Sonic is cooler if you think about and the story of mario on G4 did say that Mario was not changing much and very slow but Sonic came and blew him away.

Also Super and Metal Sonic look better than Mario versions anyway.

I liked classic mario, I like Super Mario world and Mario 3, he did a lot of things for gaming. I just find Sonic's gameplay to be better.

They are both good in there own ways, but I prefer sonic. Though, mario is not far behind. My Mario game is the Donkey Kong remake for Gameboy and his orignal classic Arcade based games. That's way back when he was "Jump Man".
