Eating cafeteria food is a workout for you? As raw, crusty, uncooked, and raw as that shit is, you better believe it.

Eating cafeteria food is a workout for you? I almost never ate cafeteria food in high school because most of it was greasy. I try not to eat too many fried foods. Eating cafeteria food is a workout for you? As raw, crusty, uncooked, and raw as that shit is, you better believe it. You said "raw" twice.

I've always had a high metabolism, which means that I was able to get away with alot of guilty pleasures while staying in shape.
Ever since middle school, I brought my lunch to school. The only way I would eat cafeteria food is if there was something really good on the menu.

During my 8th grade year, we had pizza for lunch every single day.
I only bought drinks from the concession stands since most of them were high in vitamin C. The only food that was sold there was junk food, such as cookies and candy bars. Those cookies were almost dripping with butter, so I didn't eat any of them at all.

Of course. It's the main reason why I brought my lunch to school almost everyday.
Most schools make money off of their students by giving them popular foods (i.e. junk food), so it's rare to see a healthy selection. Most kids would rather eat something delicious and fattening than to eat something healthy, which is one of the reasons why the obesity rate in the United States is so high.

Bullcrap, the kids I used to hang around in school bought chips and other snacks almost every day, and we were all healthy because we burned it off later on by playing basketball or running around a track field. The only way to get obese is if you don't work off what you eat. I ate snacks all through last week, and lost two pounds. I worked out doing a lot of cardio, got the proper sleep, and I wasn't eating too much, if anything, at night, so I made sure I was going to sleep on an empty stomach. There is a lot you have to do wrong before you become obese, but snacks aren't nearly as bad as people say they are.

Dude, there are plenty of ways to become obese. The most common way is to eat junk food and other fattening foods.
Anyway, some of the kids in this country (USA) don't play sports, diet, or exercise on a daily basis. Just because you and some of the kids you hang out with exercise after eating junk food doesn't mean everyone else does it.
By the way, going to bed on an empty stomach isn't good.

When you go to sleep on an empty stomach, your body is still burning calories, and by going to sleep on any empty stomach you're burning calories from stored fat. If you eat something right before bed, your body is only burning off the calories from that food, and your body won't get around to burning off stored fat.
Try to keep up.

When you go to sleep on an empty stomach, your body is still burning calories, and by going to sleep on any empty stomach you're burning calories from stored fat. You don't have to starve yourself for that to happen. You could still eat something. So, if I eat a small jelly bean before going to bed, does that mean that my body will only burn off the calories from the jelly bean even though it'll have plenty of time to burn calories from my stored fat during my slumber? Doubt it.

God, you're so stupid. Look, if you eat something like a big meal or what not, and don't allow those calories to be burned off before you sleep, then your body spends it's time burning off those calories. I wasn't referring to little foods, only big foods. Also, it's not starving yourself if you don't eat before sleep, idiot. Starving yourself is barely eating throughout the day. If you eat meals all throughout the day and stop at least a few hours before bed, then you're okay.

I'm not surprised that you're already throwing out insults.
Anyway, a person's body would start burning the calories from the stored fat after it finish burning fat from the most recent consumed item, so you don't have to starve yourself for that to happen.
Going to bed on an empty stomach is similar, if not the same, as starving yourself because you're hungry. Like I said before, it isn't good to go to bed on an empty stomach because you might wake up feeling ravenous.

No, you won't. You're meant to have three major meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Usually, people have a big breakfast, and a big dinner so they're not eating before bed. I never said you have to be stark raving hungry before you go to bed, but you shouldn't eat prior to going to bed, otherwise your body will store the food as fat, and your body won't burn the stored fat. Again, since you have a hard time reading, YOU DON'T HAVE TO STARVE YOURSELF, JUST DON'T EAT ANYTHING MAJOR HOURS BEFORE BED. For someone who supposedly works out, you don't know much, especially since you "work out" everyday. Everyone involved in fitness knows that you need rest days, you're not supposed to do exercises every single day, it overworks the heart and can result in death.

