and it was fun finding all of those stars. Did you ever do it? ;D

I have it for the DS, and I strongly dislike that game. I don't like games where you collect things. I guess that is why I didn't like that one part in Wind Waker when I had to collect the shards of the Triforce.

Another thing about the game I didn't like is that it had a lame story. Mario went to eat cake or something, and disappeared. A good story is important for me. I guess that's one of the reasons I like RPGs so much.

Man I hate Nintendo period. I've been not liking them since the very 1st Nintendo. Link is the only cool guy from Nintendo to me, and I'm even beginning to get tired of Zelda. I know if a game is good, it's good, but overration can really make me hate a game, even if it is good. Nintendo is too overrated.

I felt the new system was just gimmicky anyways, but people wanted to make excuses for Nintendo. I'm glad that I'm not the only one that noticed that wii was a gimmick. I argued this several times on KMC, but to no avail. I can say whole heartedly that nintendo fanboys are the worst, I should know since I was one myself. I never got why fanboyism for systems is such an epidemic now. I thought SNES vs Sega master systems was bad. But, compared to now a days, it's ridiculous. Co-signed, even though N64 sucked, it had some good games and I had some good times. SNES is the best though, I rarely pick favourites. But, SNES and Dreamcast are my favorites. Had some great time with those, and I liike Game Boy as well.

I'm mixed when it comes to the new marios games, I liked Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Paper Mario. but, I dislike Ds games peroid, they remind me of games from the PSP -shudders-
As for mario, you have to remember that he comes from an era where gaming did not have deoth. He was one of the first Video Game characters with some sort of depth. I believe that's what the staple of the character is, to remain unchanged in certain aspects. There is only so much change you can do too a vintage character, and less he become like sonic is now a days -Shudders-
If you want depth, play paper mario or Mario Rpg, but generally people who want depth should play Rpg's in general. I like detailed stories as much as the next guy, but sometimes a simple adventure game is good enough for me.

-The Azure Dragon of Gales I like a little of everything, hell most fighting games don't have much story depth at all because they don't need it.

Nintendo fanboys are the most overly defensive people I've ever seen. I used to be one myself, until I realized that the most important thing in gaming is the games. Not over hyped systems that are praised with media sensationalism.

-The Azure Dragon of GalesExactly, which is why sometimes powerful machines don't always win. PS2 had the least specs the last two wars and won. Trying to be the most powerful might not help it if it doesn't get the games. Which I think it has, I think it's more of the cost.

I'm finally changing my opinion about Nintendo now sense they finally came out with a Wii game I like besides Zelda: TP. MP: 3 rocks! Awesome controls, nice artwork, great music etc. It is actually one of the first Wii games that Nintendo made that isn't a port (Zelda, Paper Mario). Also, there is voice acting. Nintendo finally has a game with voice acting.
Congratulations Retro Studios!

Unfortunately I haven't played it. how about samus, does she talk? or is she just a silent protagonist like always?

Samus doesn't talk unfortunately, but I like the game a lot. It has a lot more action, and a lot less backtracking (you can just fly there in your ship). The game is a lot more cinematic too.
Uh oh. At this time this is you 666th post.

I know and cordera's at 6616 now But seriously I think it's a good thing samus doesn't talk. It would be just like if link or mario started talking... very awkward. Remember Isaac from Golden Sun? You had to get used to him talking in the second one because he wasn't the main character anymore.

I've completed 20% of the game, and I haven't gone through an area twice, but I saw a door or two along the way, that I didn't have the right weapon for. I think it might just have been a door to an upgrade though.
