Before I even get a start on the poll for those who might ask where is Dragon Ball AF which isn't real as GT had fans gettiing out of the series so that's what you need to know.
Here's something you do want to know is which anime is the best of them all.
Dragon Ball started the saga from the beginning and was a good anime indeed.
Dragon Ball Z the sequel anime to Dragon Ball and was the longest series out of the three.
Dragon Ball GT the sequel anime to Dragon Ball Z and was the worst of them of all for so many reasons.

Damn right I do first off the creator had little to no involvement with it since it's not based on a manga it was new material it didn't disappoint me on Super Saiyan 4.

I had no idea SSJ4 was weaker than 3.
That's so odd.
I prefer Dragonball myself. The character work wasn't quite as strong as in Z but the plot in general moved at a more successful rate for my tastes.

And it was funnier too, before they worried about power levels.
SSJ4 isn't meant to be weaker I don't believe., it's just portrayed weaker.

DB and DBZ are about equal IMO, with DBZ having better character development and characters in general, but overall DB had better story.

DBZ having better character development and characters in general, but overall DB had better story. That's a true enough statement. Characters in Dragonball didn't appear to have a lot in the way of personality. There are tons of characters from Dragonball I've completely forgotten because their just worthless filler, but it's pretty hard to forget even some of the smaller characters in DBZ. Like Nappa, Burta, Jayce, Recoom, Dodoria, and Nails. But the DBZ storyline was nearly good. It just dropped the ball. They forgot their roots I think.

It's hard to forget the DBZ characters because it took forever to kill them off! #box8yy#

That's true as well. Too often a character is killed and everyone is sad about it even though they could just bring them back to life whenever they want.

You mean like Frieza's 6 different forms? Or Cell's 4 forms? Or Buu's 7 forms? I think that's accurate.

I really love the fictional version of Earth that DragonBall takes place in. Capsules, dinosaurs, monster people, mountains that are on fire, the Martial Arts Tournament, androids, just all of that whacky over-the-top stuff that's treated as mundane and every-day by the characters.
Dragonball Z managed to hold on to that for a while, but not nearly enough and with a huge step in the wrong direction during the Android/Cell saga, which was still pretty good though, and then the shameful Buu saga. But the Vegeta fight, planet Namek, and Frieza were stupendous.
GT sucks the meatballs out of Luciano Pavarotti's asshole.

And the Buu saga wasn't terrible, but its story was the worst I will admit.

Dragonball for me was more enjoyable overall, While DBZ was good i would say the fights are what drew me to it more. While Dragonball was more than that in a way (not just blow this up) i think there was more to the it i guess

Alot of cool things happened during the Buu saga, but the Saga it's self was written flat. I enjoy DBZ even though at one point I became jaded of it and became a hater. I've taken intrest in it again, because it really is a classic.

Although I have more reasons, I like DBZ better than DB and DBGT mainly because Android 18 was introduced in it.
;D She's enough eye candy for the whole franchise.

Main I liked Vegeta when it started out the most, Goku is a favorite, I liked Gohan because he was easy going. Him and Vedel were funny to watch to me. I get into the love stuff.