Going to bed on an empty stomach (at night) is the same as being hungry at night. Also, you’re contradicting yourself. First, you said that your body only burns the calories from the previously consumed item before sleeping, but now you’re saying that the food gets stored as fat. Please, make up your mind. [sarcasm]Yeah, because a 14 year old (you) knows every single person in fitness and had conversations with them.[/sarcasm] Like I said to your current sock account on KMC, it’s okay to work out everyday as long as you can handle it. I can handle it because I’ve been into fitness ever since my younger years and I’m used to it. Besides, I only work out 1-3 hours. If I worked out for extremely long hours everyday, then I would be in trouble. Since I don’t, I’m okay. By the way, it’s pretty bad to say I don’t know much about fitness when you’re the main person who kept pming me for fitness tips. Also, there were several times in which you asked me for advice on your "relationship", but I won't get into that.

This thread is gonna need locking soon.
Does anyone here actually have real nutritional expertise? like something along the lines of a college education? maybe just a class or two?
A few things: 1) Three meals a day is not the optimum amount of meals a day. It is simply the optimum amount when considering convenience. Five meals a day will boost your metabolism substantially. It's inconvenient to set aside five sections of your day for food as opposed to just three. Small meals scattered throughout the day will get your body used to a more constant "energy input" so to speak. The body accounts for this, and as such is able to burn more calories doing the same activities.
2)A workout does not have to involve extremely high anaerobic exertion. Most people can work out with smaller weights every day, as the muscles don't take long to repair from this. Rest days are usually vital for when you completely max out your muscles in a short period of time. For example, I wait a week between every time I work with the bench press, and my pecs have improved enormously. On the other hand, I might do 50 pushups a day for a week and that routine might give me the most improvement.
3)Everyone's body is different. People don't always get fat by eating too much of the wrong stuff and not exercising enough. Some people just have naturally low metabolisms. Another thing is hormones. Everyone has hormones that tell the brain when they are full. Very often, people actually become obese because these hormones do not work properly. I've met some people who claim they've never felt full a day of their lives. My mom is a nutritionist and she's working with a company that sells a product to treat this. It's extremely effective in nearly every case I've seen.
4)This thread is starting to get very personal. It's going to get locked if things get too far out of hand. (probably. I don't even know if C is monitoring this.)

Also, there were several times in which you asked me for advice on your "relationship", but I won't get into that. I've talked to people who have been bodybuilding and lifting for years. All you ever told me was to do more push-ups and sit-ups, things everyone else had already told me, I never got any major advice from you. Also, regarding the relationship, I asked for your opinion on a few things, but never advice. Hell, you were the one scared to go talk to a girl who is supposedly your girlfriend now. Fact of the matter is, you're a dumbass, you don't know anything, so stay out of a thread where people may need help. Dja Majista, thanks for the correct insight on nutrition and what not. I'm glad someone else here besides me knows what they're talking about. Now, what I was getting at was that eating all large and small meals a few hours before bed means you're going to bed without being full, meaning you have a chance to burn more calories from the stored fat. I'd really recommend everyone to do this. Some people will say that they may eat something before bed and do some push-ups or sit-ups. What people don't realize is that neither exercise burns fat, and instead forms muscle, but it's cardio that has to burn off the fat for a more ripped physique. Also, the body needs to use muscles to digest food, so if you exercise right after eating, you're doing more harm than good.

Alright kids. Let's play nice, no need to bash each other. You don't have to like each other but let's be polite before I have to issue warnings. And joker you're a mod, you can't go around insulting other members because it makes *us* look bad, we're not KMC. We don't go around bashing members. And plus if you were to try to be professional in the future, incidences like this make you look bad and hurt your credibility. Let's just let it chill. I had a fighting test yesterday so I missed this until I saw David warn.

I'm not naming names any more than I did, I just want everyone to get along, it's nothing personal. No I passed very well, just had to work on my execution. I tend to not put enough effort in what I do since I like to train myself not to try that hard, which goes well with my personality.

Sorry, C-Master, he just gets to me because of the fact that he picks fights over little things, but I'll drop it. It wasn't a bad test at all, but you live and learn. The worst part was the medicine I took that dried me out and I didn't have water. I'm used to working out and going in the sun working with it, but doing that without moisture drained my insides and I literally couldn't breathe and had to get water. That was my biggest learning lesson. I probably won't take it on the day of the test, or take more water. I can test whenever, but it will be at least six months, no worries.
