Here's the 360 sales: vgchartz.com/games/game.php?id=16065 All together it's: 966,494 Also, I never said the game was bad. . .I'm just not crazy about it. The sales aren't that great, especially with the hype.

Almost a million, and the sales ARE great. R you kidding? It's SF, not Soulcalibur or Smash Bros. The last SF came out over 10yrs ago and it's a 2D fighter. U tell me win was the last time a 2d fighter sold a mil in a month. Capcom even said they were happy with the numbers and shocked that it's doing this well.
Success means achievement of an objective/goal or the opposite of failure. Not SMASH the chartz and sell like U've been pumping out hit titles 4 the last 10yrs wit the series.

The numbers are doing well, it barely sold over a million. . .How is that well? Has SF redefined well all of a sudden?! We are talking about successful sales, you know the way this game was hyped to death. Where are these sales? In a month yeah and then the sales will keep going down per week until it sells 100 copies a week. What goal have they achieved and what success have they made?

Good sales and success doesn' t mean, 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 copies sold. Good sales and success means PROFIT. They sold and will sale enough copies so that they can get more money back from the product then what they payed 2 create it. Judging from what Capcom THEMSELVES have said, they R well on there way and R even talking about a CE SFIV. I don't no where U get yur N-fo from but a mil N a month is good 4 a game where the company B-hind it thought they wood reach a mil at the end of the year. Capcom seems pretty happy with the product ir.capcom.co.jp/english/news/html/e090223.html

Eh yo, nobody claimed it has to be such a high number. Hell, I wouldn't care if this game sold over a million had it not been for the over zealous claims from Capcom. They made it seem as if it were the second coming of SF2 and that they were crafting some ground-breaking game. Making all sorts of grandiose excuses for making SF4 the way it is. This game has alot of B.S. attached to it. Yet, the game doesn't sell any higher than the average SF game post SF II era?! I just don't see how it lived up to the hype. If those sales equal making it back then the truth is any Street Fighter should have been enough because the sales aren't much different from what SF ususally makes. Hell, Alpha 3 for PSX Jp only sold over 500,000 copies, this game had one good opening in japan and the sales have already tanked.
Also, your article just says they shipped two million copies to stores. . .one million copies have not even been sold yet.

Well, the fact is, the dealers bought 2 million copies. Whether the public buys all 2 million copies in one month or six months is another question altogether. Though undoubtedly, it'll dictate how many more copies Capcom can deliver, they've already effectively sold 2 million.

I've seen instance where dealers sold back their surpluses and if that 2 million does not sale I doubt most dealers won't by more copies.

But we don't no if that will happen, Capcom officially stated that their target shipment was 1.7 million, by the end of 09. I don't feel like finding the links but if U want me 2 I will.

They've already shipped out 2 million copies, I suppose they've reached their target however their sales target is usually high. I'll wait for a year, but I doubt the game will sell 2 milll or even close to that.

Their target is unusually low. It's like 1.2 mil or 1.5. They were not very confident. They think RE 5 is their cash cow.

There target for RE4 was 10 million and there triple A titles make at minimum of 3 million in the last generation.

That is good. I downloaded a bunch of SF remix songs and play'em when I play SFIV. That one will get downloaded as well. Startin'... now sooo, anybody play it yet? Hell yeah! They got tourneys at the GameStops too. No one can beat me though, and I don't even think I'm that good at this game.

dude, what do you think of the AI difficulty? I played arcade today with some friends, watched one play ken straight through on medium difficulty. He got stuck on Seth. I came in, switched to ryu and killed him on my third try. Granted I had been watching how he fights for about ten minutes before that so I kind of understood the dynamic. Then, out of curiosity I tried "hardest" mode while both of them were getting ready to leave, and played through all the way to seth with just one continue from sagat, ryu's rival. I played Seth on hardest, and killed him on my first try in that difficulty. I mean really? c'mon, it took me three tries just to kill him on medium, then when I play hardest I maul him the first time around. Maybe I was just lucky, but I think the AI difficulty is pretty weak, especially for a game that comes after SF3. The AI in SF3 was phenomenal by comparison. And Gill makes Seth look like a total panzy. He is kind of a dickwad with those invincibility frames though.
That said, this game is f%^&ing awesome and I can't wait to get a 360 for it this summer.

Sagat is top tier so you would have better luck. It may or may not be consistent. 3rd strike wasn't too bad, but Gill took the cakeout of all the characters, but he was horribly broken. They aimed to make the characters more balanced this time around. Both of these games are basic in termss of moves compared to Alpha 3 and Capcom vs. SNK2, that you had a multitude of moves and ratios to choose from. But I think that is why the simpler ones like 3rd strike and this might get more arcade time because theya re easier to master for the average person.

I found the AI 2 B strange 4 this game. Even on EZ there R hicups win certain characters appear and play like they R on hardest. I still need 1 continue 4 this game, on hardest 2 medium, with characters I'm not very good with. Seth was VERY VERY hard on the hard and medium difficulties but he is the EZest guy 2 beat now. There is a very EZ strategy 2 beat him, just stand there, wait 4 him 2 miss an attack or just block it and punnish him. U have 2 be close tho. Just do that over and over, U will win and fast. Even 1st timmers can carry out such an EZ plan.

yeah, I noticed if it's one failing the comps have, it's blocking. They don't block well at all.

It's not bad, I will learn 2 like it but I'm just not use 2 it at this point. I have spent years with games like MVC, SFA, SF3 and KOF, that it's still a bit difficult 2 revert back 2 the less speedy and simple tactics. I have 2 get my trap game back up, it's been a while since I played SF2. SF4, while it stands out from SF2, it's still the closest 2 SF2 out of all the other SFs.

I have access to this game since one of my friends have it.
I'm very good with Sakura, and my alternates are Sagat and Crimson Viper.

Seth can play it well, too. I would say Dhalsim, but he lacks the constant offense that Sagat has.
