It seems many other people have shoved a thread like this, so I'm making one, too.
Well, as you probably can get from my user info, I'm from a faraway land called Finland that is a small piece of land and lakes right between Russia and Sweden. And no, English is not our official language, we speak the third most difficult active tongue there is (if I recall correctly), so excuse my flawed English.
Again, this is easy to find from my user info, but I'm 18 for a month more and male (hopefully) till the end of my material jaunt here on Earth. Might not sound too eccentric yet, but there is more to come when you read my posts.
I'm into many things, as most of the people are, but there are some things that might get your attention pretty easily. One of them is comics, I'm a fan. Then there's a bunch of different console games I love, especially on Nintendo (NES). Roleplaying definitely qualifies too, free form and D&D. Sue me for being a nerd. Music is my definite addiction, if you could see me, you would see me listening music.
It's not all that easy to elaborate on my odd nature by simply writing a description of it. You have to watch and learn. I'm a spontaneous lad, whichh might not see so obvious to you, because you don't have to suffer from my brainwaves.
You want to know something of me or anything, throw a message here or send me a PM. I have nothing to hide.

That was only a small part of things that I have dedicated myself to. Really, I left out of a lot of things I do daily: writing, debating, politics, sports of different kinds and chatting with nice people, for example.
It's a pleasure to be here, I immediately started to like the forum when I saw pictures of Duke around.

Again, after rebuilding my computer for some 68 billion times I am online again. It is relatively painful with this travesty of a computer, but I nevertheless am ready to bring my unpopular opinions back to the board.
The most annoying thing is that there is absolutely no room for music on my hard drive. It's 18,6gb! What the crap is that supposed to be? That's what you get for being a student and not having money to buy hardware to the computer...
Edit: There was something good about nothing having a computer. I haven't written this much poems and all that for ages. Damn, I already thought I had utterly lost my creativity.

I'm sure there should be some deal for being a student in need of a comp. That sucks to hear, we miss your opinions though...

I suppose I'll be a bit less active again in April when I have my study break and in the beginning of May when I have my finals. God damn, it's going to be difficult. And it's cool to be here, someone has to play devil's advocate every now and then

You wouldn't believe the amount of trouble I've had during the last few months. Since my last visit my computer finally broke down and now I'm working on a laptop I lent from a friend of mine, I've had some serious troubles with the opposite sex, I had my finals, I've been working and my half a year in the army is about to begin in two weeks.
Hopefully this somehow clarifies my unintentional absence. I am trying to be somewhat active for the two weeks I have and then as active as the army allows me to be. Hoe I'm still welcome here.
Sincerely yours,
Tshern

Actually, I've been okay as well and at the moment everything is going decently as well. I have a definite problem of jealousy in my hands and my military service starts in less than two weeks, but still there nothing THAT bad to whine about.
And it's nice to hear you're doing dine, you're a good fellow. Now we'll see how active I can be with no computer of my own...

Life does have to move after all, drama is just one of the bumps on the road.

And, after all, would life be worth living if nothing ever went wrong?

Soooo, no-one remembers me, but I saw C's email and I must say, I had utterly forgotten this forum. I haven't been around for a long while, so I'll fill you in with some stuff that happened. I'll try to keep it short, mates.
-I graduated from an international high school that is regarded to be one of the best pre-university schooling systems. -I am applying to a few different universities. Social politics, social history, economics and statistics are the branches I try to get myself into. -Don't know the exact English term for this, but doctors took some MRIs on my neck and apparently one of my spinal disks (you know, disks between vertebras) is swollen like hell. If I'm lucky I can rehab it, but otherwise I'll be going to a surgery. -I finished my military service. You are looking at a junior officer.
That was about it. Nice to be back and all, there's a lot to read for me in here. Cheers!

Yeah and for the record, if you posted in this forum more than 50 times, your pretty much among the top posters. That, and a lot of your posts were pretty insightful. It'd be pretty hard to forget you.

It'd be pretty hard to forget you. Well it's a consistency thing, honestly there are a few people with a couple hundred posts, but a good number post and vanish from time to time. I think we have about 3 or 4 with a thousand or more now.

Nice to hear my reputation didn't fade away while I was out of business. Right now I have a few months without anything special to do, but I hope I can get a job as soon as possible, just hanging out without money sucks big time. At least I have time to increase my post count like hell and this forum always had something nice to talk about...
Good luck with that operation C!

Found this old pic taken at my former high school and it might tell you a little bit something about my attitude towards studying. Take it easy and never miss a chance to chill out. So, there are no less than three mugs for tea and coffee. The one on the right was mine for normal drinking, the middle one (white with a red heart) is from the 1940's and it's made of metal. Perfect for drinking stuff in the chemistry lab. And the last mug on the left was my friends, he never used it though. In addition to mugs there are other things related to keeping myself awake. Firstly, two huge packs of tea. Secondly, that plastic wrapping there contains biscuits. On the right-hand side, above the red tea box you can see the white lid of my sugar box. Water boiler is not in the picture, I was holding it when when I took this pic just to show you the rest. Behind all this there are two plastic objects. A silvery one and a black one. The silvery one is a PS2 and the black one's Nintendo 64. We had info-TV's all over the school, so bringing consoles there was worthwhile.
