I hope you don't think we'd make a big deal with you being light-skinned. Dang, I wish I still had my swimming team and soccer team pictures from high school. They would bring back some memories... Did you hear about the amputee UFC fighter? No, I haven't. What's his name?

Bit too risky to do MMA IMO.

I respect him, but there's no way I'd ever fight him. It's lose/lose. Win & it's "Big deal. This guy had no arms & legs" lose & it's "Daaaaaaamn! You just got beat the fuck up by a dude w/no fuckin' arms. You ain't shit!!!!"

Hopefully, if he goes through with it, he'll get a rep as a good fighter, so his opponents won't have to worry about those kinds of politics.

Well that will be a while, and he'd have to be amazing before that happened. People still wouldn't consider it an entirely fair fight. It'd be like Brock Lesnar beating a high ranking female, there'd still be that *feeling*. Different MMA organizations have different rules, the bigger leagues have less penalties, and I don't know if they'd allow him in or if he'd fare as well. Hope the best for him with whatever he does though.

Were you two ever friends in school?

you two were in the same graduation class right? I saw him going down the hall every now and then, but I never really met him.
Anyway, what I'm saying is, if his MMA career ends up like his wrestling career, which I admittedly doubt, he'll be considered for his advantages as well as his disadvantages.

Oh definitely, but there will still be that "thing", I guess it depends on who he is fighting. If he becomes one of the best and fights a newb, and loses, the newb would get more credit. If he fights someone on his calibur and loses, then the pity party would start.

I don't know how to feel about the armless, legless fighter. I would show'em why he should pick another career, tho.

I would just try to avoid fighting him. Regardless if I win or lose against him, I wouldn't feel good about myself.

Yeah, but it would just feel weird...
Anyway, swimming is still my favorite sport. I've been taking advantage of a nearby lake since it's been hot over here.

I don't hate the heat, either. To be honest, I like the heat because it tempts me to go swimming and I like exercising outside.

Yep, which is why I prefer exercising/working out outside rather than inside a building.

Inside is good when it is a bad weather day. Although I will say I don't hate indoor pools.

Indoor pools are fine, but outdoor pools are better. Why do you prefer outdoors, what times of the year do you like it best?

I prefer the outdoors because it's usually a better and more soothing surrounding. Rather than exercising next to some people in a building, I would rather be outside to breath in fresh air while I'm working out.
My favorite time of the year is Spring since the weather is great. Summer is nice, but it's usually too hot to stay outside for a long time.

Yeah, but we both know that it's going to get hotter in the next couple of days.
I just hope nobody gets a heatstroke.

I don't remember the highest temperature we experienced over here in the past few years, but we did have a heatwave about 2 or 3 years ago.
It was so hot...
