this is for those like to feel the burn!!! please discuss any thing with regards to bodybuilding(technique, supplement's,etc) I myself don't use any supplements or anything like that. I did try protein shakes as a substitute for eggs and stuff like that, but it upset my stomach, so I'm going off of it again.

i use protein because i cant eat enough during the day a work. Yea it is becoming increasingly hard for me to eat, and if I get a call back from this job, I could be doing 10 hour shifts. It's already hard for me to eat. I have to carry some food around with me or something.

That's a good way to start, and mixing it up is an excellent idea.

I don't work out as much as I used to do since work and school is taking over my schedule. Fortunately, I'm able to squeeze in a couple of hours throughout the week.

I am having trouble starting back up again for some reason. I really want to focus on high rep exercises, like pushups and stuff, because last semester I was just on this strength routine, with really heavy weights and around 4 or 5 reps. It's just a matter of making myself start, after a long time off. Then I have 18 hours this semester, which turned out to be a pretty big load to say at the least.
Ugh... must... stop... procrastinating...
Anyone have any suggestions for how I should go about kicking my ass?

The 100% rule we learned in class. I am getting into it more because I get like that too (though I work out, I just put it off) especially with school. I find that getting up early and going it, works a lot better than waiting till 10, then 12, then 2, and then you just do it the next day. Best to just get it done. I got annoyed because I wanted to get everything done and everything just went wrong in the house. Internet for my classes and everything.

I actually made a very serious resolution to stop procrastinating. Getting up earlier than I do sounds unfeasible but, on second thought, if I have a time window set aside strictly for working out, then whenever I do wake up late, it will only cause me to miss my workout, and not school.

Well I mean more of working out right when you get up instead of stockpiling it in your schedule. The busier I am the earlier my workouts tend to get done.

Almost all of my workouts take place in the morning since I wake up early almost everyday. I might as well get it over with so I'll feel good for the rest of the day.
Since I have an on-campus gym, I take full advantage of it.

right on, it really does give you confidence all day when you get it done early in the morning, not to mention it makes your whole body warm for quite a while. I will keep that in mind.

Yeah, it's a great feeling.
I just got out of the shower since I did some exercises before going to bed (which is what I do almost every night if I'm not too tired). I'm not sure if I'm the only one who does that, but it feels good to exercise before going to bed at night.

I never do that because I always have trouble getting to sleep after working out.

Hmmm I've heard some people say that, I sleep weird so it doesn't bother me much, I worked out at midnight this morning after putting it off, got me some food and drifted. I guess it depends on the person and what they do.

Yeah, I have no problem sleeping after a work-out session at night. It's nothing intense, it's just a bunch of stretches, push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, and jumping jacks. All I have to do is take a shower and eat a small snack afterwards, then I can go to bed easily.

Do any of you guys use Hydroxycut? One of my friends use it, and he said it really works. I won't be using it because I don't want to be dependent on a supplement in order to stay in shape. www.hydroxycut.com/

No, I don't use any supplements or fat burners because I don't want to be dependent on them to keep me in shape.
Last time I checked, I was slightly above 200 pounds.

I tried protein sakes again but they put a not in my throat, so no more lactose for me. I was using lactose free milk and low lactose shake though.

I can't drink protein shakes right now since they aren't available in my area.
I use to drink them occasionally while I was on-campus, though.

Well, I guess you have to do what you have to do.
You can still eat the protein bars, right?

I used to eat protein bars all the time during my freshmen year, but that was only because I had the employee discount. I don't get them that much anymore since they're too expensive.
