Yea, we might want to put a limit on that kind of content. I'm not sure it's good to start uploading xrated content on the boards like that. Because then it'd become rotten.com. It might turn me and some other members on but we should keep it in private or something, or make a private board for it. I allowed this one so nobody is in trouble, I just feel uneasy about it being here like that.

Well, I haven't seen it. I vote that somebody deletes the post since I doubt anybody would want to see that picture unless they don't mind seeing that kind of stuff.

Although Alan posted a warning, it still isn't good to allow those kinds of pictures on Internet forums that are PG-13.

Yea, rotten dot com did it to me with all the shotgun suicides and stuff. But seriously that is probably the best route, it'll only get more complaints.


We are technically pg13, but I'm pretty lenient, but if I started posting porn pics with the whole 9 yards, pretty much everyone would get mad, so it would be the same thing. I don't think it's good to start posting xrated content for that reason. Unless I made a private board for it with a password, and people would still have to link it. Once you've seen one seen with gratuitous violence, you've seen them all, but I try not to make someone else's fatal misfortune my entertainment anymore. Anybody who clicked the link must have wanted to be excited a little bit, it's human nature with all the sadism and necrophilia.

Most sites are pg13 or less and the ones that aren't are pretty obvious. On the interenet there really isn't a way to say "this is R, and this is X". At what point do you jump from R to X in a single image. I mean even a topless chick would probably be considered "X", unless it was like a comedy show with profanity, and nobody cares about those.

I don't really care, it's not like anybody cares. Someone would have to file a major complaint and they'd have to come and look at it, which by that time it'd be gone. Nothing to worry about, but then again we don't want our own members upset either.

Seriously though, if we allowed extreme content, the only thing that wouldn't be allowed would be the only thing that is illegal to have, kiddie porn. Then we have to debate on art versus porn. So if we were going that route I'd rather have an adult board with a password, so people don't have to stumble on it and it'd be invisible to new members. I'm not saying one thing or the other, but we should be fine now. I could just seen someone taking it and spamming it onto the thread.

Well, all you'd have to do is put restrictions on pictures that have exposed private body parts in them. Porn is just pictures of exposed private parts, so it shouldn't be hard to tell the difference between porn and art, regardless of who the artist/drawer is.

Also, don't make this into an adult board. If people feel the need to share a graphic or pornographic picture, then he/she should do it via PM while letting the reciever know that the link in the PM leads to a disturbing picture.

You hit the nail on the head, it'd probably be better to link whatever to a member and let them see it with a warning then to go through all of that. I know David's disappointed about not having a porn board but he'll make it.
